Just heard the club are in talks with Martinez?
Not sure how true it is but the guy who mentioned this knows people who work at Compton park on the coaching staff.

I am very good friends with Danny Batth's uncle and the 1st team physios brother and believe me they were unaware of who was taking over and they have no idea about who is going to be the new manager.

Probably his level, the Championship. Definitely an upgrade from Kenny but a lot of fans won't like Martinez's style.

What style's this? Bad season last year, loved for virtually the rest of his career. passing football, movement. He was propped up as one of the new bright things at Swansea and Wigan with his style of play. crap defensively but if they took their chances Everton would have won a lot more.

wavidsmith who wouldn't like Martinez's style on here? Yes at Everton he was a little negligent of the defence. But Everton and Wigan played expansive, attacking football.

Is Jackett DEFINITELY going then? I've seen very little about it other than the express and star's story and daily express's guesswork. virtually no one else has said he'll be sacked. I'm still not certain he will be. I can't bear another year of Saville left wing : (

I was just talking about Martinez making a mess of Stone's defensive career. Listen to Jason Cundy on Talksport and you will see what I mean. I personally don't think he's that bad.

Saville is an awful player, truly dreadful. But you could almost say the same about Batth, EEL, Evans, Edwards, Coady, Byrne and Henry. Makes you realise how poor Jackett is as a manager.

If Martinez is so bad, how come he was effectively headhunted by Everton and won the FA cup with Wigan with no money?
