Holloway in from 16's to 9's with Hills. Gonna get stuck into that to pay for the summer holiday.

I'd pay for your hols myself my friend as long as it isn't him, come on Steve show some real ambition!

Ambition ? that is ambition, who are you expecting ? the special one with pep as his assistant ? me personally would be over the moon with holloway ! the man knows how to compete and like to play attacking football ! look what he did with blackpool with there start of the prem before lacking quality in the end, with a big club like wolves he could work wonders for us, at the very least entertain us......... in the words of russel crowe "ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED !!?"

So you don't fancy Holloway. So who do you fancy and why.
I have stated before that Olly's teams play a good winning brand of football that is exciting to watch. He has over achieved with Blackpool for seasons and needs a platform to realise his ambition.

There are people on this site that no matter what WWFC do they will never be happy.I would love either CH or IH to become our next manager.IFCH goes to the s**t IH is our man , not Curbs or Gus Poyet.

Agree, but in the order of IH first, if not CH. Not a manager who is living off playing for big club or been out of the game for a while.
I say again if you look at most of the best managers in England they were average players. Fergie, Wenger, Moyes and now we see Rodgers, Lambert, and Adkins, Mcdermott coming through along with the 2 mentioned at the beginning of the post.

You're never going to get 100% backing for anyone so some people will enjoy slagging off the choice and questioning ambition. CH or IH would do for me - let's just get one or other in, back them and watch some proper attacking football next season.

I 100% agree , great players do not make great managers.

Clarke back to being fave again, followed by Reid, Poyet and Ferguson (D).

Holloway 8 at Paddy. Connor out at 16.

These odds change so quickly as we saw 2 months ago. All rumour driven and in the interest of bookies to shift lots at low odds.

Holloway may get us promoted but hasn't got enough in his locker to kick us on that and not being able to defend will lead us back to square one. Ambition is what quality of player can be brought in, can we develop our youth and current players to be better standard. How many prem jobs has he been linked with? Curbs has best CV followed by houghton

The real winners on speculation are the bookmakers.Lets just bide our time.

He may not have been linked with prem jobs yet but neither had Lambert and Rodgers and I bet there are 4 or 5 teams that would take them now. It's about being given a chance.
Watched Blackpool tonight and really enjoyed what they do. The manager is getting average players performing and believing that they are good enough.

That's all he would bring to wolves 11 stearmans exceeding their ability like him and getting found out when we need them most. Look at his record more carefully note his failures. Glad were all passionate about our near future see you at mol whoever we get!

The closet prospect to Lambert n Rodgers would be Mackay he graduated with Rodgers so he would be worth a punt an exciting prospect not marked with failure and hungry to achieve what his peers have done so already.

My hope would be he is given a budget to get better than average players and again make them perform even better in a sort of Martin O'Neil fashion.
Anyway, all sensible options and opinions have been worth reading. Lets hope for the good of the club those that make the decisions make a good one.

We have all got our thoughts who its gonna be the suspense is killing me do you think a new man will be in this time next year was gonna put l o l but cant its too serious for that !

Peter Reid to be appointed director of football at wolves with Holloway as manager/poyet if Blackpool go up I have from strong source

We need an ex pro to do a similar job to what Dan Ashworth does for the baggies. Think it could be a good thing. I'd prefer Poyet to be head coach rather than Ian Holloway.

Heard pretty much the same

Phew Reid/holloway that doesn't sound like a match made in heaven does it?

With his links to the club and recent success why not Grahan Turner as Director Of Football.

Doubt if he would leave Shrewsbury. Just got promoted.

Taylor was asked the question, and although he still feels links to the club and has unfinished business, he's not up for it right now.....

Turner - how long ago was he at Wolves? Didn't we get him from Shrewsbury then too?

Reid/Holloway seems a bit of overkill. Not sure why we need both although an experienced ex-footballer on the board might be good, like Bobby Charlton at ManU.

I know it was a while ago that Turner was here but he did have his share of success with us and without spending big money. I dont think he spent a great deal at Shrewsbury either. Its his knowledge and contacts inside the gamethat will count for more in a D.O.F job. Ideally i would prefer some one like Ray Wilkins who still holds alot of respect within the game and could have the sway to pull in the better signings. From him i think the manager should be some one of the Zola, Poyet type mould.

Any updates ed? {Ed001's Note - on the manager front? Nothing new mate, play offs haven't finished yet though....}

Is it most likely to be a manager involve in the play offs then?

Heard anything else about the dog idea? {Ed001's Note - yes and no, though I am assuming you meant DoF, or else I have no idea what dog you are referring to!}

Haha yes did mean DoF (spellcheck!) {Ed001's Note - I am glad to hear it, I was a little worried what a 'dog idea' could be.}

Quite appropriate really as some of the ideas have been barkin!

Any idea who weve got in mind for DoF? And does that mean well be looking at a 'less experienced' 'younger' manager with an older head as DoF? Cheers ed! {Ed001's Note - I don't know who is in mind for DoF, I would expect it to be an older head though.}
