I hate to say it but it's time for Kenny to leave. not just because of tonight but over all this season. The squad has the potential to hammer this league. Managed by the right person. Le Fondre guided reading to the Premier League. Holt guided Norwich, Afobe tore it up for us Last season! Henry, a class winner at his best like this season, Byrne, the potential is there, McDonald, one of if not the best midfielder in the championship.

Iorfa, Williamson, golbourne, good defenders! This squad with a new manager with an attacking mind will destroy this League, we need a Eddie Howe/Alex Neil type of manager, not sure of sherwood tbh, Alex Neil came from Scotland, have a look there maybe, i'd love Roberto Di Matteo but u highly doubt we'll pay his wages, unless we are bought by a wealthy owner!

Agree with you for the vast majority of your comment. Don't think personally that McDonald holds a candle to the league's best midfielders - guys like Bradley Johnson, Grant Leadbitter, Matt Phillips, etc. Also Grant Holt was a much younger striker with an awful lot more confidence back then.

Guys like Afobe, Le Fondre and especially Iorfa have enormous potential. Surprised to see any of them at Molineux this time next year in our current state.

Personally I too believe it's time for Kenny to leave - with a very heavy heart. I just feel tactically, from his starting XI's, to head-scratching substitutions and poor, mediocre results. We have not expanded on last season - we're half the team we were last year - and that's being kind.

The question is - who do we bring in? Guys like Capello and Rodgers are way out of our aim. Unless a new owner were to suddenly arrive with big ambitions. Please God don't let it be someone like Lambert or McLeish. You see, sometimes it really is the better the devil you know. One thing is for absolute certain though - we haven't a hope of going up now. Not under Jackett. No chance whatsoever. At this stage we're staring down the table - and based on last season that's a disgrace. Obvious key problems - reinforcement at Centre-Back and most irritatingly a left midfielder.

I fully agree with your opinion that we need a young, hungry manager. Someone like Dean Smith or Jimmy Floyd Hasslebaink look perfect. But they've no Championship experience. It's a pity Gus Poyet is off in Greece - he'd have been a perfect candidate.

One name I would throw out there is Vincenzo Montella. Last with Fiorentina, he came 4th in Seria A two years running - to be fair with a team far worse than those around them.

Morning All.
I am now a fully paid up member of the Jackett has to go club. And to be honest he has to go TODAY.
Lots of names being banded about, but I think that you are all missing the obvious candidate. NIGEL PEARSON. Got promotion experience at this level and kept Leicester in the Premier, all be it with a 'great escape'. But let's be honest, we would ALL take that right now.
I also agree at looking down the Leagues, Jimmy Hasselbaink is an obvious contender and what about Paul Cook at Portsmouth. A former player.
And please everyone, let's remember where we are at, if KJ were to go, we are NOT going to attract a Rodgers or a Di Matteo. We have to get real. We will be shopping in the basics section of Sainsburys now, not Waitrose or M+S anymore i'm afraid.

Any comments?

When we were in league 1 we got jackett in because he had been there and done it. If we do get rid of him now the best option has to be Pearson. I would be shocked to see him go, due to that fact that moxey is the one in charge now. He will back jackett all the way because he was the one who appointed him.

04 Nov 2015 08:36:56
He should be sacked but will he? Hopefully Morgan will demand he's sacked as the lower we sink the less he will get for the club!

04 Nov 2015 12:14:06
No way Pearson ok he might be half decent at stopping rot in teams but so was warnock and don't want him either only hope should kj depart is young hungry guy from lower leagues poss a ex player like cook or curl don't see jimmy h leave yet still making his mark or we go foreign poss lge 1 France or lower lge Italy won't be German they tend stay loyal oh hang on think a Spanish guy at some London club poss be coming available 👍😄only take 30m convince him.

04 Nov 2015 17:53:39
I don't see why Jackett should be sacked. We're going through a rocky spell but let's give him the time he's earned to get us back on track. We can't sack a manager every time we go through a bad spell. We have had two good seasons with him in charge.

Who's the Spanish guy?

04 Nov 2015 18:25:41
Don't think it's a case of a rocky spell. It's his tactics, substitutions and motivational skills I'm doubting. We have a very good side, missing a couple of players but who isn't? The squad we have should be pushing for play off if not comfortably being in the play offs. We are too inconsistent, which IMO is down to a manager who cannot motivate the squad.
Martinez/Ikeme - 2 of the better keepers in the league if not the 2 best?
Iorfa/Doherty - again 2 of the better right backs.
Batth/Williamson/Hause - better than average CB's for this division
Golbourne - one of the better left back in the division
Macca/Price - one of the best partnerships in the division.
Henry/Ojo/Byrne/Wallace - average at this level BUT pacey so can be more effective if used correctly
Afobe/Lefondre - 2 of the best finishers in the country, give them a chance especially at this level they will finish it.
I like Jackett but as Mick did, I think he's taken us as far as he can and I think it's time for a change.
Who to replace him? I don't know but Moxey+Thelwell get paid a lot more than I do to get these decisions correct!
IMO 3 candidates
1. Karl Robinson
2. Dean Smith
3. Brendan Rodgers (unrealistic, but worth a punt, worst he can say is No)

04 Nov 2015 21:04:20
Mourinho is Portuguese. If you fancy a foreign manager there's a guy called stale whos supposed to be good, has experience of the champions league apparently. Jackett does deserve time but if we have another summer transfer window, like the last one, and we are in the same position this time next year, he has to go. We then need a manager, like when we hired jackett, who has a proven record of promotion from the championship.

