In Kenny we now must trust.
At the start of the season would you be happy with where we are now.
From the realist we have punched well above our weight.
So want this man to succeed.
Great morales and a love for the club wonder how he felt yesterday.
?????
Bet he wants it more than any of us.
In Kenny we trust.

I don't know anyone else has heard this rumour but apparently kj has been working up 2 transfer list one if we're in the prem and one for if we're still in the championship and is expected to hand them In to Moxley and Morgan next month I don't know how true it's bit if it is what do u make of this?

The realist, couldn't agree more, I've said all season and still stand by it 12-10 or higher is what we realistically should of aimed for, a lot of this squad are new to this division and if not they'd played a very small part previously. We have a very good collection of young players, and we need to keep faith in them and the people in charge of developing them e.g KJ SS, i'm really looking forward to the future of our club with our emphasis on youth. We should (if done correctly) always make a profit on these players if they don't quite make it for us because of how cheap we can get them. Look at Mings of Ipswich, cost around 16k and his value now is looking more 5m+ (Arsenal were rumoured to be interested and looking to pay 10m+) if we carry on the way we are going, we will build a very good squad and also make healthy profit on player sales

That's what I think too, Stuu. It's a sustainable business model which doesn't mean risking large amounts of money on a small number of players. Players who might turn out to be a waste (no names mentioned). Much better to sell a youngster on £1k/week to a team willing to pay £2k/week than not even being able to give away a player on over £20k/wk.

StuuCirbett aka Steve Morgan?

We all agree that investing in the future and signing young players is good.

But there is nothing wrong with spending money NOW on good young players. We have already missed on on Wilson, Maguire, Murphy(Leeds) to name a few all because we wouldn't compete and offer that little more in wages to secure that extra class.

And I fully expected us to compete for the play offs at begging of the season as we had the confidence and the quality of football TOO COMPETE.

The problem with spending money NOW is that FFP needs to be carefully planned, We have had a lot of wages on our bill the last 2 years, there we're rumours we were allowed to spend around 3million this year any more we'd have been breaching the FFP rules, 1m was apparently spent on Saville (bad business), and 2m on Afobe, therefore we spend anymore money we end up like Nottm Forest and Blackburn and unable to bring any players in due to having a transfer embargo

Good comments dot cotton, surprised we didn't sign players like wilson, Murphy and maguire instead of savile, rowe, Clarke and whoever got sagbo from hull should be sacked signings like these will not improve our side on were we want to be

06 Feb 2015 15:43:54
Wilson cost 3.5m and as I said we we're only allowed 3m, Murphy chose Leeds over us as he didn't want to play League 1 again if he was to mvoe it was to a higher division, Maguire chose Hull in Europa League over Championship Wolves. All of those transfers were out of our hands. Agree Saville Rowe and Clarke bad signings but, Saville is young still Rowe been unlucky with injuries and Clarke scored goals for fun with Coventry. You can see why they signed them but looking at it now it hasn't worked out great. IMO Sagbo and Clarke are the only bad signings KJ has made, Clarke not as much because of his record for Coventry in the 1st half of the season

Completely agree StuuCorbett I was going to post pretty much the same thing. All I would add is Bournemouth have major financial backing that would have blown us out of the water in a bidding war plus they had just received around 8m sell on clause from Lallana sale. Overall I am pleased with our position, yes I did have a feeling we could possibly mount a promotion/play off challenge but would still be happy with a top ten finish. We still have to play 5 teams above us so six pointers are there to gain ground.

07 Feb 2015 12:31:48
Promotion challenge south banker I would hope so, the division is nothing special anyway 2 points off play offs and if we had spent some money on some decent players which I keep saying a club like wolves should instead of those players mentioned we sighned, even Brentford have got there act together and fair play to them they deserve it considering we had more time to get our act together before brentford, what I don't want to see is signings like sagbo from hull city which in my opinion must have been a desperate signing and signings like Seville who was loaned out what's that all about, million pound wasted

09 Feb 2015 13:55:56
Had a look at goals given away again against reading, awful defending, d.bathe gave him to much space 1st goal and didn't get tackle in, McDonald turned is back on player for 2nd goal when player shot and scored, players standing off to much for me not closing down, I now I keep saying it but we Need some creativity urgently to much hit and miss in that department our strikers or striker whoever k.j. plays needs some service badly instead of feeding on scraps

10 Feb 2015 13:26:07
In k.j. we trust because he picks team, just heard from k.j.that he admits we have been playing poorly last 3 or 4 games which is correct there's no hiding from that and that he needs to find right combination because he says these players are good enough, this is the only thing I would disagree with because I think we need 2or 3 quality players to challenge for play offs but if k.j. says they are good enough only time will tell, l also hear moxey keeps saying that they had 2 or 3 bids in for sako and we refused them. so what in my opinion we might as well took money and spent it on players because he will leave anyway, we have to many wide players anyway, we need some central midfield players who can close down and create something the service to our striker or strikers when he plays two is awful, how many shots do we have at there keeper during 90 min. Not many when I have seen we play, and goals win football matches that's a fact
