police have announced that any of the 300 wolves fans identified on the pitch will be banned for 5 years, 1200 have come forward so far {Ed011's Note - Seems more believable than the 15,000 I've seen being quoted around.

Hope that includes the players! lol

Ha Ha very funny. Not! You shouldn't be making light of the fact that a bunch of mindless persons decide to run riot, kick holes in the dug-outs and try to up root goal posts. I hope you all get lengthy bans. So the club is in the mire; don't make matters worse by showing the football world what so called fans we have at Molineux.

Does the law not state the max ban is 3 years?

I think you'll find the joke is -

Police have said that Wolves fans caught on the pitch yesterday at Molineux will be banned for 5 years.

15,000 have now handed themselves in

Lighten up - not making light of mindless thugs on the pitch just showing a sense of humour in dark times!

So the club are rewarding the players who invaded the pitch then.

Yeah. that's sort of the joke.

I thought it was funny anyway.

So the fans are allowed to invade the pitch without reprisals when we get promoted or avoid relegation by the skins of our teeth but not to voice their disgust at the end of a diabolical season! A diabolical season that has been influenced by mismanagement at the top end of the club (M&M)!

How dare fans that support the club and pay good money week in week out show more passion than the overpaid, overrated rubbish that has the cheek to say "we tried!" How dare they voice their disgust at M&M's inept running of this once great club and their running it into the ground!

Surprised the water cannons and tanks weren't rolled out!

There are ways of voicing your disapproval without wrecking your own home ground and assaulting your own stewards. Grow up.

When we were promoted or when we avoided relegation I didn't see anybody trashing the dugout our kicking stewards.

You've totally missed the point of the comment! I don't condone a perspex sheet having 2 holes put in it or a goalpost being pulled down or advertising boards being kicked! Nor do I condone anyone being assaulted!

What I really dislike in all this is M&M punching the air in delight and waving at fans who went onto the pitch to celebrate promotion and staying up the other season, lapping it up, basking in the glory like they were Gods and then when they are getting negative feedback because the truth hurts the Police are called in to bring these super criminals to justice! Its as though fans shouldn't be able to voice their disapproval at what can only be described as a nightmare 18 months!

I tell you what why don't they pay for the damage out of their own pockets or even make the players pay for it! If they had all done their jobs properly the events of Saturday wouldn't have happened!

29 Apr 2013 19:24:23
it was like watching the orks in lord of the rings,

So the ground was trashed, 2 holes in a dugout, 1 advertising board kicked, 1 thrown and goal posts shook. If that's trashing the ground the players ought to be locked up for a long time for robbery.

It wasnt for invading the pitch it was for the rioting by the mindless thugs that have made our club look even more stupid (if possible under M&M). They have a right to protest but when violence starts that's when it stops. A 10 yr old boy got hit with a bottle, and, the stewards were just doing there job and they were getting hit and kicked. Pathetic and i'm very sad to be a wolves fan at the moment

WILKO

Mate - we've been watching orks all season - you'd never class them as footballers

At the end of the day, going onto the pitch, damaging the clubs property and attacking the stewards who were just doing their jobs. is a crime! When a crime is committed the police get called in. Welcome to the real world.

Plus who will want to come play for a team who's fans do this?!

Of course invading the pitch is unacceptable. But then again it's OK when these same fans are behind the club, paying all that gate money and singing loudly. If we'd have won the leage having brought in some star players they'd be singing "There's only one Steve Morgan" and various expletives about the team along the road. Can't have it both ways.

29 Apr 2013 15:32:10
I'm wolves through and through, born and bred, make no mistake about it.

The fans have a lot to answer for, booing and jeering! Yes okay you pay your money. If you keep telling people they are crap they start to beleive it and a minority of wolves fans succeded in getting this into the players.

For the fans who damaged our ground and ran on to the pitch. Your a disgrace! damaging your own! and I hope never to see you at the wolves again.

Hope your all proud.

Are the players really going to want to turn out at Brighton and give a final push for safety when they risk being accosted at the end of the game by a load of mindless yobs? They have had a dire season and we have had to endure it but who gets threatened for not doing their job properly? - not those thugs that's for sure. Just hope they know the rest of us are still hoping for a miracle.

The club wants a complete overhaul been run by persons from top to bottom, went saturday terrible game of football, deano said it wouldn't be pretty, but that was awful, said we missed chances, can't believe what game he watches, nice guy but not good enough to manage wolves allthey done his hoof the ball. wolfy

U moan about hoofball, yet when we try and change the style, as with solbakken, some fans just don't have any patience and instead criticise it at first chance, shout for the manager whos trying to do it be sacked and that the players are s****! that's why were always gna be a hoofball side and that's another reason why atm even if we were in the premier league we wouldn't establish ourselves. Swansea's an example, and their fans didn't hound out managers for trying to change their style of play and it took them years but look at them now! {Ed003's Note - you can't compare the Swans,they were bailed out by the council at rock bottom and built from there,in the early years they were just grateful of being able to watch football.}

Course I can compare to Swansea, i'm not looking at their history, i'm looking at the way they play football!

