Great start, 47 games to go there's a lot of other strong teams tho also. still think we need another top quality cm in case neves gets injured also a striker in case dicko or bolatini get injured. if we're in the top 3 at Xmas, I'm sure we will go up. then we will become the top club in the midlands whilst the sandwell crawl to one side and get relegated. come on me babbies .

06 Aug 2017 22:13:15
I take it you've included the minimum 2 cup games.

06 Aug 2017 22:14:49
Thought we played 46?

07 Aug 2017 07:55:15
His thumbs are too big πŸ‘.

07 Aug 2017 10:35:42
Must be a 48 fixture league on FIFA '18. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.

what we are seeing at wolves is a total transformation from the football blueprint that has held us back for too long. going are the days of impotent inbred systems, inadequate coaching and medical / fitness regimes. i see the banter about strikers and the names mentioned, but the days of the typical english striker are over.

bonatini was seen as a little underwhelming, but rest assured he will be perfect in this new system. likewise any new striker we get will be in the same mould. this is the new super affluent wolves. get ready to have the cobwebs blown away.

06 Aug 2017 16:35:50
I think Bonatini is ace, he was wearing boots in Wolves colours yesterday. He's only 23, not famous for any other clubs, seems classy, I hope he's going to become our star striker.

06 Aug 2017 16:38:04
Here here.

06 Aug 2017 17:19:04
Here here. πŸ‘ŒπŸ»πŸ‘ŒπŸ»πŸ‘ŒπŸ»πŸ‘ŒπŸ»
The one thing I would add is get behind the youngsters even when they haven't done the thing that stars of the past would have done. It's easier to play the game in the stands. Get behind bright he's 19 and he has bags of potential. We should be encouraging and making molineux a great and formidable ground to visit again.

06 Aug 2017 18:00:47
First time poster, agree totally with above posts. There is a different feeling that we have never experienced before.
I saw another thread that we should loan Bright out to get experience, I somewhat disagree, Nuno is obviously seeing something that has deserved a start against a team spending heavily to get themselves back into the promised land, a team tipped by many for promotion and in the fist half especially, we made look fairly ordinary.
This from a team with young Bright involved and showing glimpses of promise that we will only realise if he is blooded from within, not loaned out to some league one outfit, where the quality level is significantly lower.
We have, perhaps with one more striker, an opportunity to introduce our potential and give them sufficient game time and the freedom to express themselves playing with quality players and guided by Nuno.
All in all however, we have to remain grounded, this was only one game, but the future does look Bright, the future wears old gold and black🀘.

06 Aug 2017 18:01:01
Yes Wolves are going to be a cracking side, what a season this is going to be. Good ridence to the football dinasaurs, Lambert was a nice guy but you shouldn't have to pay to watch Lambert, Pullis type teams.

06 Aug 2017 19:35:34
Nuno has done what I've been banging on about for the last 3 years. New management and coaching structure. A new team with quality in key positions with more to follow. In addition, to all that, clearing out all the dross. Nuno is going to be brilliant for Wolves make NO mistake. In time our team will be ticking ove like a Rolls Royce! Just give it a little time! A quality striker is on the way! βš½οΈπŸ‘πŸ˜‰ doing a fantastic job Nuno! πŸ‘πŸ‘.

06 Aug 2017 19:48:48
Yes I agree as the season goes on we will b a force Nuno stating there will b more signings I think the striker they'll b bringing in will b a mendes player don't think it will b British I have a feeling.

06 Aug 2017 21:15:20
Totally agree. potentially top dogs of this division. hope we get uk striker tho. new signings were amazing. as for bright. if he can sort out his end product. then the skys the limit for him. he's so quick and tricky. forever wolves.

06 Aug 2017 22:16:51
Just what iv been told yesterday wolves top target is tiquino soares nuno first choice. If they pull it off big money transfer he will tear it up in championship and then premier too.

07 Aug 2017 12:18:24
Here this loud there are no Brazilian strikers being watched now at all.
Especially one who has stopped scoring and is over 30!
Sam Gallagher is the number 1 target.

07 Aug 2017 13:38:48
Scored 12 in 15 games after signing in January. Seems very unlikely and would be an extraordinary coup if it was pulled off.

07 Aug 2017 14:40:20
here hear. psw.

06 Aug 2017 10:06:17
Wolves signing a striker today i think.

06 Aug 2017 10:12:44
Any names?

06 Aug 2017 11:22:36
Jordan Rhodes name being touted after Β£8m offer for Gallagher turned down. Not sure if this rings true.

