We need a proper striker not a 31yo defender from probably the worst team in the World Cup.
To be fair, a lot of teams didn't make it to the world cup.
Euroman, Wales didn't even make it to the world cup, so are you saying you wouldn't want Bale.
I think you'll find the worst team in the world cup is a lot closer to home than cameroon!

OK OK so I take back worst team in the World Cup comment. After all we have Mali (and Irish, strictly) internationals in our squad whose countries weren't there and Sako and Dicko are stars.
It's easy to say yes to Bale and no to Luiz now but Luiz after his free kick against Colombia would have been on everyone's shopping list. Now we're all probably saying Batth and Stearman are far better than Luiz.
Luiz: One free kick! He was rubbish at defending with Chelsea last year and rubbish at defending with Brazil - no further evidence necessary
Actually, there is further evidence; Luz's clearing header yesterday, straight to the penalty spot = 2:0

As a unit I thought the German defence was as good as they come but as an individual I think Mascherano was the best defender at the World Cup. Not a good time for a Brazilian to put "international defender" on their CV!
