I like how you do player ratings you get all numbers 1 to 10 but when the E&S do it they give 6 or 7 mostly never seen lower than 3.

{Ed001's Note - the problem with newspaper reports is that the reporter has to type up the report during the game to submit it the moment the game finishes. So they are pretty much guessing as they miss half the game typing.}

Maybe but even if a player has a poor game they will get 5 only if they are really poor they would get 4 a goalie with not much to do gets 6.

{Ed001's Note - I have never understood that. A player can give away the ball repeatedly leading to goals and still get a 4. Surely they should get a much lower score as they have cost their team? I think a lot of that is because the journo has only watched bits and pieces so don't know if the player has been outstanding for the rest of the game and just made a couple of loose passes.}

I understand that but if the E&S started giving 1 or 0 for a player it would be odd but I think they should because 0 means not good enough to play at this level.

Yes giving away goals, lazy defending, losing all their tackles etc.

They once gave Neves 10 after an amazing goal and a generally good performance but that is unusual.

{Ed001's Note - I think they are afraid to upset the club by giving low scores.}
