King Kenny JACKETT offered new 5yr rollin contract! 1 win in the last 8, and 5 home victories this season I'd say very well deserved. πŸ‘.

29 Feb 2016 10:36:29
Paul, very funny, very funny.

29 Feb 2016 11:13:47
With all the bull lately I thought I'd join in ) just hope it doesn't comeback to bite me )

29 Feb 2016 13:52:47
leave the country if it does as we will coming looking for you! lol.

29 Feb 2016 14:32:41
Give him another 5 months and il start supporting the baggies! Lol.

29 Feb 2016 17:05:18
Paul do you have a good word to say about anyone? You've picked out his poor stats instead of his good one. 2 years ago we'd have all loved to be in the position we're in at the minute. I know it's not great but it's not poor! We have got our best players injured and next season we'll have a decent side out again and we can be pushing for promotion. With JACKETT.

29 Feb 2016 17:33:27
Disagreer JACKETT won't be here next season and if he is we will not get promotion! The guy is a mediocre mid table championship manager! Safe pair of hands but lacks ambition! So disagreer I disagree with u.

29 Feb 2016 17:35:56
I also wonder why he has to put Jackett in capital letters every time.

29 Feb 2016 18:05:50
Last season Wolves under Jackett was only one goal away from getting into the play offs. Hopefully Graham and Dicko will recover and get back to the standard they have set themselves. Let's get this season out of the way. I'm prepared to back Jackett to get us into the top six next season.

29 Feb 2016 19:02:35
JACKETT comes up like that on my predictive texts so I can't be bothered altering it, it makes it easier for happy clapping sheep to spot.

29 Feb 2016 19:05:54
Paul, Brendan Rodgers lost Gerrard and Suarez, the team crumbled.
To lose Sako and Dicko in the blink of an eye.
Add to that Stearman Afobe then Graham then Edwards then Zyro.
Look he hasn't covered himself with glory, and even I gave up, but in hindsight he been dealt a cruel cruel hand.

29 Feb 2016 19:27:09
Can't agree, I'm not going over it again, round pegs square holes, tactically inept, team selection substitutions, not bein able to react durin a game to alter play. One win on Saturday doesn't alter my opinion.

29 Feb 2016 20:35:54
Thanks to The Realist and Clive Wolves for injecting some sense and balance into the proceedings. Seven more points should see us safe. I agree that next season, barring another cruel bout of injuries, should see us with a side capable of challenging for the play-offs at least, regardless of who is the manager.

29 Feb 2016 20:39:18
I agree with Paul Tam he started the new era within Swansea and only went so far then just didn't get any support from Milwall. He's had the money here and his highest finish in this league was last year with all his clubs which says it all. We need a proven manager from this league and the only one is Pearson for me. Could be worse we could be Leeds!

29 Feb 2016 20:43:06
Yeh nice to get the points sat, and I guess abit embarressed with comments made last week, but will we still be happy this time fri? I hope so but trouble is we've no idea what KJ will do or how he'll set out the team. For me I'm with paultam. KJ is mediocre at this level tactically. Boro away is going to be one hell of a test.

29 Feb 2016 21:32:58
Paul with the situation we're in we need a safe pair of hands, McCarthy was a safe (safer than Terry Connor) pair of hands and anybody had a better clue than Saunders. We can't afford Rodgers monk or moyes we'd settle for another clueless idiot if we got rid of jackett.

01 Mar 2016 08:33:29
paul I agree mate what ever hand he's been dealt he hasn't played it very well tactically inept playing positions inept all adds up to poor results.

01 Mar 2016 09:56:59
Paul agree regarding KJ . Jack Russel you just shot your reasoning in the foot mate. March the 1st and you say 7 more points and we are safe, for gods sake we should not be grasping for points with over 2 months of the season left.

01 Mar 2016 10:00:47
Look at Derby, the most expensive team in this division. McClaren and Clement have been and gone. The present bloke won't be there long. Who is happy these days? I think Jackett will survive long term if we don't get taken over. A bigger name than Jackett would cost more than Morgan wants to pay, plus a new guy would want to sign more and better players. All this would be like a red flag to a bull as far as Morgan is concerned. Who else in their right mind would work for Morgan under the constraints Jackett has to suffer? OK, an idiot like Dean Shambles would.

