The Pele signing for â‚¬2 million is slightly bermusing considering the club has aspirations to fill the squad with superstars as is Costa who is said to be another VLP type. The other new player, Silver, has a lot of quality but has spent most of his career on the physio's table.

Like I said, it would be hard to see how these 3 would play at all if Wolves do start signing Premiership class quality in every position. It will certainly be interesting seeing how things develop from here but sincerely hope Mendes isn't just bringing in dross to line his own pocket. We will find out soon, I guess and they can't be any worse than Batth, EEL, Savile, Coady, Edwards and co.

Thomas Lemar started for Monaco in champs league qualifier tonight so I'm guessing it wasn't him at Compton yesterday and Cavaliero came on as sub for them too I think so are we not in for these two as suggested? Gutted if that's the case:- (

No, I think Wolves are deadly serious about Lemar and especially Cavaleiro but it may well be next week if they were to come for a medical. Wolves were waiting for this game to finish tonight before they could do anything.

Really hope you are right Wavidsmith because a midfield of Lemar and Talisca with a quality sitting midfielder is mouthwatering! Especially if Cavaliero was on one wing and Silva or Salvio on the other! Insane this could potentially happen!

I agree. I particularly like the Monaco sitting midfielder called B Carvalho Silva who's available for around â‚¬15 million and the other winger from Benfica called E Salvio â‚¬20. We were linked to both earlier this week.

Isnt salvio a right back or full back and he plays for atletico madrid and was on loan at benfice or am I just thinking about the wroung one because there is a salvio who plays for benfica but no chance of getting him.

Yes, mate it is the Benfica player Eduardo Salvio. He was muted around the premiership last season but nobody came. He is still available for around Â£15 million.

The talk originally were wingers Talisca and Salvio in a Wolves â‚¬50 double swoop. We have the Talisca fee sorted but not sure what happened to Salvio.

The other two expensive targets are midfielders T Lemar and B Silva from Monaco who would command a fee of around the Â£10 million mark each.
