SteveBullStand-If Micheal Kightly doesn't sign a new contract he will be a disgarce to our club. We stayed by him while he was injured and we could of gave up on him but we didn't. He loves the fans we love him and plus we brought him into professional football so he has to sign the contract. AGREE WITH ME WOLVES FANS! {Ed011's Note - I agree, some of the players who are signing on for next season owe us a lot less than he does.

Totally agree mate. But, worst case scenario, he leaves - take as much money as we can and accept it. I think Hammill is desperate to prove a point this season.

I want Kightly to stay as m

SteveBullStand- Ed if he leaves its like a (female dog) slap in the face. Like he walked all over us and used us.

Does anyone know the exact truth about Kites contract, has he been given one, has he refused to sign? Wolvesinsider keep out of this. Hard cold facts please!

I no he has been offered a contract, it was in feb while at watford, he has refused to sign, n he will go!

I have to agree with you on you're point SteveBullStand , Wolves did stick by Kightly how ever we have enough wingers at the club and he is replacable , cash in I say.
Gibo.

From what i saw of kightly he had a 20-30 min spell against the villa in the 1st half and then disapeared, lets face it in 2yrs time you would want a complete revamp of the squad to have taken place bar the odd one or two with the managers own team in place,

How do people no if he's been offered a contract n is this same kites that came out n said I owe the club alot I want to stay but my future is unclear cause of my contract or something along them lines

None of them are loyal nowadays can not spell wolverhampton let alone be proud of the club like us fans

Ss has told him he can leave if he wants kites thinks he is better than what he is he had one good half last season against villa the rest he was average get 3 mil get rid

Dont like the bloke, hammill much better than him.

If he goes he goes, he is seriously injury prone and as good a player as he is i would be surprised and dissapointed if we had offered him a contract while he was on loan at Watford after nearly 3 years of inactivity and shocked that a man with his injury record did not jump at the chance of more money for nothing.

SteveBullStand-Micheal Kightly to have talks with Wolves this week as stoke prepare for £2 million bid for the winger who is out of contract next summer.

I'd sooner he ws kept and run his contract down. Than sell him 2 Stoke 4 tht price.. Sorry.

26 Jul 2012 15:37:50
{Ed011's Note - Stoke have made contact in regards to buying Kightly.

Probley because they cant afford jarvis or fletcher, so they go for second best ibstead i hope he stays though

Great :( if it's true we'll sell him if they offer a reasonable amount he's only got one year left on his contract. We need him for next season. Should have offered him a new contract.

TWOLF

Going for the cheaper offer to Jarvis , they can fook right offski.
Gibo.

Surely,if he is going to go it would be to a better football team than stoke,I doubt he would see much of the ball out on the wings there would he!

Kites needs to be offered a new contract. He's one of the players that we MUST keep hold of..I for one will be gutted to see him go ):

He won't go there.

No way.

Didn't Wolves Insider, Wolfie ES or Wolvesvicar or someone say West Ham had already bought him about three weeks ago. Shows what the "insiders" know!

Kightly contracted to wolves untill summer 2014 so 2 years left on contract not 1

There again , he is injury prone so all things must be weighed up.
Gibo.

He HAS been offered an extension but refused to sign, it was offered while he was at watford!

Solbakken hinted a few weeks ago that he might consider letting Kightly go . May be something in this story.

As good as jarvis without any doubt.

There are rumours that Stoke have given up on Jarvo and fletch and now think they can pinch Kites for a fraction of the price.

Trouble is i got a feeling Kite has decided he wants to leave to further wages, having such a long lay out proberly made him realise his knees may not last out forever.

Have a feeling that wolves have proberly offered him a contract but he turned it down instructing his agent to fish for clubs

If this turns out to be true than i wont sypathise with kites as we looked after him when he was injured and should give us at least a season by signing a new contract with a non promotion release clause in it.

This is just my assuption and have no facts to back it up mind you, but i just couldnt see wolves not offering him a contract after all the time we put into him.

Mills wolf

I really hope we can keep him but again there is something behind this more than meets the eye.

Playing devils advocate I would anticipate that Kites is attracted to a big money move where he can generate a cash sum, and increased wages just in case his knee goes again and he is forced to retire.

Unlike other players who have had several transfers already to their name where they got rich quick, Kites has only had the move from Grays!

I would love him to stay but can honestly say hand on heart I couldnt blame him if he did leave. I do reckon though he is potentially way to good for Stoke and that

Kites only has 1 year left, i dont no y ppl keep saying he has more, its common knowledge he only has 1

If Kightley had refused to sign a new contract would the club have used him as one of the models in the promotion for the new kit ?

What he should do is give us one more season out of respect like doyle is doing.

He spent the best part of 2 years out of the team having lots of operations with all the best surgeons which i assume didnt come out of his own pocket, proberly subsidised by club and personal insurance, not to mention the wages he has collected along the way.

