Having seen this rumour I sent a couple of texts. The reply I got was that Cooky would jump at the chance to return to Wolves, but he knows nothing about it.

To be honest. I had heard this rumour too. Last week. But pretty much dismissed it. But have heard from a mate down south who is a Pompey season ticket holder that Cook has had an almighty bust up with the Portsmouth board due to the fact that they have denied him the opportunity to speak to a team in a higher division. But I stress this has come to me 2nd hand. So it is only a rumour but who knows.

Sorry guys, but this is total rubbish. Until we get new owners there is no chance that we will sack Jackett. Not only that he has clearly been given the chance to turn us around with extra investment. Paul Cook sounds like new Saunders as well.
