Does anyone know what the current injury progress is with Wayne Hennessey? Is he likely to be ready for pre season?

1.) 16 Jun 2013
Hope he does not play for wolves again because he is over rated, Ikeme way ahead of him

2.) 17 Jun 2013
How can people disagree with the question that 'Old gold wolf' is asking? My God, there are some real Muppets around!

3.) 17 Jun 2013
Ikeme is definately not ahead of Hennessy, ikeme is such a bad keeper, great reflexes but when he's called into action especially long range his positioning is terrible! you obviously don't know anything about goalkeeping

4.) 17 Jun 2013
Neither do you then, how many times was Hennessy beaten by long range efforts in the prem? I remember Defoe not being able to hit a barn door all season and put 2 in from 30 yards. He a good shot stopper, weak from distance, weak on crosses and weak on one side. Good keeper over hyped into something he's not or why has he not been snapped up by anyone in last 3 seasons

5.) 17 Jun 2013
They might be disagreeing to say no? Yes there are some muppets about aren't there.

6.) 17 Jun 2013
He hasn't been snapped up for two years because he's been injured. The previous season he was linked to Arsenal and Man City.

Those Defoe goals were absolute worldies so that's a poor example.

He's a good shot stopper, best distribution I've seen from a goalkeeper in years, at any level, with both feet. Yes he has some weaknesses but he's still young in goalkeeping terms.

He is far better than Ikeme.

Plus as u said Hennessy got beat by Defoe and England player in the prem Ikeme got beat several times by championship players in the championship I rate de. vries higher than Ikeme but Hennessy still a way clear at the top of are keepers

8.) 17 Jun 2013
The year we got relegated from prem Wayne made considerably more saves than any other keeper at 1 stage he had made 120 saves the next closest was vroom with 70. He also caught more crosses and punched more crosses than any other keeper that season. It showed last season how bad our defence was for the premier league. If you give premier league players time and space and allow them to shoot a high percentage will go in. Wayne would have gone last season for good money had he not got injured. Ikeme is ok but if with Wayne in goal we would not have been relegated.

9.) 17 Jun 2013
We have three good keepers. For distribution DeVries has to be the best of all our goalkeepers, defenders and several midfield players.

10.) 17 Jun 2013
Ok, so it wasn't ment to start a debate about the best keeper, only wanted an injury update!

11.) 17 Jun 2013
I can't stand ikeme does not know how to kick a ball

12.) 18 Jun 2013
I'm surprised no-one's disagreed with you there too OGW! Spot on by the way. Hennesey is different league to Ikeme. De Vries IS better with his feet, but that's hardly the making of a good keeper. If Hennesey is fit, I believe he'l stay-christ, he should if just to pay off the past year and a half's doctor's bill- he'll be by far the best keeper in L1

13.) 18 Jun 2013
Henno will stay for a while at least, if only because he's not fit enough to be transfered. Wouldn't be surprised he he's loaned out to a struggling Premier or Champ club later in the season, though.
