Anyone have any new news on either Bamford or Wood coming to Molinuex?

Yes David Davis has signed for Barnsley until the New Year! I think either Michael Jacobs or Price will get the number 8 shirt this season most likely Jacobs or even a new signing!

I still fear at centre half. We need one. Stearman for me is very weak for the championship (i hope I'm wrong) his end to last season covered over the cracks but we're playing against teams strikers cost 7mil - 11mil not 500 k in league 1.

You want to fear for baath not stearman, why do you all make stearman a scapegoat he as genuine pace to cope at this level were baath is one paced slow

Stearman for me was by far the best defender we had last season. When he wasn't in the team and Batth played alongside Ricketts, I thought Batth looked vulnerable. Stearman showed composure and brought the best out of Batth and as a pairing are rock solid. I agree we need cover, but I have no fears in having Stearman at the back, infact he is my 1st choice CB

Stearman is not a bad defender he is actually a very good defender what he lacks though is judgement. He picks the ball up and runs when he shouldn't although I prefer this to what Batth does which is take it from Ikeme and boot it down the line or straight to the opposition centre halves. Again Danny is a good defender but he needs to work on his distribution massively I've had a season ticket for the past 5 years and to be honest they are both better than christophe Berra so let's just be happy aye!

Stearman made a lot more mistakes last season than batth. I do agree bathh ain't the best passer of the ball but if you watched league 1 games thoroughly every team targeted stearmn in the air and behind me because he is weak in them areas. Champoinship very phyiscal where I think batth will thrive under that

I agree with the post above. Danny Baath is a very good defender and will only get better as he matures. His distribution however is absolutely terrible. If he works on that part of his game he can become an outstanding player well capable of playing in the Prem (with Wolves I hope).

The best defences are not always the ones with the best individuals, it's about the unit. Wolves, granted against League one strike forces, were a solid reliable unit last time out and for me there is no question that they can continue to be. Integrate the youth rather than investing outside on a new CB - Stears and Danny deserve there chance and if it's not working come Jan, which I am sure will not be case, we can re-assess options. The priority now should be finding another Kev Mac.
