I have to say i though nouble looked fairly decent today. looked sharp big and strong. new signings looked good. sig did look a little lost at times but also did show some quality in him (didnt see anything massively wrong with what should of been his goal) the new defender looked comfortable and i think will work well with johnson. Forde looked a lot better than recent games but with the look of Boukari, Peszko and Sako i carnet see him getting a game

Thought Siggs body language was very poor

Davis was awful! but Sako looked unreal and doumbia what a find !

1st half Davis was poor 2nd half he was much better well playing with jonsson don't help

Jonsson is rubbish!

Funny just watched the game on sky and my dad was all doom and gloom before kick off and shocked by team selection.

I told him not to worry and tried to explain some of the new team to him, and why certain players were being signed, I also feel certain players were picked just as final test to see if they will make the grade.

By the end of the game he was grinning like a cheshire cat, and kept going on about how well we were playing the ball around, how we have got some skillfull quick players etc etc.

OK it was only the Cobblers but we were only ourselves fielding a weakened team.

I slated MM after the Palace game when Warnock was in charge and we were beaten in the cup 3 seasons ago and stated ever since MM wasn't the man, huff and puff football at best.

The new players looked good especially Boukari and Sako - what just as pleasing was how players like Elekobi and Jonnson got better as the game went on and linked with the new guys.

The futures bright, the future Stale.

Boukari looks good although he runs like zubar Davis is shocking

Why slate Davis!!! the lad can only get better and playing with new lads and benefitting from the new coaching will only help him improve.

Just my opinion but i thought davis was great but don't really know your observation skills. {Ed011's Note - I thought he looked a bit weak in the first half, got caught on the ball a few times but I was glad Solbakken didn't take him off because he really got better as the game went on, started to look more confident and played much better towards the end. Maybe the players around him changing helped when there was Sako, Doumbia and Peszko also in midfield he shone more too.

Davis made alot of miss passes like he always does ,
Why are you trying to paper over it ,if player is no good well he is no good and that is that.
jeez stop making players sound better than what they are or we will never go up.

Davis had a much better 2nd half (didn't the whole team), but is still a work in progress

You can tell when a player is going to make it and davis is not going to make it nor is Forde .they might be ok for league 1 or 2 but beyond that NO

I think Davis has potential. The lads confidence took a hammering after the Derby game so he was bound to be a bit nervous going in to this - hence the few mis placed passes. I thought once he got into it he looked good.

Davies has potential, the guy who needs to see the door is Jonnson, don't think he'd even have made the Northampton team!

The guy who reaally needs to be shown the door is useless ward {Ed011's Note - I'd rather have Ward then Jonsson to be honest. Ward he's a good squad player.

Wolves play Chelsea away in 3rd round of league cup.

Yet another fixed draw favouring the greed clientele {Ed011's Note - Or an unlucky selection... surely they'd have drawn MK Dons, Burton, Crawley or Bradford if it really was fixed.

How could you fix the draw?! And there were quite a few all Prem draws. {Ed001's Note - put some balls on a radiator or freeze them etc. It has happened in some draws, not that I am suggesting it did tonight.}

It is a great fixture for the new lads in the team ,,it push them to want it more

Saw the draw live. Don Goodman drew out the aways and apologised afterwards for setting us up with Chelsea. One positive is that we can concentrate on the League after that game before the FA cup starts!

Agree but surely it would be daft to sell him without getting a decent replacement as Hennessey's out for a while and I for one dont fancy watching Ward in goal (lets face it he's played in every other position!)

Tbf I think we've done quite well out the transfer market daylight robbery of west ham and Sunderland, trying to ship off some of the rubbish we have I.e johnsonn and brought in 7 new signings with a profit of still 14 million. The new signings are also impressive the young lad sigurdarson is a real physical presence, we all know how quality Doumbia looks and the wingers all look like good buys. COYW

Was speaking to coaching badges last Saturday and he told me that his man in the know down South reckons we are going to take Eden Hazard for a season to give him som experience in English football . Hope C.B. Is right . {Ed011's Note - I miss CB and his mystical, mystical ways but unless he's uncovered a stash of unused WWII army grade morphine that he's been slowly helping himself too and turning his marvelous footballing brain to mush I doubt he reckons Hazard would go any where after his breathtaking start to the season.

What about Thorgan hazard? {Ed011's Note - Good point.

First half painful second half we looked good doumbia Pzecko and Sako oozed class. It may be a long time but we are better prepared than ever before.

got absolutely nothing to do with wolves, but how the hell did iniesta win over messi and Ronaldo. in my eyes those two are on another level too him!

Pulled the strings in the Spanish midfield as they won the Euros - again. Messi and Ronaldo still yet to really set an international tournament alight and triumph.

It is not good enough standing idle while a tin pot
club like Blackburn go and sign Jordan Rhodes-
they clearly want a return to the Premiership
straight away-Wolves clearly don't. {Ed011's Note - Seriously?? They paid £8m for him! He'll be quality but buying 1 player for £8m is not how you return to the premier league.