01 Mar 2016 10:54:27
At the end of the day, the reality is the season was over in February so JACKETT has failed! End of!

01 Mar 2016 11:34:05
Well top six was minimum finish to hear Moxey talk and that's gone out the window so what next Mr. Moxey.
The strange deal I cannot get my head round is the Mason deal Β£3 plus million, when Jackett hardly plays him something don't make sense to me with that deal after we fans have been going mad to get players in then we splash a lot of money on him.
I personally think that KJ didn't want Mason that's what gets me mad about KJ he seams to much of a yes man and he definitely is a tinker man, if he would of kept settled side even with these players he would of done better.
Wolves fans what's the latest on any new takeover bids let us now.

01 Mar 2016 12:31:13
Enlighten us My left foot?

01 Mar 2016 12:42:00
Its fantastic to see a counter point to the JACKET out club . I think he has done a good job with his hands tied . We may be sheep but not lemmings.

01 Mar 2016 12:55:43
If u think he's done a good job your more than a lemming! U obviously like losin.

01 Mar 2016 13:17:49
Jackett did brilliantly for us in his 1st season with the trouble we were in. 2nd season exceeded all our expectations. This season has been a shambles, didn't replace Sako with anybody, Dicko injured early on, no replacement, sold stearman (not the best in the world bu was solid) . Yes it's hard to replace those types of players for the money we ha available but we've done it before - Jacobs Mcdonald Henry all were less than 500k. Look at Leicester 1m for Vardy, 350k for Marhez, the players ar out there but we settled for no replacements and Ojo. now half way through the season, Jackett is struggling with options and doesn't know his best team, so nearly every game there's a change of formation and personnel. Next. Tommy Rowe RVLP Savile (yes Saville played well the weekend but 1 good game in however hasn't changed my mind on him yet) , continuing to pick these players when Byrne and Price impress and then get dropped every other week shows he's not as good as the last 2 seasons have shown. I last point, how many games this season have we been losing with 20 mins to go and he doesn't make a sub. then with 10 mins to go, takes ou most influential player off for Doherty, or for Coady or Saville? He even took Byrne off the weekend when he was playing brilliantly. I do like Jackett, he comes across as a sound bloke. But not good enough to be Wolverhampton Wanderers Manager/ Head Coach. As soon as new owners come in, I'd offer Monk a 4 year contract and tell the fans to have patience because he I still learning the managerial role, 4 years to get us to the prem, because Monk has the potential to be a superb manager. Come up with a plan, developing our own with t addition of 2-3 experienced players in vital positions CB + CM. I really think we should throw all our eggs at Monk.

01 Mar 2016 13:32:00
Why throw all our eggs at Monk when you quite rightly say he is still learning the managerial role he may well turn out to be another jackett Monk had good players at Swansea and as we quite often see the board want instant success. I would settle for Clement or Pearson, Clement seems to have the right idea albeit with the backing of the board at the start of the season Pearson has shown he knows what it takes to get out of this league and survive in a perm relegation scrap.

01 Mar 2016 13:39:24
41 % win ratio in Championship considering poor board and now club up for sale .

01 Mar 2016 14:05:05
Less than 33% win ratio this season! Lost more than he's won! A minus goal difference! Only 5 home wins! Season over in February! Worth a new contract hey? NOOOOOOO!

01 Mar 2016 14:33:45
being as we can forget circumstances 47 % ratio to date.

01 Mar 2016 14:34:22
Spanish Wolf. 50 points will usually see a team safe in this Division. Perhaps you missed the point that we have 12 games left to achieve that total and if we can't pick up seven points in 12 games, we will have to become a lot worse than our average this season. With Zyro and Williamson returning soon, hopefully we will see the team getting stronger rather than weaker.

Perhaps you can explain how I 'shot my reasoning in the foot'. Fact is fact mate!

