Just wanted to say we're been linked with james mcclean now I've seen this a few times in last couple of months no I genarlly think there's something in this know okay he can be a bit crazy sometimes but I'm sure kj would keep him under control as our discipline is very good but I don't care what anyone says that kid is still only 25 and has outstanding ability he can beat players score goals he's quick dynamic and can cross and ball and pretty good at set pecies okay what happens with things at Wigan are his own personally views that off the pitch from 0-90 mins onwards I will support him if we sign him because he plays for wolves the team I support and love that's just my opinion

Sorry Matt its a massive NO from me. If anyone refuses to wear the poppy on there shirt to remember the people who fought to allow us to live the way we do today then I have no respect for him and would no like him associated with our proud club.

The thing is tho we would have no say on if kj wants him if he wants you've got a back him

As a faithful England fan who has travelled to world cups and games abroad I can't believe the ignorance of some people regarding James Maclean not wearing a poppy. Did you not read his heartfelt open letter to fans at Wigan?
The lad is a catholic from Londonderry and had family at bloody Sunday. Wearing a symbol of respect for British forces would be a slap in the face for his family.
Would you wear a symbol of support for the Argentian Junta if you had family in the Falklands?
If anything you have to respect his character for saying it's not something he feels comfortable doing.
Just stick to football because the lad is a good player.

Tommo believe it or not I am also a catholic from DERRY.

Poppy isn't a symbol of the British forces but the coalition which Irish troops were also a part of.

What the paras did on Bloody Sunday got nowt to do with remembrance Sunday.

Sorry this ain't football related and it's just my opinion. If he come I would find it hard to back him. But will always support the team and manager. If he scored I would cheer but wouldn't change how I felt.

the reason mclean dosent wear a poppy is because it not only symbolises ww1 & 2, but all subsequent conflicts that british forces were involved in, including the troubles.
