Hi guys . I have been told tonight we have a 2 million bid for Adam Flint from Bristol City. don't know if source is reliable. Whisper maybe .

28 May 2017 22:46:43
I wouldn't of thought so he is English.

28 May 2017 23:03:23
He's worth between 5 - 7 million so I wouldn't believe that.

28 May 2017 23:07:18
That sounds to me like a Lambert target.

28 May 2017 23:28:43
From what I've heard, if he is a Lambert target he could be off to Sunderland.

29 May 2017 08:33:31
Come on Nuno. Hurry up and sort out this mess! 👍😉⚽️.

29 May 2017 08:37:48
No way are we making bids for the likes of Adam Flint. Nothing will happen until Santo is in place as head coach.

Any guesses than Santo is not coming because he will want to spend too much, are nonsense plain and simple, as they ignore the reality. Nobody can spend tens of millions at this stage for Wolves, it would break the financial rules. Expenditure is not the issue we are facing.

Sant will be appointed.

29 May 2017 08:51:51
@Wolves are keen to sign portuguese CB Fábio Cardoso, from V. Setúbal. They face competition from @RangersFC.

29 May 2017 10:56:35
Im sure NES will have a big say in that one kidda.

29 May 2017 11:51:39
The fair play rules give us a limit of over spend, compared to our revenue, over 3 years of about £40 million. So without bringing in money from sales in the next 2 seasons, we won't be spending mega money as some people think we can. The fact that we have billionaire owners in the championship doesn't make that much difference.

Especially when we sign a bunch of players who can't cut it in this league. Lambert could see that and was looking to bring the right type of players in. look at Newcastle and Brighton's signing last year, experienced, quality, championship players. All we can hope is that the new manager realises this and gets his say on who comes in.

29 May 2017 11:58:43
Unless we get a new sponsor.
Stadium naming rights.
And. we could spend now as long as the books are balanced 2018/ 19 season.

29 May 2017 14:52:38
According to an article today on Sky Sports, promotion to the PL sees an uplift in revenue of at least £170m, rising to. £290m if you stay up after the first season.

That's the big gamble. Do Fosun and Wolves go for it - Spend another £30m-£40m to get promoted. The increased revenue will ensure we don't break FFP rules. Flip side is if we don't get promoted in the next two season we will need to balance the books by selling our best players. That's if again we want to stay within the rules.

Other teams like Bournemouth have carried on regardless and taken the fine for FFP. Do Fosun just say sod the rules and go for it anyway. Bournemouth got fined £7.6m for breaking the rules. I'd pay that if Wolves we're esatablished in the Premier League!

28 May 2017 11:49:47
A friend who works at wolves has heard Fosun will not be appointing Santo, although interview went really well he insisted on money needing to be spent to get the team where it needs to be and Fosun are unwilling to spend the money he requests, instead they will appoint Couceiro!

28 May 2017 12:33:37
If that's the case surely the interview didn't go well?

28 May 2017 12:53:55
We just need a proven quality tried and tested manager who's allowed to pick the players and team he wants. 😂😂.

28 May 2017 13:01:28
I would imagine that any interviews / discussions at this moment would be highly confidential and details only known to those in the room.

28 May 2017 13:11:07
Hembico what you state is true, but all will talk again on Tuesday, its not dead in the water just yet!

28 May 2017 13:18:58
Well that supports what a sensible manager would want wouldn't he 😂😂😂👍👍.

28 May 2017 13:20:10
We not got the money but break are transfer record with rav and Costa lololol love how many on here are the same person but just change there name. Keep it real.

28 May 2017 15:02:50
All this speculation about the manager will he or won't he it was the same last year when the takeover was going through I still think it will b santo.

28 May 2017 15:09:29
If santo wants money to spend on the team fosun should let him have it it's going to cost to get the team promoted.

28 May 2017 15:35:14
Why appoint a "high profile" coach and then deny him input to player recruitment.

28 May 2017 16:58:59
Ah let Mendes decide lupinehowler. In fact why not make him coach as well. He seems to know what he wants and what he's doing! 😂😂😂😂 none of this looks good at the mo does it? 👎.

