As many as four or five players, including Ronald Zubar and Eggert Jonsson, are expected to leave during the current window.

I think Hanson would be a better buy. The signs are we are going back to basics which got us out the division in the first place. For me the biggest unsung hero of that campaign was Iwelumo and this kid reminds me of him.
More recently Norwich, Saints and West Ham all went up with a big man at number 9. Thoughts?

Morgan has said he wants to ship nine and revamp the squad by cutting the dead wood which is more then fine by me.

Aaron ramsey? I think half the teams in the premier league might beat us to that one. How about Jake livermore, quality player from spurs. That is if we don't get frimpong.

Ramsey was loaned out to Forest not that long ago, so its not beyond the realms of possibility

Yeah he was on loan at forest to get fitness up after over a year out with injuries - we did the same with kites last year, doesnt mean he'd go on loan to watford now

Planning on cutting the squad down from 50 to around 28 with up to 15 players leaving and 6-7 moving out over the next two transfer windows. Also putting the stand on hold to provide money to back Saunders in the January transfer window.

What does 15 leaving and 6 -7 moving out mean? isn't that just 21-22? {Ed011's Note - He means 15 leaving overall in the long run, 6 or so out in January and 7+ out in the summer.

All fans want a decent amount of players coming in, think 5-6 would be about the right number, but i would like to do it on any money we make from the 15 leaving, as we should get a few million from them and then we can reinvest in quality not quantity with slightly higher wages. no point having 50 professionals at the club when 30 aren't playing but are draining the wage bill. would like to see a change in the loanees as well. maybe get griffiths and doherty back playing and get batth and margrietter and forde out on loan. though i have a feeling that saunders might give forde a bit more of a run in the team.

Frank Nouble has this afternoon joined Ipswich Town on an 18-month deal for an undisclosed fee.

Can't understand why we signed him in the first place? still scratching me head abt tht one..

Terry Connor signed him for us according to E&S, so he wanted him over at Ipswich.

It's laughable because he has been injured for longer than he has been fit. And its not a rumour its someone who thinks kieron dyer is worth a punt, which is what his last 3 clubs have thought. They've all been wrong

Very sensible how many are picking up wages but not contributing anything, saunders in nobodys fool, 99 per cent effort won't be enough the p!! taking will stop and will stop today, whatever happens under deano on the pitch he will clear out the deadwood and maoke us a stronger club.the realist.

Stale wasn't the disaster some now seem to be making him out to be. It's the lack of depth in the quality of the team that's the problem. Funny how Deano now (allegedly) gets £10m to spend.

Now imagine how things could have been if that was available back in August for Stale.

Stating how much money we have to spend leaves open to clubs jolding us ransom over players knowing we have the budget!
As a club we conduct our transfers really well!

You all talk like teams are knocking our doors down for these players! A lot of them are crap and will be lucky if the likes of Plymouth and Torquay come in for them and the good players teams want we will want to keep! Then there are their contracts that a lot of clubs can't match so the players have got to want to go! Also I cannot for the life of me imagine Moxey and Morgan letting players go for next to nothing! It's one thing saying we are cutting the squad and getting rid of the dead wood and investing in 6 or 7 quality players! It's another thing doing it! Don't go getting too disheartened if it doesn't turn out like that in the next 3 weeks or so! This whole mess is going to take a long time to sort out!

Is it just me or are all the players we are being linked with now dead boring. I wanted Erick Torres and Tim Matvz! Not some sub-standard players from the leagues below. I know that is where Jarvis and Kightly came from, but they were two players out of a lot of bad signings. Almost all of Solbakken's signings excited me when they were fit and have a lot of potential. Really hope we continue to look for class over huff and puff, doubt we will though.

I agree i think we shud have hired stale as tht scout over therewell lol
