I agree if they offer 6 mil id snap it up of them, yes well miss his work rate but hes a foward who is ment to be scoring and hes not so id snap the 6 mil up and buy someone whos scoring goals for less than tht!
also agree with you about siggy taking over not sure about griffis or cassidy not seen them play but heard good things so why not give them a chance

I would be amazed if any club paid 6 million pound for a striker who has not scored many goals over the last few seasons.
Got to agree abt Doyle. Fair play to the bloke. He works his socks off n gives 100% every game. But he just doesn't score enough goals.. Goals win games.. If somebody was stupid enough to offer 6 million for him i'd snap there hand off!.. Sorry but there's no room for sentiment here. Time to move on.
For his work rate is worth 6mil and it may be the players around him not supplying him well enough..

Doyle hasn't got an agent? Wht a loada rubbish! Course he's got an agent. They have to. Most footballers have only got a couple of brain cells. They have to have one. Somebody's gota do there thinking for them. Lol.
Footballers having hardly any brains is a stereotype. I have seen Doyle in interviews and he sounds intelligent. He also knows what side his bread is buttered and wont leave wolves for reading.
I remember reading once that he had no official agent as he used his dad to oversee his deals. Maybe that is still the case.

has anyone else read the post made on the wolves websiet about the january transfer window and injuries its called "making plans"
i cant get my head around this post part of it when i read it makes me think weve got players lined up to buy but then carrying on reading it makes out like when are players are back from injury well be fine ?
just want to see everyone elses views on this and how they take it?
perosnally even with injuries coming back i still think we need to spend some around 10-15 again brining in 3-4 players
cuz are injuries have been out that long especially jamie o hara we dont know what shaope theyll be in when they come back

I agree with you about O'hara. Where is he going to get the practice games now that the U21's won't be playing until the New Year.
I dont think we have that kind of money to spend on players if you take in to account how much we are losing from last year.
We shud have some tucked away from the sale of the 3 players and the parachute payments
obviously we need to be sensible and not spend it all but we spent aroun 10 at the start and i think we shud try and do the same again in jan, tht still leaves us with 10 alone from the sale of jarvis fletch n kightly?
You have to take agent fees and signing bonuses away from that total i dint think we ended up with 25m in the end. {Ed001's Note - also paying off the contracts of players that left, you don't get the full amount from any sale.}

Liam McAlinden could be following his old boss to Ipswich, the soon to be out of contract striker has also been linked to several other clubs that are closely keeping an eye on his contract situation. (from a good source of info:)
A mate of mine knows his cousin and he reckons three prem clubs are interested in him.
It wouldn't bloody surprise me!! how come this lad isn't already signed up long term? I read on the Mix that he has finished top goal scorer in the league and have heard nothing but praise and excitement about him surley this has to be a mistake.
To lose this guy would be disaster

The under 21s league is of a much lower standard. I have been to a couple of their games this year (everyone should go) and there are some really great prospects in the wolves line up, however the games are played at a totally different pace. I still reckon we should get McAlinden a new contract asap, but I reckon he is still a little way from the starting line up.
There were a load of scouts at bucks Head tuther night and yet again he scored the winner, he looks quality to me I'm not at all surprised he's being eyed up.
Yeah we've already had Everton fans come on this board asking abt him b4.. So Everton must be keeping tabs on him.

I heard a coulple of the big boys were interested in him and if thats true how are we ever going to hang on to him espeicaly with no contract.
He may be a little way off the 1st team line up but thats not going stop someone poaching him, he just seems like he needs to fill out a bit which every kid does at a different pace, I must admit I'v never seen him play but I know a bloke who has and he reckons he's a cut above anyone else in that age group. He really should be on a long term contract at this stage whats Moxey playing at.
