Just a few snippets I've heard within the last day or so.
The Luke Murphy deal is on, the fee is around 800k to begin with, with a further 200k on promotion, plus add ons based on appearances. Wolves aren't the only club interested, but as it is the only firm offer on the table to both Crewe and Murphy, is he moves right now, it will be to Wolves.
Kenny Jackett has also made a speculative move for Ipswich left back Aaron Cresswell, who is highly rated by Ipswich boss Mick McCarthy. Stephen Ward was offered, plus cash, but the offer was flatly refused, though McCarthy is keen on taking Ward to Portman Road, but has cooled interest in Richard Stearman.
Dorus De Vries will be allowed to leave for free, with Dutch side Roda JC seeming like the most likely destination.
The Creswell link is untrue, MM will try for Stephen Ward but only if he can sell Creswell first.
What's happening with Hennessy love him to stay he's top notch
Kevin phillips almost a done deal. 99 per cent think he will be ours. says he's is extremely interested in joining wolves and is excited at the offer. the realist.
As far as I know, Jackett is keen on keeping Hennessey, providing he can prove his fitness over pre-season. I'd expect a straight battle between Hennessey and Ikeme for the goalkeeper position, with McCarey as 3rd choice.
Palace have signed Dwight Gayle from posh so Phillips rumour has some substance.
Interestingly enough, Crystal Palace has signed Dwight Gayle, where does this leave Phillips now?
I think you will see one of the three leaving as KJ will not be able to facilitate all 3 and if I was a betting man I would think he will sell Ikeme
Rumours have it that a Championship club have come in for Murphy
Blackburn in for Murphy. Offer him a decent wage and make him captain - sell him the "Wolves Project' - 2 successive promotions!
Phillips in as player coach, hopefully
MEDIA WOLF
No murphy going to Blackburn he will not come to wolves
Would definitely offer him a decent wage. Not sure about the captaincy. Depends who's there. Wouldn't be surprised if Hennessey was given the captaincy. Blackburn will no doubt offer him a lucrative contract. They'll be hoping to mount a promotion push next season so it's anybody's guess where Murphy will end up. hope it's Wolves though!
Murphy going to Blackburn. another deal down the drain. you reap what you sew. Moxey Out!
Media wolf hope they are both true he'd be amazing in cm with Davies. And Philips will boost the young attackers confidence and help improve them. Great person to have around a young squad. And I think will turn out to be a brilliant coach
Blackburn have had a bid accepted for Murphy that matches the Wolves one at around £1m in total after add ons. All down to the player now. Jay
If he does sign for Blackburn why is that moxeys fault! We over decent contracts especially being as we're in league 1 but its well known Blackburn have more money than sence so if he goes there its his own decision based on money which we would all do the same in are work! Ill be disappointed if he does but impressed with thewells scouting and player ideas
Here is one for the Moxey haters, Wolves have offered more in wages than Rovers.
For once, just for once I can understand where this has gone. And foresaw the Moxey hating. Say what you will about the pie-guzzler, if Luke Murphy does sign for Blackburn, it will hardly be Moxey's fault. The lad is 23. He's been offered a contract at Blackburn, rumour has it with the offer of captaincy. That makes captaining a side against Forest. Against QPR. Against Wigan. etc etc. Or he could sign for us. And play (possibly captain, who knows?) against Stevenage. Against Crawley. Against Rotheram. etc etc
Which would you choose? It pains me to say it, but it's hardly the fault of Moxey if he signs for the Chicken Twins
Totally agree and tbf this is what moxey is best at contracts, buying and selling players for great prices. And with the help of thewell choosing some good targets such as murphy I think this structure will work well for us and I'm personally so excited about It really impressed with jackets comments and decisions so far. Thewells targets were linked with hope it all works out and we boss the league
Choosing good targets is one thing, getting them to sign is another. I don't see how we can express an opinion on Jackett and Thelwell just yet because they haven't done anything.
Moxey has put us in Div 1, he should have been sacked!
Thats funny because I didn't see moxey pull on a shirt and take to the pitch last season, but I did see a Wolves team put in some pretty terrible performances with a lack of direction. But your right, it was the CEO's lack of contribution to our points tally that put us in the bottom 3 and got us relegated.
HiHoWolf
I said what they've done so far looks promising hope it pays off if you can read
Cheese on Bread! (Bajan saying) when will you get off Moxey's back. He does a job controlling the purse strings and that is why we are not in financial meltdown after 2 succesive relegations. Mismanagement from the top? Yes. But blame the overpaid primadonas for the position we now find ourselves in. Moxey IN.
Cheese on bread! The only reason we are ok financially is TV money. Moxey has already said it's difficult to get sponsors and the TV money won't be there much longer. We'll be playing Dudley Town by then but that's ok. We're not a football club, we re a money making organisation. I can't see us producing enough gems to sell on at a profit to save the day either.
Absolute rubbish. No way will Dud-lie get promoted!
I'm Dudley born and bred. The only Dudlian who says Dud lie is Lenny Henry. ( and he doesn't say it any more because he's a serious thesp now)
