I can confirm the new wolves manager will NOT be Gareth Southgate for all you panicking, Owen Coyle is very close to getting appointed and he should be the new Wolves boss by the weekend.

I hope so, some people say no rush? I don't agree with that. Before u go for a new manager/coach u know who u want or at least your top 3 preferences! U go all out to get your main target! It does not take getting on for 4 weeks to get a yes or no off 3 candidates! If Coyle is first choice get him now before someone else gets him! Stop fannyin around FFS! Paul Tamworth
Coyle going to Wigan fact
Stick the pundtry please along with keane
I can also confirm Owen Coyle has the wolves job agreed Thursday last week FACT and will be annouced this week. Believe what you like it's a done deal come from inside the club family member
Wigan Want Poyet, Coyle will be our man. I was led to believe today would be the day it was announced but it should be done by the weekend /Monday at the latest. The spanner in the works is actually clubs not being able to approach Poyet due to Brighton not making a decision on Poyets future at the club or weather he has one.

Maybe, just maybe, they are waiting on a manager who has contractual issues to sort out or who may want to sign for a PL club but would accept our job if he didn't get the offer he really wants (something we have to accept as a 3rd division club). Someone who is currently suspended, possibly.
Here's hoping, but would help to explain the slow process.
Adrian chiles to be assistant manager to Southgate, great news for wolves fans. anyway good luck with that----- up the wurzels
Sorting out jacketts compo is the hold up why have Owen coyle who's failed and will jump ship if things go wrong jackett has done a great job with limited resources at millwall deserves a shot at wolves
I don't think there's any strange goings on. I just think the board don't have to rush so they aren't. Ditto managers. If I were Coyle I'd be talking to other clubs too.
We may not get our first choice man, but that's something we have to live with in L1.
When it boils down to it, no-one has a clue. Without a doubt Owen Coyle will be interested in the Wigan Job too. I'd be surprised if Poyet isn't as well. And Kenny Jackett is favourite to get the Sheffield job according to Yorkshire papers.
If it is to be any of the three, I'll be happy. Same if it's Steve Davis, who I've wanted from the off. But the fact remains, we just don't know.
I hope a decision is made fairly quickly though, as yet again we could end up missing out at this rate
Phil Neville to conduct second interview and is likely to be appointed barring Everton offering him a position on their coaching team.
Owen coyle who should I pick wolves or Wigan?
Nobody deserves a shot at the wolves
Coyle will get the job tommorrow or Friday or next week or the Monday after or the week after that or the day the season starts I've been told by my wife's cousins brothers best mates friend and he should know he used to know one of the directors
Lot of money been put on coyle to be Wigan manager
This is why I hate morgan this club is just a toy to him does not care about us wish he would sell up
Judging by this mornings news that Wigan want Coyle I'd say the messing about has just about cost us having Coyle as Head Coach next season.
Obviously a well known name costs money and wants money and Jez has to think of his bonus you know!
I understand people's frustration with how long the decision is taking but why rush aslong as we have someone in a week or so before pre season with a clear plan and direction what is the rush. As they stated we've interviewed several people and no matter who you are or know the club is keeping it very quiet I to am sitting in the edge of my seat but this decision needs to be right if they get it right I don't care how long they take!
All the talk of continuing with interviews and being thorough is just to cover up the fact that we have been turned down again. This is due to the board still not wanting to give up control and let the right man do his job. Don't expect an appointment this week, expect a disappointment later next month.
It's important to get to know a potential manager- sit him down for a meal and find out more about what makes him tick. Jez is enjoying this process and is conducting several interviews a day.
I'm still sticking by my "this week" prediction, for a appointment or at least an approach. The stick in the spokes will always be that we're competing with clubs in higher leagues for the managers we might want, so we may get knocked back once or twice.
We're going to give somebody the job this week. Or next or approach someone or text them or tweeter or send him a letter or put advert in paper have I missed any thing what a joke we are. Lol
You are going to be disappointed jacket and coyle have turned job down mclaran didn't even finish interview. davis and Robinson not interested its warnock.