01 Mar 2016 14:48:49
Yes Jack Russell, it looks better now than a few days ago when we would have needed 10 in 13 games. Anyone recalling Deano's reign or TC's will know that's not a given. But I like to think we've got at least a couple more wins in us - hopefully quite a few - but enough to finish 21st.

01 Mar 2016 14:54:15
11 wins in 34 games is less than 33%!

01 Mar 2016 16:33:29
Blimey, this relegation talk is very academic now, isn't it? I think we dropped into League One with 53 points in 2013? Look at the table right now and you could say that ANY given team outside the playoffs could be relegated. Cardiff in 7th have 52 points. Are they worried? They have games to play. Go figure.

If we continue to play the way we did against Derby we will finish on a high. Obviously we will struggle against some teams but we can't allow the theoretical mathematical possibility of relegation to knock our confidence.

01 Mar 2016 19:48:21
Given the form of the bottom four, I don't think relegation is even a consideration. Historically, one of those teams may start to get their act together, but no more than one. That still leaves three with an absolute mountain to climb.

01 Mar 2016 19:57:07
Deep Throat, it was 51 points. Peterborough finished above us on 54 points and were relegated. This was a season where the top teams got promoted with a lower than usual points total. That is the way it seems to work.

01 Mar 2016 22:06:31
Paul Tamworth - you have been KJ and Wolves bashing for weeks now about lack of success and missing out from the Play Offs last season and just being mediocre this season. Recognizing the list of casualties this season and let's be honest who wouldn't miss the likes of the players we have out this season. You moan, moan, moan about the lack of instant success from KJ. Look where he had to build from and what he had to do to make this a feel good football club again. The disaster that was Mick McCarty's final reign followed by TC, SS and DS was no easy fix. Now in your post above you are calling for an untried Gary Monk at this level and want to give him 4 years to get out of the Championship. How does that stack up with all your seasons ranting and raving. Another 4 years of Championship football.

01 Mar 2016 22:17:45
Wolfrun 2010 not my message? I've never called for Monk to be given 4 years? U been on the pop? 🍺🍺🍺.

02 Mar 2016 09:40:49
Jack Russell. Thanks for clarification. We went down with 51 points at Peterboro went down with 54. It backs up my point that any team below the playoffs right now could in theory be relegated. Let's play with freedom and not be frightened about what could happen in theory. As you say, the team is getting stronger now after our cruel run of injuries.

02 Mar 2016 17:10:39
Wolfrun2010.
It was StuuCorbett who mentioned giving Monk 4 years to get us promoted. I don't think Paul T would give anyone 4 years!
Frankly, if we are going to get a new bloke in and give him 4 years, that's far too long. We have the core of a side that can seriously challenge next season simply by keeping promises made to us last summer. Like replacing Sako. Like a new centre forward etc.

02 Mar 2016 19:07:25
We punched well above our weight last year,
We have a much weaker squad.
Had we kept the same squad we may have made the play-offs

Jackett has had his squad decimated by sales by injury.
The owner has spat his dummy.
If we finish in the top ten the man deserves the credit he deserves.
And I strongly believe had he walked away, knowing the track record of our hierarchy, we could have capitulated.
In business, in our everyday lives, if your best employees get headhunter, then you get a bout of employees going off sick, you feel the pressure make the wrong choices.
The guy is human.
Hear in the tescos now bumming berahinio, if only we had him all season.
If only Dicko, Sako, Afobe. blah blah blah.

02 Mar 2016 21:49:37
When we fail to win in 7 games it's like the Deano period I think we won once in the league and we went down see why we are worried about relegation does Derby game change that? I dunno it's 3 points but imagine a couple more injuries like when we lost Sako and Seb last time we went down we are not safe because when we fall we freefall like not beating teams like Preston and Huddersfield. I think we will stay up easily but if the next two matches are lost I'll be worried.

05 Mar 2016 12:01:49
Look guys let's get one thing straight. KJ has not had an awful season but I rollercoaster one. I actually disagree with some of your comments. I think that we have replaced sako and stearman with graham and willy. Due to their injuries we haven't been able to capitalise on the top 6 if dicko was here all season and we actually fuking played mason then we should be ok next season.

Roll on next Season.
