i work on the turnstiles and there's no money at this club, when an ex wolves player has to pay to watch a game. not saying who it is but played on the left wing in the 70ts and 80ts

Paying his way, proper order. The working fans have to and watch the under achievers so why shouldn't his mystery player? this is of course assuming this is the truth.

Wish we had a player like Waggy now

To true

why shouldn't he have to pay?

5.) 20 Feb 2013
The way things are going at the club, he might have a chance of getting into the dressing room and pulling his boots on again!

6.) 20 Feb 2013
I worked at a butchers shop once; doesn't mean I can go back and help myself to a pork chop when I feel like it.

7.) 20 Feb 2013
I manage a bank does that apply to me?
Siewolf

8.) 20 Feb 2013
The end of last year we were also one of few clubs with a postive bank balance?

and the parashoot payments and sales of top players pretty sure we do have money just depends how much jez and steve want to use?

and why shouldtn he pay we all have to?

9.) 20 Feb 2013
Usually you would not pay to watch your old club pay football, because when you retire you become part of the ex players club. I understand what you are saying but I do not know of any club, league or non league who would charge entry to ex players. I'm not saying its right just that that is how it is.

10.) 20 Feb 2013
I think the position we're in is all down to the players not trying hard enough. Doyle has not scored a goal for ages and is a waste of space

11.) 20 Feb 2013
How does this person on the turnstile even know? It's tickets with electronic barcodes, how does he know who paid for it?

12.) 20 Feb 2013
I think the guy on the turnstile is referring to the best left winger, I have seen play for Wolves in the last 50 years. A relative of mine sat next to him in the North Bank a couple of years back. Evidently this ex player did say that the Wolves don't treat their ex players as well as some other clubs. But that is the hard nose commercialism of Jez Moxey, who is tight with everyone apart from himself. Jez's total gross salary for the 3 seasons we were in the Prem amounted to more than £3 million, and that is excluding his pension provisions. So that is, amongst other things, where our Early Bird money goes.

And if he did pay then the money surely would have gone to Barnsley as the home club.

14.) 21 Feb 2013
I think the point i'm making is irrelevant wheather he can afford it or not other clubs let there ex players in for free, and waggy was a gem of a player. your points about being a butcher or a banker is bo--ocks to this, ex wolves player who wants to watch wolves

15.) 21 Feb 2013
If there was no money in the football club do you not think they would do away with the people pointlessly sitting at the turnstiles, considering we spent £100,000's on a new electronic ticket and turnstiles system.

Waggy left in '76 so the OP must mean someone else. Can't think of who in the '81 team would be consisdered a winger. Mel Eves perhaps?

Yes, a player like Waggy now would be just the job.