From what i have seen of our signings so far,a couple weeks to gel and there is no reason we cannot compete with any team in this league.why gamble 8m on a player from a lower league who may struggle to settle,find form or get injured?

Blackburn are just stupid with money. How can you say Wolves don't want to return? peszko , siguardson , doumbe , sako just to name a couple of signings all are quality and once the team gels we'll tear the league apart.

With all due respect lads why don't we just worry about our team. Rhodes might turn out to be a good signing or he might not. We are making some decent signings and fortunately at decent prices. We have the manager to thank for that. Time will tell just how good our signings are.

After all the hype I will be annoyed if we don't add another three signings by the close of business.
We need a LB, another CB and striker, we need
players with Championship experience or better,
and we need to get rid of Stearman, Ward, Hunt
and Berra. {Ed011's Note - Doubt we'll get three to be honest. Maybe more in January and more next summer.

Not good enough-we need them now.

Prepare to be annoyed. I think they've done well in the transfer market, robbing Sunderland and West Ham blind did help. Could do with shifting those on at some point tomorrow who won't play this season would be great. Feel sorry for Baath as I think he deserves a chance but I guess SS doesn't agree.

We can still loan three more players can't we? I would imagine once the deadline is passed we will do that

How stupid is this? It's not FIFA 2012 the club is dealing with real people in the real world.
The main aim now has to be to assemble a squad capable of being there or thereabouts at Xmas which we have. In the jan window will be more attractive to better players and we will still have cash to recruit.
The management has vertically signed a new team already is for gods sake give them a chance {Ed011's Note - Well said and good point about January.

I love the Wolves line-up the E&S have put on their website for tonight's game! Milijas is in it!! Absolutely laughable!! One article earlier they are telling us that we have cancelled his contract so they can't say they didn't know!! More shoddy journalism from the E&S!

The article about his contract being cancelled was posted later than the one with the line up!

That was posted before the article about milijas

It wasn't originally! The article about his contract being terminated was the first of the 2. They swapped the order of the articles! I wouldn't have made the post otherwise!

Fans shouldn't expect any signings today.
Two more players to arrive tomorrow.
Milijas, Hammill, Stearman, Hunt and Berra will all be leaving the club, which makes me believe that the new signings will be a Centre Back and a Striker.
Eggert Jonsson may also go out on loan

Are you still living in the past? Not good enough for the prem. If you havent noticed we are in the championship now so stop worrying about not being good enough for prem etc. Keep them for this season and sell on if we get promoted because why would we sell stearman when we dont have a lot of defenders?

Rumours from within Molineux suggest that there will be no more incoming signings this window. Morgan has earmarked some of the cash bought in to pay for Pezsko and Doumbia, as well as the the others already bought in. But this does not mean that there will not be players leaving Wolves. But these will mainly be on loan. Expect Hammill, Elokobi, Batth, Edwards may well all leave on season long loans. While Everton and Reading are both keen on a permanent deal for Ward, although Ward has indeed impressed SS with his qualities moving forward and will resist any temptation to cash in. SS is very aware of the need to strengthen in January and that is the over riding reason no more money will be spent this week.

The over-riding reason we will not spend much more this transfer window,is more likely down to Steve Morgan wanting to earmark a largechunk of the transfer fees received,towards funding stage2 ground redevelopment.Why cannot the club be more open with the fans on their intentions.

We have not spent 7 million so far 20million plus in {Ed011's Note - £2.4m BBS, £2.7m Margreitter, £3.5m or there abouts for Sako, £3m for Boukari. That's £9m straight away - £5m put aside for making Tongo Doumbia a permanent signing. About £2m on making Peszko permanent. That's £15m+ worth of players and Nouble on a free. Considering we've been relegated we had to expect to lose some of our best players and we were never going to risk spending ourselves into danger like Blackburn in regards to wages too.

Agree Ed. We have spent a lot this window, a lot more than a Championship club should expect anyway. Combine your £15m+ with the -14m and -10m for Fletcher and JArvis and we have a -9m spend this window. So a £9m profit. Which is a lot more reinvested than I expected anyway!

All these comments including the one's from ED are totally contadictory to what was being said about 24 hours ago, especially after the last signing. Stolbakken himself was quoted as saying he expected more signings to come in-stop keep changing opinion at a whim- and where is the supposed marquee signing? {Ed011's Note - It's just more recently he's spoken as though there is a chance we aren't going to make any more transfers, it's probably just incase we don't rather than saying we won't.

The following is in the E&S today:
"Wolves aren’t close to further signings after the £3m-plus arrival of St Etienne midfielder Bakary Sako yesterday made it seven new players this summer.

“We’re not close on anything,” Solbakken said, denying any bids were lodged for targets."

And in the same edition , in another article it say's he expects more activity-especially looking at a central midfielder due to Henry's injury!

Agreed Ed. We can worry about strengthening the side when we're promoted. Don't fans always say "Morgan should spend in the premier"? Same applies the other way - money has to be released to cope with lower revenues.

Tbh im happy we've spent 9 million then saved money for peszko and doumbia cuz i was expecting solbakken to get about 4-5 million and no money from the outgoings. so im happy wiv wat we've spent although we cud do wiv a LB
