Sako could be staying!!!!!!

Says who?

Sako could be doing anythingWhere is the evidence?

I could be winning the lottery this Friday

You poor damn fool, your obviously new to this wolves game. Buy em, sell em!

You mean buy them cheap sell em for more I mean what a great bloke moxey is in that sense signs Henry for 100k then 7 years later sell a 30yr old for a 1mill Jarvis 500k then sells him for 11mill kites 50k was it 2.5 mill get my drift

With sako we want 4mil plus Fulham are only willing with 2.5mill with add ons so that's why he could stay cause we won't budge off our price but I will be surprised if he's here by the time the transfer window shuts

I thought I could be winning the lottery this Friday! Looks like that's not going to happen seeing as the guy above could be winning the lottery. Never mind there is always next week.

"Buy em, sell em!" you mean like every professional club that's ever existed?

We can't keep players if they don't want to play for us. We have been relegated twice in a row and I can totally understand why players too good for league 1 would want to leave. Just like I understood when Jarvis and Fletcher wanted to leave.

If you think that players should play for us from the academy until retirement, you need a reality check my friend. Until that happens this (and every) club will Buy em, sell em!

Not sure how legit the sources are, but places on the internet are suggesting that those that shall not be named are preparing to match any bid from Celtic for Doyler.

I won't mind him signing for Celtic. In fact I could understand it. But THEM?

Couldn't care less if he goes there. If we get the £2m we are after for a striker that can't score goals I would snap their hand off.

He is nothing compared to Shane Long so I don't understand why they would be interested. And they are two divisions above us. By the time we stand any chance of playing in the same league as them again Doyle will probably be long gone.

Hooper off to qpr bye bye doyle

Mate. they play in the SPL. not the premiership? Doyle played for Reading where he scored more goals than Shane Long in less appearances, they would have been playing with the same players around them. So playing at the same level, Doyle is a better player. At West Brom they have a far better all round team than us, so it's no wonder Long has more opportunities to score. How do you think Long would have done for us in the Premiership? I know Doyle, had he been playing for WBA, would have scored more goals than for us because the general play is of a higher quality, as are the players. In short, Doyle is a better player.

Celtic have accepted a five million pound bid for Gary Hooper, so it looks like Doyle is heading North of the border.

Think you'll find Albion play in the English Premier League. The team the original poster was referring to as the team who can't be named.

Shane Long was 19 when Reading were in the Premier League so that arguement doesn't really stand. If we are talking about the here and now:

Long is above Doyle in the ROI team.
He plays for a Premier League team and scored as many goals in the Prem as Doyle did in the Championship.
If you ask both sets of fans who they would want, I predict the majority would say Long.

Now I'm feeling dirty for praising an Albion player but I needed to prove the point.

My point was more aimed at feeling a little unnerved by the prospect of someone I have sung the name of in public (repeatedly) catching the tram down the road than Doyler's abilities.

Although now Hooper's on his way, he'll sign for Celtic without a doubt.

And I wish him well

I agree I wish Doyler all the best when he leaves, Paul Tamworth

Long played till what? 24? Two or three good years of football. Their paths crossed at Reading while Long was of a good age to play, but Doyle got picked over him? A 'great' player of age 23-4 in the championship would be a 1st team no? But still, Doyle is picked over him. And of course WBA fans would rather have Long, they don't see Doyler play and would just consider him a Championship player. Not to mention Doyle has had to carry the team in some games and even seasons, has Long? No. Doyle is a good leader, great player. Long is another 'star kid' who will
Never make it as top player.

A striker who scores 9 goals in 42 Championship games is brave calling himself a 'championship striker'

I share your hatrid of any player wearing that Tesco carrier bag top. But sometimes you need to see sense when the answer is so clear.

26 years old makes him a reletively old 'star kid' and the fact he plays in the Premier League for a team that finished top half probably means he has made it.

Why people praise long is beyond me, pretty average striker, no better than doyle, in fact at his peak doyle was by far the better player. long has had one good season in the championship. should be scoring more than 8 league goals in that west brom team.

I would like to see how many goals Long could score at age 28-9 in the premier league with the standard of team we had at that time.
