Jeff Shi is THE problem.
Team picked itself sat - no one else on bench!
The root cause is Shi!
Hes not got a clue.Proven last couple of years and especially now.
Obvious to everyone Bruno should have gone at end of last season (I was crying out for that then - not a Jonny come lately on the bandwagon here now)
But no, Shi keeps him on, let's him spend £100m - incl £40m on proven useless Hwang and you only got to look at his track record - waste if money and hopeless Guedes.
And then another panic £17m on proven injury prone Sasa.
So that £60m wasted .and then he sacks Bruno after its spent!
.and now penny pinching and faffing about trying to get in a cheap failing and fading has been manager (Lopetegui). rather than pay big (it's only one fee and for the key man)and chase really top man.I'd have Amorin if we could get him - try! And pay!
Shi is THE problem.
He got rid of excellent execs - Dalyrymple and Thewliss (sp?). They were great.and proving it elsewhere now!
Look at Coady - gone for £4.5m! pathetic.
You all reckon?

Shi may well be the problem. Some of our transfer activity/decisions have been bizarre. Yes it would have made sense to get rid of Bruno at the end of last season. In the 18 months or so that Bruno was at the club, I don't think there was a single wolves fan that had come to the conclusion that he was the man for the job. We were all sitting with fingers crossed that it would somehow all come good. It's easy and obvious now, to see that that was not going to happen. Where Bruno is concerned, it started for me when he publicly slated Hoever after he went off injured. Here was a man who was desperate to do well but out of his depth and would throw any of his players under the bus to protect himself. The excuses kept flowing just as the football stopped flowing. And even after being sacked he was still blaming other things. It is now clear, the extent of the damage he has done and the state he has left us in. But yes, Shi has to take his share of the blame

What I always think is that the club fosun chose to put Shi and sellars into their new roles and if they both are not good enough of which I see from most fans they are not then it's fosun who are to blame for giving the two of them the roles they have.
Regarding Lage I always backed him as I'm loyal to a fault.
Whatever happens this season we all will always be wolves and the fans together is always the rock of any club and I have always been proud to associate myself with like-minded wolves fans.
The good in all fans is what makes the life experience of being wolves better more so when we are in the mire.
I hope with everything g crossed we get it right with the appointment of our new manager.
Whoever it is whether Shi and Sellars remain everyone will still always get behind the team and that's what matters imo.

As much as I agree with the points raised here what concerns me is what happens next. Suspensions and injuries aside, not the long-term ones, on paper we have a top half squad.

However, even with some of those players on the pitch we were still failing. Some, me included, eventually came to the conclusion that much of that was down to Lage's team selection and game management, personified by his performance at West Ham. However, there was no sudden improvement on the weekend either, under different, albeit temporary management.

Some seem to be under the illusion that a new Manager/Coach will walk in wave a magic wand and normal service will be resumed, I'm not so sure now. It may take longer than the time we have actually got. This points to Rollo's point about needing to have started the season with a new manager instead of being seduced into the belief that Lage just needed new players.

Personally, I've replaced the word 'expect' with the word 'hope' because there are no guarantees.

Agree wholeheartedly phil and longmynd, I was and am always supportive of the club no matter who is sending players out and of those players, the west ham selection made me mad because it seemed obvious isn't wasn't going to be for the good and I lost faith in bruno. Regarding the players, we do have the quality but not the inclination it seems. We need an impassioned manager now who can convey the work effort and tactics to bond them into a proud wolves unit. This brings me to Fosun Shi sellars, I'll never shoot the hand that's fed us and that's why I hope they have maybe learnt some lessons and will listen to the requirements of the incoming manager and prey they will now choose wisely. No matter what, wolves are the supporters, players/managers come and go but we are, must be, the ever-present and give whoever that solid backing and chance to put things right.

Hwang was £14million not £40million.
Still that £14million could have gone towards a decent striker, it would have gotten us Diaz from Blackburn.

Sorry radio mate I read your post wrong, you clearly meant £40million for Hwang and Guedes combined, the latter is playing with a injury so give him benefit of the doubt for now.

Sharesum at the beginning of March we were very close to European football but our thin squad dwindling our hopes, he asked for his players in the summer, got them but wasn’t really given the chance, no one will no now what would of could of happened
Let’s just get behind this new manager
And stick together ?

What did happen was one win in 15 matches, that statistic would get any manager sacked.

Completely agree with RolloWolf, why waste time with Lopetegui, how can we trust him, let us down with the start of the Fosun regime and went to manage Spain and then let everyone know he was letting them down after the World Cup to go to Real Madrid, that leaves me with no trust for the man to unravel Wolves problems.

I agree with Steve Bulls choice, one man to go after and pay him what he wants to get Wolves rolling again - Mauricio Poccetino, come on Jef Shi Open your eyes, pay the money and get the best, not an has been, fulfill the dream and get us back into Europe

{Ed014's Note - all that and he’s clearly not a good manager either.

Pochettino would be a great choice.