05 Nov 2015 22:16:43
Tom Tit, firstly great name! Secondly I would HATE it if we brought in Pearson. His attitude is terrible, his dictative and autocratic style makes far more enemies than fans. That's before you look at his relation with the media, opposing players (and their throats! ) or even his own supporters. Absolutely toxic. Just look at Leicester since they cleared out the poison that is Pearson; they've soared under a positive influence.

06 Nov 2015 10:26:11
Come on guys let's be a little realistic here.

What manager in there right mind would accept a position at a club up for sale?

The new owners will no doubt want there own man.

So it looks like we're stuck with Jackett for the time being.

I feel he has lost his way and confidence in his phelosophy, come on Kenny get us back to playing out from the back.

Oh and get Price back in the team.

06 Nov 2015 18:21:22
Villa are for sale and just sacked their manager and got another manager in quickly. I don't think it matters whether we are up for sale or not. Nervous for tomorrow, but still feel this is a winnable game if the right team is picked!
Martinez
Iorfa Williamson Batth Golbourne
Price McDonald
Henry Edwards Byrne
Afobe
And bring Ojo on about the 65th minute!

06 Nov 2015 20:25:56
I would have Edwards in the left, Afobe in behind Holt.

Also can't compare us to Villa as they are Prem which comes with money, so a new manager knows he will get to get his own players in during transfer window.

Where as we will be lucky to keep hold of our best players come Jan.

07 Nov 2015 11:14:44
Edwards on the left? He's so ineffective in that position and causes the team more problems, if you don't play Edwards as a number 10 he shouldn't play at all.

As for comparing us to Villa, there are plenty of clubs that are for sale and employ new managers, and managers who would love to manage a club with Wolves history and set up. Don't think the club for sale makes much difference IMO.

I like Jackett, and would prefer it if he left the rather than us sacking him, I said the same about Mick.
If wouldn't mind us giving Jimmy Floyd Hasslebaink a go, doing really well at Burton, well known and he was on Talk Sport last night, and I just like the way he spoke about football.

03 Nov 2015 21:58:09
I want to apologise for callin JACKETT a mediocre Championship manager! He isn't that good! Anyone who doesn't understand where I'm comin from look at his tactics and substitutions tonight! End of talk on him! U want a positive? Hopefully we're a game closer to a new owner and definitely a new manager!

04 Nov 2015 11:04:47
I absolutely agree Paul, as most know I was a big defender of Jackett but I can not defend him anymore he has lost the plot and tonight proved that with his stupid subs, he needs to go sooner rather than later.

04 Nov 2015 20:11:29
Morgan jumped ship to teach the fans a lesson, and he will.
Whose going to sack Jackett.
Morgan no way
CEO moxey Morgan's puppet no way
Morgan's mafia board no way.
Is moxeys bonus going to be paid on league position or on profitability?
Who's payin moxey?
Morgan jumped ship to teach the fans a lesson and he will.

04 Nov 2015 20:20:06
Well Paul you have said it all along about K. J. and I for one have agreed with you every time we look to push on we keep going back to square one, he got is substitutes last night all wrong, and first half what a waste of corners we had, we must of had 6 to there 1 and done absolutely nothing with every one of them and never troubled there goalkeeper, to bring Holt on and not have 2 wingers to cross the ball for height and strength was a mistake, taking Byrne off and not changing with straight replacement in oucho pardon the spelling was a terrible substitution, Bristol have been struggling and what was that all about bringing Doherty on for Coady
Rubbish absolute rubbish can't stand no more he as to go let's get somebody in who does not tinker with the side can't stand no more he as lost the plot .
Watching and listening to wolves as become boring never thought I would say that but the truth as to be told he looks out of is depth.

05 Nov 2015 09:42:18
Yeh your right bigwolf, going to the last few games has seemingly become a chore and normally I'm well up for it, il get there sat about 12 go hogs head, billy Wright royal London and Cuban exchange, get to the ground about 2.50 put my bet on then take my seat, hopefully see us get a win. Get back home about 6 then take my youngest to a bonfire and fireworks display. Really hope we see some fireworks at the game and I don't have to wait till the evenin to see them!

03 Nov 2015 21:37:03
