Benik Afobe having medical at Bournemouth tomorrow, not sure if he will be in the squad today.

09 Jan 2016 14:03:56
Afobee not in squad today do defo gone.

09 Jan 2016 14:33:56
They got a few players that would do a job for us in part exchange.

But doubt we have even asked the question.

09 Jan 2016 15:05:27
I guess we all knew he wouldn't be in the squad given his likely move to Bournemouth but I like the squad 4411 - Siggy at the front picked ahead of Alf, Zyro and RVLP on the wings Edwards presumably no 10 (or is that RVLP? ) , Mc and Coady in the middle and the usual back 4 and Ikeme. Saville on the bench rather than Price otherwise the usual suspects including Graham who's injured and Henry. Go Siggy. Go Wolves.

09 Jan 2016 15:37:12
Lets hope it's wolves who've had a bid accepted for Zach Clough confirmed by Lennon earlier.

09 Jan 2016 16:25:41
It was Bristol City Darbo.

09 Jan 2016 16:38:47
Well we're in trouble now with Siggy being stretchered off only 1 forward in the club!

09 Jan 2016 18:25:15
The club's a joke I hope it's sold soon to someone with a bit more ambition think morgan will pocket the 10 million before he goes.

09 Jan 2016 19:39:05
It's all coming true.
One true voice.
Here's the realist.
Our club is in meltdown.
Sako, Stearman afobe,
Ikeme Iorfa KMac.
The redman is hurting.

09 Jan 2016 19:43:18
Lets not forget Arsenal get a sell on fee. I'm getting sick of all of this. knowing our luck our next striker will be an eighteen year old from Chesterfield another "one for the future"

Lets see if the money is reinvested before we all go into meltdown mode.

Until then,

UP THE WOLVES.

PS I am hoping Bournemouth get relegated (not a case of sour grapes, just dislike them from last seasons antics) .

09 Jan 2016 20:33:27
Only one striker (ALF) at the club. they'll get Bright or Niall to fill in now and will play one up top for the rest of the season. conned the fans again.

09 Jan 2016 21:54:39
Can't play ALF against Cardiff either, which leaves us with? Enobakhare, RVLP? Time to spend - NOW! Sad to see Sigudarson stretchered off.

I'm a massive Wolves fan of 35 years and many my not like what I have to say but maybe we've been in a bubble for the last 25 years.
Bankrolled by the amazing Sir Jack for many of those years we now have to be a self funded club and not rely on trying to outspend every other team in the second tier of English football.

I, like every other fan hope we are sold to a wealthy buyer willing to invest in the club and the city but let's be realistic.
We have a proud past but we've not won a major prize for 35 years, our financial balance sheet and facilities probably give us a chance of investment.
I hope I'm wrong but I'd surprised if much of the Afobe fee is reinvested and I'm afraid nothing will change in the near future.

Experience at the back and some pace up front may just give us half a chance but we probably over achieved last year.
I may appear negative but I don't think I'm far away from the truth.
We'll never die, We'll keep the gold flag flying high!

10 Jan 2016 01:51:42
Thought we actually played pretty well today and actually looked better without Afobe. Defo need another pair of strikers urgently. And a defender.

09 jan 2016 01:57:16
alright wolves fans this is my first post on here. after reading all the posts on here for ages i've finally decided to make my first post after reading some of the posts and lmoa at some of the ones on here.

yeah we all known afobe was going to be sold since the club was put up for sale again so no shock really. we got him for £2 m and that was one hell of a shock we ended up with the leading goal machine in england. we turned down £10m last season and he's still going for the same money maybe more if possible depending on jez. ok we all hate jez as a tight fisted pie eating champ, but you got to admit, when it comes to selling players he's good at what he does.

morgan is meant to have paid £2 m yeah and we all have probably forgotten that the gunners will have a sell on clause somewhere in the sale when we got him. so say well sell him for £10-12 m we got to pay the gunners and his agent etc. what money you think we going to have to spend? hardly anything prob around £3m after morgan has taken his money out.

so please jez, make sure when you sell him you include one this time. don't want the same mistake we made when we sold lescott to everton for £3m then next minute he goes to man city for £24m. will be a shame to see afobe go, but i'm hoping once he does and morgan has his money, the club will be sold off cheap and that's the last we see of morgan.

there is loads of rumors about billionaires buying the club. only time will tell, but can't see a sale of the club being made until afobe has gone. as for 350k for willamson, we have the money to buy him just not going to pay 40-60k per week for him. maybe when the club is sold we don't know what the new owners want to do with us.

probably the reason the club ain't been sold yet is, morgan not including the afobe sale in the price. can't really see morgan selling the club for say £40-50m and letting the new owner have all the profit out of the afobe sale. if you think of the money strikers like afobe. morgan is hoping wolves and himself make the going rate for a player like him.

can't really see him going for less than £12m. better than fletcher in my eyes, so £10m is cheap. A bidding war is about to start now with jez playing transfer window poker. will be an interesting few weeks till the transfer window shuts. i'm happy to see siggy back though.