29 Apr 2013 15:25:23
wolves have just stated that every one of the estimated 300 fans who ran on the pitch saturday will get 5 year bans so far nearly 15 thousand have handed themselves in

29 Apr 2013 15:22:23
just heard that morgans selling to jaguer landrover don't know if this is true, but can see how the rumour has started with them building a plant in wolves {Ed011's Note - They're owned by Tata Steel, the rumour that they were interested has been flying around for months now, it does keep coming up though.

If we were doing well, I would expect a sponsorship deal. But no, not a purchase.

Big whispers coming out of the club is that Neil Warnock will be in charge of Wolves next season, regardless of what division the team is in

God I hope not. I would rather stick with DS than suffer NW.

Ian

But we all know which division we will be in

Get him in as a DoF and a manager too!

He doesn't want to manage, unless you mean director of football ''id have him'' if I knew Moxey was being sacked at least he knows the game.

Didn't think it would be long before the Warnock word appeared

Deano 19 games 20points! He's had his chance and failed! Time for a new manager! Give the new guy 20 games, if we're not top 6 of crappy div1 I'd sack him whoever he might be! If your still runnin the club next season Morgan we want instant promotion nothin else is acceptable! Paul Tamworth

From Brightonwolf
A warnock type appointment would be just another in a long series of bad decisions.
If Morgan is to stay then he should do the honourable thing and bankroll the recovery himself.
If he is not prepared to do that then he should do what Sir Jack did and give the club to a new owner who will invest and manage the club better.

Get Warnock in as manager, with the remit of promotion back to the prem in 3 seasons, offer him a big promotion bonus and the DoF position once we make it back to the prem, this would give him the incentive to succeed, knowing he would still be employed and have direct input on footballing matters, he might not be to everyone's liking, but neither was Bruce and look at Hull
Warnock knows the lower leagues and takes no prisoners, just the kind of manager we need now.

Better than Saunders and beggars can't be choosers. His record at getting teams promoted is second to none.

No doubt in my opinion we need experience, an old head and a sparky character. Someone who has seen it all before and can sort things out. He will also stand up to Jez.

Lol whatever happened to "the future's bright the future's Deano!"

Nice to still see you are giving managers a chance PT!

The fact of the matter is Dumbo should never have got the job in the first place!

Remember what you wished for PT!

No way should we ever want Cokin associated with our club!

. and tamworth,. ridiculous comment as usual! It's being a hiring and firing club that's got us into this mess in the first place!. yes, get rid of Downo, but give the next manager the time he needs!

The club hasn't got time! If a new manager can't get us in the top 6 of div1 in 20 games then he isn't good enough! The crowd in div1 will be 12-15k at best, imagine what they'll be if we don't get promoted straight away? We must get instant promotion! Paul Tamworth

I think Neil Warnock should be manager to be honest, he knows how to get a club playing decent football, he doesn't take no s**t from anyone and he will knock some sense into some of our useless players.

Whilst I think it's unfair to blame all of the club's current problems on DS, after all, he has an almost entirely incompetent playing staff. But the distinct lack of game plan and motivation (which shouldn't really be a problem in a relegation fight) means he ultimately has to go (along with the MM deadwood) so the club can start with a carte blanche next season.

I think we should try to bring in Steve Davis from Crewe. He's a young (ish) up-and-coming manager who has achieved success with a young, home-grown side and a shoestring budget. It also smacks of Norwich when they brought in Paul Lambert from Colchester. If we are hoping to integrate more young players next season, then someone like Davis seems a good option to me.

Neil warnock won't play decent football trust me if u seen leeds play in past year the football is ridicolous. he doesn't bring subs on until last 5 mins and that's when you losing.

Hard to see any manager doing well at the mo. The last 4 have failed - kind of suggests something else is wrong, no?

Yeah sure, there are plenty of things that are going, and have gone, wrong. But there clearly needs to be a complete overhaul of the squad and I just don't think "Deano" is the man for the job. For one the fans just don't like him (albeit I know some fans would loathe Mourinho if he was at the Molineux), and I think there's a prevailing sense that pretty much everything from this season simply has to go so we can start pretty much from scratch next season.

deano to have crisis talks this week, with morgan and moxey, do the right thing morgan, sack him, then sack moxey, then sell the club, reports says dean hasn't spoken to morgan in weeks, don't look good. source wolvesnewsnow

Crisis talks are coming 6 months too late in my opinion! The club is rotten from top to bottom, everyone involved just want to line their pockets, the only players that should be kept are the ones who will agree to a pay decrease and the young players with heart, the rest should be shipped out. Morgan needs to come out tell us all about the mistakes he's made being ill advised and start a fresh. Get Moxey out too! Saunders hasn't got a clue, playing hunt on the right when Hammil is warning the bench! Clueless!

Who would buy wolves

Good question, who are you asking?
