Mick McCarthy handed £3m war-chest

Wolves are apparently leading the race to sign Arsenal's Emmanuel Frimpong on loan in January.

Despite the solid form of Karl Henry, McCarthy is keen to sign a defensive midfielder and is eyeing Wigan enforcer Mohamed Diame, who is out of contract next summer.

He also wanted to have a look at Real Madrid's out-of-favour anchorman Lassana Diarra. But the 26-year-old former Chelsea, Arsenal and Portsmouth player wanted too much money to come on trial.

Not much of a war chest is it ? the loan deals may come through though. Can't see Leeds parting with Mc Cormack with them pushing for promotion to the premier league.
Gibo.

It could be a war chest if it was all in pennys and our plan was to throw them at the enemy. Otherwise no it really isn't. Diarra would be immense but couldn't see him coming to us, not sure if I want Diame so it looks like it all comes down to the loan signings.

Apparently, the January watches is a fair amount more than 3mil,Onohua would be great addition,as would Diarra, another out and out strikers would be good as back up/competition for Fletcher,we really need Doyle back on form,he's invaluable to the team when on song'Foley on the way back, great news,Hoping Johnsons dip in form is only a short term blip as he did look solid when he arrived, perhaps the arm band should stay with Ward or go to Hennessey for a while?

It should go to hennessey or hunt if u ask me and 3mil warchest wtf who can we buy for 3m tht will make a difference?

I'd be happy for the armband to go to Ward (showed he could do on Saturday/ O'Hara (for his presence in the midfield)/ Hennessey (because he's a quality player although don't know if he's commanding enough to control the whole team from goal.)

Dont believe what the papers say we never have a set amount to spend and it wasnt so long ago when morgan said we could still get a marque signing and anyway morgan always says if the right player comes along then you never now

Wolves will make a move for Craig Gardner in January as he has been described as homesick and unsettled at Sunderland and wants to be closer to his hometown in Birmingham, Wolves are also looking to sign Sebastian Bassong and Ross McCormack in January.

Wolves had a loan move for Gardner turned down.So they will outright buy him ?

Bassong would be a good signing.Cant see the Gardner deal happening as he only recently went to Sunderland.
Gibo.
PS great result yesterday.

I cant c the gardener thing happening now as martin o'neil is there now ( his ex manager) :(
