after the cardiff game stalle must see how bad our defence is and know changes are a must.hope he is now looking at free agents and posible loans and we will have 2 new full backs for our next game.both zubar and ward are not good enough and should be let out on loan and hopefully sold next transfer window.
25 million plus and we are pissing about looking for players on a free what planet is morgan on now after english coach {Ed011's Note - I've only seen it said that we're after an English STYLE coach.
When Man Utd have Smalling and Jones back I wonder if we will look at Johnny Evans again? Season long loan.
All Morgan wants is the cash!
As ive said in a previous post,, bring jody craddock back!! dont matter how old he is hed p.i.s.s this level and reckon hed form a good partnership with johnson!!
Morgan will want the best for the club as it will make him money. Simple business really - who would you rather have as Chairman? A certain SJH shafted us good and proper, Morgan is doing a great job. {Ed011's Note - Sir Jack will always be a Wolves legend, he saved us when we could've gone under I disagree that he shafted us, he sold us for a tenner with the promise the new owner spent a small fortune on us and has felt so much pain from his own family for doing so, as his Wolves family we owe him the respect not to insult him.
100% Ed!! Some people have short memories!! Paul Tamworth
Sir jack rite or wrong showed more passion for wolves then morgan and born here
Thats a albion fan there
Sir Jack did many good things for the club but he did let us down badly when we finally got promotion. He gave Dave Jones a pathetic amount of money to buy players. If only Jones had been given a similar amount to that given to Mick.
Discgusted with this poster saying sjh shafted us it's got to be a Baggie playing on his spectrum 64k.
The only thing he done wrong was sell the club to Morgan but he truly thought it was the right decision
And Well said ed
Sorry Ed you are wrong-he shafted us, bleated long and hard about getting to the promised land-then did nothing when we got there.
Ed top comment as always. A real wolves fan and one of the only few on here that know what there talkin about.
Sir Jack shafted us? He put 50million of his own money into the club n never had a penny back.. What a stupid comment!
Never a penny SJH went for the millions instead he put money in the club but took hell of a lot more out with the play off final money and the parachute payment. He may of saved us but never really showed the club and fans the love he said he had for the wolves, clever man and played it well
^^^^
How true is this speculation?
And Morgan hasnt let us down!
At least Sir Jack had passion, Morgan is a business man looking to make money and basically thats what he is doing with Wolves. When he sells, he will make a healthy profit on his outlay.
Neither have SJH or Morgan put there own money into the club. They will stand as guarantors to loans taken by the club - pledging the debts to be re-paid.
They dont put a penny of there own money into.....the club will rely upon good investments, return on transfer fees, sponsorship, monies from Sky, FA contributions and gate receipts to repay any loans and to grow.
Thats the reality of it and dont think for one minute that they would be willing to hand over money to buy players out of the goodness of there heart. (That doesnt happen anywhere - regardless of what the papers say!)
To the person who said SJH shafted us....get real. The man has old gold and black blood running through his veins and did more for my club than anyone. God bless you Sir Jack. The real Wolves family love you.
Newark Wolf.
Paul ince assistant manager?
I'd ignore this baggie fan claiming SJH shafted us. He obviously has no idea what he is on about.
Don't rise up to him.
Sir Jack did love the Wolves and did want us to be in the premier league but he naturally wanted the big money that the Premier league brings. I think the problem was managers like Taylor and Mcgee wasted millions of his money on players that weren't worth it and could just about control a ball. Remenber the golden tit comment? We were a laughing stock in that respect. This to me is the reason he got cold feet in terms of major investment in the Premier league, he wasted alot of his own money and lets not forget he wasn't worth billions only millions why should he bankrupt himself? It should still be a business no matter how wealthy he is or was. We should all be grateful he saved us.
Everybody has opinions but the comments criticising Sir Jack's generosity to our club are shameful and baseless. In the history of professional football has anybody else ever given away a football club on the condition that the new owner invests £30m in the club.Owners pocket the money for themselves, but not Sir Jack.
Sir Jack Haywood Legend enough said. Wanderers till I die
Ed you are wrong abour sir Jack he did not save the club. By the time sir jack bought the club in 92 we were in the same league as now and commercially viable although in a dilapidated stadium. In th clubs hour of need the gallagher brothers bought us in 1986 so sir jack didn't save us from anything. Sir jack invested and then took his money back out. The unquestionable act of passing the club for free in return for £30 million investement means he will and should go down in molineux folk law.
A bit much to say Sir Jack didn't invest when we got promoted. He might be rich but that doesn't mean he should throw money at WW, probably with no return (few footy clubs actually make money). Some people don't seem to understand this.
I have to agree with th post above.. it wasnt jack that saved the club, and he DID take his money back out the club, it was the gallaghers who saved our club.... and if you think haywood did it for the love of wolves get real
If memory serves, Sir Jack had to be persuaded to take on Wolves, him being our local millionaire expat and al that. The previous owners had no other buyer lined up.
The Gallaghers and the Council saved the Wolves when we were at the biggest risj of going bump - not Sir Jack. Sir Jack however put in the investment we sorely needed to update the ground in line with the Taylor report.
When we got promoted with Jones Sir Jack had lost faith in him because we didn['t get over the finishing line the season before and didn't give him the investment we sorely needed.