09 Jan 2016 08:56:40
I'm actually starting to believe all the doom posts now and that the realist is right.

Atm the club haven't offered any ray of light to get our hopes ups.

I ain't been to watch them in 2 months as the football is dire.

I'll be going to the Cardiff game but with very little enthusiasm.

We need to get a LB, Expierenced CB and a Striker to replace Afobe, I don't care if they are loans we just need these areas strengthened to atleast stay mid table.

09 Jan 2016 10:10:55
It's a sad reality of what we have become, all we can do is hope some of the money will be made available, to be honest I'm not sure any will. We have got to get out of this period and look at survival this season, and hope the potential new owner will see what a great club we are and invest. Good luck at West Ham today, going to need it I think.

09 Jan 2016 11:53:14
Williamson is on 25k a week not 40-60 and it's this is why we have to sell Afobe to help pay wages for players as well personally aslong we add some and I think Morgan
Will allow KJ to we will be okay and still in play off fight.

09 Jan 2016 14:05:43
There is nothing I'd like more Matt, hope you are right, I really do.

09 Jan 2016 14:56:49
If rather Williamson and another player than Afobe tbh, siggy has looked good upfront and played well against Brighton, deserves a chance.

08 Jan 2016 23:56:54
Time now to see if there is any ambition remaining at board level.

1.) Reject £12m, demanding £15m. It's early in the window and it's obvious Bournemouth's interest is strong. It's widely been reported that there are FIVE clubs interested; surely putting us in a strong position.

2.) Bid for Sam Byram from Leeds. Cellino has said he's looking to sell. Cough up £5m - that should be enough.

3.) Bring in at least 2 strikers who can do the business for us. Nahki Wells from Huddersfield - £5m and/ or Dwight Gayle from Crystal Palace - £10m. Tom Bradshaw or Adam Armstrong worth a look at but as back-ups only.

4.) Bring in Williamson from Newcastle, but only if the wages are not taking advantage of the club.

09 Jan 2016 08:40:28
You need to stop playing football manager and get in the real world. Even IF we get £15m for Afobe Morgan will take back the £2m we spent on him and then arsenal will definitely have a sell on clause which will probably take another £2m for arguments sake. That leaves £11m and do you really believe Morgan will provide the whole sum to reinvest? I seriously doubt it. We might get 5 if we're lucky!

09 Jan 2016 12:11:07
Wolfie what planet you on?
They never spend that kind of money where have you been the last two years?
Like Robeec said stop playing football manager and come back to the real world.

09 Jan 2016 17:06:38
You do realize Wolfie that that's 20 million plus down the drain there. How much money do you think KJ has to spend? He'll probably get 3-4 million on players and I don't see Williamson coming to the club. I've heard that Armstrong could come to the club and he has been playing similar to how Afobe was last season. I doubt we'd spend £10 million pound on Dwight Gale who has been told he can leave.

08 Jan 2016 22:56:44
Right first time I've ever posted on here but I'm forever reading about it. My mom visits a gentleman who is friendly with Robert Plant. Apparently the Mike Williamson deal has fell through because Morgan has literally not put a penny in and is letting the club pay for itself. Supposedly according to this source we literally don't have 350k available for Williamson.

Don't know how true any of this is as I don't know the chap or nothing and he is a patient of my Mothers.

If this is true however can only see the sale of Afobe meaning that the funds are going to go towards keeping the club afloat rather than actually being reinvested.

Sorry to be morbid folks but the future definitely doesn't look bright while we are still in Morgan's hands.

09 Jan 2016 11:57:09
The money isn't needed to stay afloat as the one decent thing Morgan and Moxey have done is get us running self-sufficiently, which means we can still operate as a club without any investment. Albion are also the same and we are in the minority as most clubs would fall apart if the owners stopped investing.
