BullsBoy 11 I understand what your saying but we can't score goals and he can but nothing happens as normal at Wolves. At the moment we have three strikers Sasa Jiminez and Silva are you confident they can get the goals we need to get up the league. Jimineze is past it Silva still not convinced he can score double figures in PL.Sasa nobody knows yet what he can do so w
Old it not be better to buy a striker and fingers crossed he gets the goals we need.

Dek123, you're correct in that we struggled to score goals last season and on the face of it we need a proven goalscorer but Jimenez can score at the highest level but hasn't been the same since his injury and who would ever blame him if he called it a day.
Fabio has had a season on loan and grown his reputation. If rumours are to be believed, some of the bigger clubs around Europe are after him. He may be given a chance here and for all we know, he's improved beyond all recognition from the player that departed last year.
Sasa needs to be given a chance to show Lopetegui what he can do. If any if them fail to impress in pre season then I don't doubt that Lopetegui will show them the door.

We know the problem we'll now Dek, but the answer is not simple. Proven strikers cost big bucks, and everyone wants them. Gyokeres is a risk as he is stepping up a level or 2, and the attraction of a bigger club is always an issue for us. Once a name is thrown around the circus prices increase. We have to hope for another deal under the radar and not get stung again.

I suppose what I was saying is that it could be that the club knew they couldn't compete with an offer from Benfica so withdrew their interest. In truth though Dek I actually agree with what your saying! I hope more than anybody (as someone that fought Fabios corner for a good while:) that Fabio has beefed up, has learnt his trade and is ready to be the perfect player that Cunha can play off! Dito for Sasa! However, as I've said before there's no getting away from the fact that we scored the lowest amount of goals in the league last season! We MUST add goals somewhere, now that could also be a player that is going to help get goals out of Cunha but either way the stats don't lie! We can't expect to keep scoring less than everyone else in the league and not get relegated! I'm not panicking, cause I'm pretty sure Lope and Hobbs have a plan. But however you dress it up this sqaud HAS to have more goals in it next season! ??

I still think the biggest issue we have is slow play. The opposition always have cover back by time we get into shooting positions.

Regarding goals, I don’t recall Dawson taking many (if any) set pieces as he did for other clubs. Wasn’t that one of his specialties?

Coady was always best at sending in long diagonal balls for counter attacks so need someone to step up.

Traore was great at getting down the wing at lightning speed to send in the cross but no one else was fast enough to keep up with him and get on the end of it!

Agree with CAMO - more one to one passing needed, close down quicker and stop passing ball sidewards and backwards all the time! We’ve done it even from a corner!

You wouldn't want Dawson taking the set pieces cause he's one of the best in the air we have! He did score from a set piece agaisnt Liverpool (great goal and even better result)! He can definitely chip in with more though (as shown at WHU) but as others have suggested it's not just about our strikers. We need better crosses/deliveries as well cause we don't score nearly often enough from our set pieces. I'm sure Lope will get them well drilled befoew ko ?

I would make Dawson as captain.he has been a great signing at £3 mil .I think we need 5 players two defenders one winger two strikers . because we have good players still left.as some on here say if they haven't got the heart and don't want to play for the badge then get rid of them.yes I've seen the highs and lows but I still love my team.trouble is money is ruining football.its got out of hand now .

I a proper old fashion striker english. i no theirs strikers out their that's what I would look for . someone gets ball runs towards goal head down then fires a hard shot at goal and scores.just like bully .as a lot of us no that we wouldn't be where we are now if it wasn't for bully .