28 May 2017 17:13:21
Just to clear things up, yes we have money however Fosun are not willing to put in the investment they did last year ( don't know why not) . They liked the idea of Nuno and everything he had to say apart from his views on the current squad and what needs to be spent! ( he didn't just want Mendes cast offs he wanted quality.

28 May 2017 17:38:07
Hembico, if this is true then it is a sign that Fosun have no ambition. Quite why they would buy a football club and then not want to invest in quality players is beyond me. The world does not just revolve around Jorge Mendes. If this is true then we are going nowhere again and again the fans will have been let down.

As it stands, they have wasted money on substandard players and severance fees for 2 managers (assuming that Lambert is for the chop) . Not the way to run a club or make money which apparently is their main goal.

I am becoming increasingly worried about our great club and the silence from the club in the face of all of these rumours is deafening.

28 May 2017 17:46:17
Hembico You have no idea of who will be wolves manager. Portuguese press advise the president of Vitoria setabul has advised that they have NOT had an approach from Wolves for Couceiro and would not entertain one. it also advised wolves may have sounded out Couceiro but he had no interest.

28 May 2017 18:17:47
Veni Espírito Santo! 🙏.

28 May 2017 18:44:07
Oh if that's true then I give up.

28 May 2017 18:50:14
Statto you say the following
Quite why they would buy a football club and then not want to invest in quality players is beyond me

Well have you heard of a man named Steve Morgan.

Its beyond me too.

28 May 2017 20:08:12
Guys "Hembico" has only ever made 5 posts and they have all been today.
My view on what he has said is simply ignore it unless he can supply substantive proof and let's face it he won't or can't blah blah blah.

{Ed007's Note - Hembico's posting history goes back to at least the 15th June 2016.}

28 May 2017 20:31:53
oooh apologies Hembico
However, there is this quote “President Fernando Oliveira could never have been responsible for stopping the departure of coach José Couceiro for Wolverhampton, simply because the club has never been approached in that regard by the English side. ”.

28 May 2017 20:41:19
Hembico what a load of rubbish.

28 May 2017 21:11:28
OGW, I wouldn't ever defend Morgan as he completely mismanaged the club but his one saving grace was the investment into the academy. I think that when Fosun took over, with their status in the business world, we all expected decent investment. If what Hembico says is correct, then it is ridiculously disappointing and puzzling as the money is to be made in the Premiership, so if they are serious about the club they need to properly invest to get there.

Derbywolf, I said "if this is true" in respect of Hembico's post. Although whether it is true or not, I do think that Fosun's handling of the situation has been poor. If Lambert is their man, publicly back him, if he's not, sack him. There is no need to keep everyone in limbo whilst they search for a replacement if the latter is their view.

28 May 2017 22:07:10
Statto I agree with you mate if all this turns out to be reality I can see Fosun walking away this is not good for their image.

28 May 2017 22:15:26
Hembico, I don't believe that for a second. I may not like the fact Fosum are getting rid of Lambert but they have already proven they are willing to spend the money necessary. I just really hope we can get a proper Director of Football to lead the recruitment of the players.

It wouldn't surprise me if when the new manager comes in we spend £30m. Sadly I think we will be using mendes to get the players.

28 May 2017 22:19:38
If the Nuno santo deal falls through because of money over transfers then fosun have no ambition whatsoever lambert hanging on for a years pay off if that's the case then why did they buy the club all this makes no sense at all getting to the prem they will get bucket loads.

28 May 2017 23:04:45
Only at Wolves could you get billionaire owners and it ends up as a farce. Oh, the trials and tribulations of being a Wolves fan!

28 May 2017 23:11:33
Not saying it's true or not guys! Just passing on what I've been told, I for one hope it's a load of tosh! The bloke does work for wolves though and is bound to hear things, anyway just saying 🙄.

29 May 2017 09:57:51
Thinking rationally for once what about the FFP restrictions?
They can spend some but not go mad so perhaps Nuno whatever his name is is being guided my Mendes to push negotiations too far and then meet somewhere in the middle. You know the usual guff.

29 May 2017 10:01:47
I don't think hembico is a wolves fan he probably supports that lot up the road he's winding us all up.