06 Aug 2017 11:25:46
Β£8m Gallagher bid rejected.

06 Aug 2017 11:44:50
Yeh I saw Nixon linked us with Rhodes after our 8mil Galagher bid was rejected.

06 Aug 2017 12:01:39
tiquinho and oliveira are our main targets also looking at wellthon of pacos ferriera.

06 Aug 2017 13:00:52
Apparently Nixon has said Gallagher, or if we can't sort that, we'll move onto Rhodes or Gray.

I desperately hope it's Gallagher, imo the others are too old and already made their name and identified with other clubs. We should be trying to get someone Brit, who is 24 or younger and hasn't yet made their name with a different club, who would be domestic enough to stop us being team Mendes, and who could become us.

The choice is obvious. Afobe still hands down the best candidate, if not then Gallagher.

06 Aug 2017 13:19:18
Rhodes only signed for Sheffield start of this season.

06 Aug 2017 13:59:23
Afobe or gray you lot kidding? we got leo, dicko and zyro costa Graham or cav what do we need anymore for? soon as cavs ban is up after Tuesday game, he's back and 5 weeks later costa is back. no room for another striker. get over it and back dicko and leo to get 20 each with cav and costa zyro 15 each.

06 Aug 2017 13:39:39
Bamford?

06 Aug 2017 14:20:41
Ulf shut up about Afobe he has already said he doesn't want to come back, end of.

06 Aug 2017 14:21:38
The Bull train. only 2 of them are out and out strikers? And what if they get injured. what's wrong with having a decent squad in depth. Ultimately giving you a plan B? having strengh in depth gives you an advantage over the rest and let's face it the Championship is one if the most competitive leagues in the world so any such advantage can be crucial come the end of a very l9ng season.

06 Aug 2017 14:41:26
Re Rated RKO pretty much all the strikers seem to say that, that they want to fight for their place in their team, they'd never drop down etc. But if Bournemouth haven't got room for him and he's going to spend most of the season not playing, they'd want to sell and Afobe would probably accept it because he wants to play, he's at a critical age. 24 seems to be when most other strikers hit it big, like Gray. And I'd guess Nuno as coach, getting in with Mendes might be a big attraction. Apparently Mendes asks players where their dream place to play is, then commits to do everything he can to make it happen. But they have to play ball and for other clubs to get there. Afobe might want to play for Arsenal, us and Mendes would be a surer way there than Bournemouth are.

But you may be right and it may be an absolute no. Why I suggested Bamford or Gallagher. If not possible, then out of all the foreign, Oliviera at 25 looks ok. I hope though Bonatini gets his match fitness and becomes our big name striker, at 23 and not already famous, could become us.

06 Aug 2017 15:00:07
Ulf'you really are getting a 'tad tedious with this Afobe spin, give it a rest eh, we have all had a bloody belly full on'it.

06 Aug 2017 15:10:26
And with regards to Bamford suggestion, no thanks. He looks like potential unfulfilled and has hardly been prolific for a few seasons.

06 Aug 2017 15:11:58
Ulf. Well done. I for one am very proud of you. You said bamford instead of "the Bournemouth one! "You see! Change is possible. It's the first sentence I've seen you speak without the word "the Bournemouth one"

06 Aug 2017 15:29:10
:-) I just want this last striker signing to fit as well as possible, because it's likely to have a big impact on the identity of the whole team. It is important, look how much money Man City threw to get gangster type players, like Ballotelli, Tevez etc, to go with their Oasis baad attitude urban gangster brand (they have relationship with and market in New York / urban USA now) . We're not urban gangster we're classy and heroic, our last striker signing should reflect that.

{Ed001's Note - Man City did no such thing. Balotelli was just a promising kid when they signed him. Tevez was all about putting one over on Utd. You are just talking crap now. Clearly nonsense and you have no idea what you are wittering on about.}

06 Aug 2017 15:49:41
Come on Ed your bigger than that, we all know Ulf is here for entertainment value and not his knowledge of footy πŸ˜‚.

06 Aug 2017 16:16:02
Ballotelli was in with the whole Naples thing. You only have to look at the amount of support Man City has achieved compared to other English clubs, in the American cool urban gang culture stuff. See their shirt lots. Man City will have had people earning fortunes advising them on brand, they'll have a vision of what they are and should try and be, that extends throughout the club.