We stood by him, reabilitated him then gave him a chance to get his fitness on loan then he played the final few matches before we got relagated.

So after all that and given him a chance back into the team he should follow Doyles suit and give us a full season with himself fit to try and help the club that not only gave him his chance from non league obsurity, but looked after him through hards times when he could easily of had to retire.

If it comes to light that he waited to get fit only to go on and give some other club 2-3 good season at his best leaving wolves very little for all we've done for him then i think Wolves fans have a right to think bad of him.

Im not saying blind loyalty should be asked of anyone who wears the shirt like bully did, but abit of respect in these circumstances wouldnt go a miss.

This is from the player profile of the Official Wolves site. 'Returning fit and well for pre-season ahead of 2011/12, Kightly also put pen to paper on a contract extension which ties him to Molineux until the summer of 2014' so he has 2 YEARS LEFT ON HIS CONTRACT!! {Ed011's Note - I tried to check up on this but got lost in the Matrix that is our club's new website and gave up.

He is contracted to Wolves until the Summer of 2014 look up his profile on the official Wolves site.

Returning fit and well for pre-season ahead of 2011/12, Kightly also put pen to paper on a contract extension which ties him to Molineux until the summer of 2014. This is what in written on the offical Wolves site regards Kightly profile, so that should end all speculation

just an idea but what do people think about playing Karl henry centre back, obviously could be a little short but could be similar to what Johnny heitenga has done at everton.
AUSWOLF

Karl is weak a isnt a tackler he marks to gaps in front of the deference

After the comedy capers of Micks regime lets just play players in their correct positions.

If winning the championship and 3 years in the prem is comedy! Bring on the clowns.

HA i don't want him full stop so at centre back is laughable.... Shocking even thinking it my friend just shocking

Yes, and look where he took us, down as one of the worst premier league clubs in history and a squad full of dreadful players.

many people are suggesting wolves need a new midfielder and i have a few ideas:
Geoffrey Mujangi Bia
Frédéric Bulot
Josh McEachran (loan)
Manny Frimpong (loan)

Ed what is your opinion {Ed011's Note - Not Mujangi Bia, McEachran and Frimpong would be good loan moves and Bulots good too, but who said we need a new midfielder?? We just let Guedioura go because we have too many and they're all good enough for this level.

Frimmy wont be fit for a while, bia bombed on loan here and to be honest with Davis coming on the scene i think were okay in midfield, rather sort the defence out.

Mills wolf

What is happening with Zele Ismail I have heard so much about his talent without really seeing him progress into the 1st or 2nd team - any thoughts?

I have got to agree with you Mills Wolf ,though I suspect Roger Johnson will stay put.I also think Baath should be given a chance.Click agree if you cant wait until the start of the new season.
Gibo.

Zele Ismails' progress has been held back by a series of injuries. Also,I understand he hasn't developed physically as much as they hoped. The two issues are probably connected. However,to end on a brighter note the talent is still there.

Have a feeling he will be a late developer and maybe a couple more years untill he gets a chance at the first team. Trouble is his contract runs out soon too

Mills wolf

This is true he was out for like 6months or something like that but apperently the next big thing to come out of wolves is jack price

Next big thing is Liam Mcalinden!

Liam Mcalinden scored for fun last season his big test will be if he can do the same on loan somewhere

Pity we never took the 5 million Chelsea offered when he was 15

Hennessey to be sold to Everton cover for the ageing Howard. The money Everton get for the sale of Heitinga will cover the £3.5mill rumoured to be enough for Wayne {Ed011's Note - Hennessey wouldn't be sold for as little as £3.5m and he's seriously injured at the moment so he wouldn't be any kind of cover until between Oct-Dec. Plus Tim Howard is 33 so not that old and Hennessey is more than good enough to be a first team keeper in the Prem and wouldn't be happy to go and sit on the bench as cover for 2-3 years.

Crap, He is injured, Will be no 1 at wolves for some time, rather than stop gap on merseyside , Everton can't afford him as they need to replace cahill and strengthen elsewhere, more likely to compete with liverpool for DeVries at £750000.

Hennessey was in training, n did a fare bit today, is injured but not as bad as i thought, by the looks of things he is only 2 or 3 weeks behind the others

When DeVries covered for Hennessey, I thought he looked every bit as competent.

Yeah henners injury isnt as bad as first though but wolves playing this down in order to stop the vultures

Personally. I hope we keep DeVries. We will be a keeper short then we will have 2 replace him.. In todays market u aint gona get nobody decent in for 750k ?

Hennessey had an ACL reconstruction (same as Frimpong, and myself) once you have the surgery its 12 months for normal people to recover from and getting back to contact sport. But footballers with private rehab can get back in 6 months....once the surgery has been done, its redundant how bad the tear was...its the same wait for any pro footballer.