{Ed001's Note - it was nothing to do with that. You are talking nonsense.}

06 Aug 2017 16:21:33
No eds right ulf talks a load of crap.

06 Aug 2017 16:34:06
Should be OAF not Ulf.
Afobe is tiresome now as much as he would add to tactical flexibility.
Soares, Gray or any of the other strikers would be a strong addition. In those games where our good football is broken up by clubs like Cardiff.10 men behind the ball, time wasting tactic and we'll nick a goal from a set piece mentality. remember Sandwell town and qpr went up with that rubbish style (not brand don't want Ulf to get excited) of football.
I just hold reservations over midfield. Can saiss and price do it all season? Maybe Nuno has built a lot of trust and confidence in the camp though. His man management skills are sublime so far. I would still purchase a combative midfielder! UTW.

06 Aug 2017 16:35:58
I think what Ulf is trying to say is when Steve Bull: The Movie is made we should get Benedict Cumberbatch to play him, not Idris Elba. You know, for branding reasons. Elba is a little too urban and Cumberbatch is more glamorous. :)

06 Aug 2017 16:40:30
Adobe is very unlikely to consider the championship.
Afobe in Bournemouth, Ulf's in LaLaLand.
πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.

06 Aug 2017 16:40:32
Gotta say that when I see an Ulf post I just skim straight past it. Boring, tedious and very repetitive. Sorry to say that about what i'm sure is your honest opinion bud. that's my opinion!

06 Aug 2017 16:45:21
They bought Man City because Man U were the footballing Establishment, its identity is based in getting one over on the Establishment, rocking their boat, on being urban counter culture. Big clubs are global brands with particular identities and that's manifest in the type of managers and some of the talisman players they sign and tolerate. Arsenal, Man U, Man City etc.

{Ed001's Note - not true. Perhaps you should stop now before you make a complete fool of yourself. They bought Man City because of its stadium and potential.}

06 Aug 2017 17:09:22
What whole Naples thing? Balotelli was born in Palermo which is on an island separate to mainland Italy, he then moved to the northern part of Italy, nowhere near Naples before moving to England. Maybe, just Maybe, Man City has a big following in New York because Shiekh Mansour owns New York City FC who play in near identical kit to Man City and are even sponsored by the same sponsors. I think your eyes might be playing tricks on you. If you don't believe me just Google New York City FC kit and see how similar they are.

06 Aug 2017 16:58:54
Wolves 4 life, I hear you but I believe that we have the team that should kick every ones ass this season think leo will be a super star and dicko cav and don't forget costa are going to do it this season few more games and no one will fancy playing us let's hope Tuesday get few goals and be ready for hull really don't think we will bring another 20 million player in as ffp if we don't go up will squeeze us tight notice the if we don't go up before people bash my post.

06 Aug 2017 17:23:10
Man City owners also own New York jas.

06 Aug 2017 17:59:30
I don't recall Ulf posting so much before our beloved Wavidsmith departed. Are they one and the same?

06 Aug 2017 18:01:20
I know. That's what I said. Hence the similarities.

06 Aug 2017 18:48:58
I'm beginning to think he is a baggie on a wind up old ulfhednar.

06 Aug 2017 18:55:01
The Bull Train I can't see us bringing in any player over the value of 10m before window closes. I honestly think 1 striker so we have strength in depth will complete the project.

07 Aug 2017 15:03:52
Wavid has rocked up on the mix

Jas, as an insider I can confirm that NYCFC are part of City Football Group along with Melbourne hence the nice email footer they have.

{Ed001's Note - they also have a Chinese team, as the ADUG is part-owned by a Chinese consortium now.}

07 Aug 2017 17:10:12
Why are you telling me? I already know that. You must be confusing me and ULF.

06 Aug 2017 10:00:27
If you can, spend time and watch Neves, on and off the ball, he oozes quality and is the player that makes wolves tick.

Bar injury i predict him to stand out in this league, he is a premiership player in wolf clothing πŸ˜‚.

06 Aug 2017 11:21:07
I am led to believe it is Tiquinho Soares from Porto. Brazilian striker. Only what I've been told by source within the club.

06 Aug 2017 11:38:37
He'll make Costa an even better player IMO. Finding him early so he has 1v1 instead of players doubling up on him.
