ive also heard were after pogatetz. Think that he would be a good defensive target if true.

ED does boukari fit the description of the player who was supposedly at the mount hotel with two scottish agents?

Also do you think margueritta will play tomorrow? {Ed011's Note - I heard us linked with Pogatetz, haven't heard about the Scottish agents and Boukari at the Mount but it sounds like a Poirot case about to take place and Margreitter isn't playing and won't be in the squad.

Pogatetz only joined wolfsburg about a month ago from hannover

Pogatetz is not true he only signed for wolfburg in June

Really? Pogatetz only signed for Wolfsburg in June....

Just had a look at Emanuel Pogatetz wiki page his nickname is mad dgo lol , then on the same search in the images he has blood pumping out of his head and does not seem too bothered.Sounds and looks like a good'un to me.
Gibo.

He won't play today (Sat) since he's gone home after is medical and signing. Will be available for next match

Pogatetz has signed for the Wolves in Germany...

Given an earlier observation of mine about the level of effort required by players, it is interesting to note Steve McClaren's assessment of Emanuel Pogatetz. While managing him at Middlesbrough, McClaren's stated that EP never gave less 300% in performance. Now, that's the sort of shift we demand! Of course, in the SS era we require skill too.

Pogatetz is a good/tough (sometimes recklessly!) defender, but he's only just been signed (July) for Wolfsburg. I can't see him being released unless we offer some silly money...

Is he more 'reckless' than Kevin Muscat was?

At Christmas Muscat got more cards from the referees than from friends and family! To use him as a benchmark for recklessness probably isn't appropriate!

it amazes me how quick fletcher and jarvis updated their twitter acounts! & wolves need to buy really unhappy premire leauge players!, not all cheap ones we've never heard of! {Ed011's Note - The cheap one's Solbakken's signed seem to be class to me! And the unhappy prem ones are uber overpriced!!

To be fair, Jarvo has shown a little more class. Anyway, onwards and upwards. Im feeling good about this season.

Newark Wolf.

Why did it amaze you?

What do you think they should have done then? Left it a week?

Would that have made you less bitter and twisted?

Hammil to Forest to complete your agony!!

24 Aug 2012 22:31:17
What's going on with Christian Bolanos Ed? {Ed011's Note - Some people saying he could be signed within 48 hours according to unattributed foreign media outlets, others saying we're just looking at him.

Any news on Claudemir ed or was it just speculation. {Ed011's Note - Seems like it's just rumours at the moment but with our tight lipped club who knows? No one had really mentioned Margreitter's name until the "Margreitter signs for Wolves" headlines.

True, apart from that taxi driver of course. {Ed011's Note - True.

24 Aug 2012 22:21:45
Stale Solbakken is looking at the following players with the transfer budget:

Bibras Natkho
Dame N'Doye
Mohammed Fellah
Emmanuel Pogatetz
Christian Bolanos
Razak Boukari
James Chester

Bibras natkho is class

Dame N'Doyle is class too :)

N'Doye might be class be he's just joined Lokomotiv Moscow so were not going to approach him are we.

N'doye on loan perhaps??

Wolves were atually looking at N'Doye

James chester looks a little out of place there lol.

24 Aug 2012 19:49:46
would be interesting to see if matt ritchie is in swindon's squad tomorrow

He was decent in league 2! Wolves are a big club. Lets go for someone like tom ince.

Wolves today denied any interest

Highly unlikely we'll go for Matt Philips. Blackpool have just refused a 5 million bid from Southampton. So it looks like it will take silly money 2 get him..

Why should Tom Ince come to Wolves, he already plays for a better team.

24 Aug 2012 19:47:46
Marcello Gazzola will be announced on monday, will be at the game tomorrow!

Hes only just signed for a team in serie b

He's been as Sassuolo since January. Battle hardened FB in second tier in Italy, but has been around lots and lots of clubs. However, in Stale we trust!

24 Aug 2012 22:10:29
Is this from that guy on twitter, who set his account up yesterday, and has only tweeted about one thing, that one thing being Marcello Gazzola? I don't believe him but we'll see.

24 Aug 2012 18:45:23
what position does jakobsson play n anyone no anything about him

{Ed011's Note - All I know is that he's a 17 year old Swedish Midfielder and a prospect for the future but Truls Månsson, Chairman of the Swedish Wolves Supporters Club has described him as the following in an article in the Birmingham Mail:

"Tim Jakobsson is very unknown in Sweden, he is only 17 years old, and he doesn't play in our top division, actually nowhere near.

"He plays for IK Frej, a team in the Swedish Div 1 (Third division), the reason that he is in England is that IK Frej loaned two players from Hull City last season. When one from the Hull City training staff went to see them in Sweden he spotted Tim and flew him over to England where Tim trained one week for Leicester City and one week for Hull City.

"Nick Barmby (Hull City) wanted him but was sacked and the new manager Steve Bruce was not interested, which was a letdown for Tim since he had everything ready for a contract with Barmby's Hull.

"But, luckily, when Tim played a match for Hull City, Wolves scouts where watching and when they heard Tim didn't get a contract they invited him to Wolves, and they obviously liked him.

"Tim has attracted English clubs before, he was in Leicester when he was 14-years-old and he has also been linked with Stoke about two years ago, so he is obviously very talented.

Tim is a midfielder and very positive, happy, good attitude, always smiling. He started as a youth player in IF Brommapojkarna which is Sweden's most famous nursing club for talents, remember Anders Limpar (Arsenal)?

"Tim is no star here yet, almost completely unknown, but at only 17 of course very talented.

"In interviews it's obvious that he made up his mind early to be a professional football player. He quit school before the 17-19 years old level to really give football a chance, which is not normal in Sweden. So he is a typical "one for the future"

24 Aug 2012 17:15:36
Wolves sign Tim Jakobsson, moxeys pushing the longboat out

New chant; 'Vikings...Vikings!'

Solbakkens viking army !

24 Aug 2012 17:14:34
SteveBullStand - Wolves have signed sweden youngster Tim Jakobsson on a 2 year deal from IK Frej for an Undisclosed fee

Moxey did say he is going to get new players in

Buying 17 year old i though dave jones was back

SSN: WOLVES SNARE 17 YEAR OLD SWEDISH STARLET, TIM JACOBBSEN

I can't believe the Dave Jones comment...rap over the knuckles for whoever is filtering these posts! {Ed011's Note - My bad. Although I'd rather you told him off as well as me! It wasn't my comment!

Fair enough ed! Point taken. Must be hard to keep up with amount of positive activity anyway at the moment! {Ed011's Note - To be honest I'm just glad to not have another day of hundreds of "Reports that Fletcher and Jarvis deals are close to being done". Onwards and upwards!! Come on you Wolves!

Sorry, it was in bad taste, but still made me chuckle while writing it lol

Development team comes to mind...

I bet this kid will be loaned straight out?

24 Aug 2012 16:56:36
from estadio deportivo source wolves have had 3m bid for 21 year old left back Antonio Luna rejected

SteveBullStand - It's not on that site i've tried it.

24 Aug 2012 16:50:10
everton are after doyle and ward THE MAIL.moxey no doubt will want 15m plus for the pair lol.one robbing b-----d theres only one robbing b-----d {Ed011's Note - I think you mean £15m each? Moxey at his best!

Sorry ed yeh 15m each with add ons.moxey unreal

Daily Mail. More like Daily Fail.

I would give these players away or bogof {Ed011's Note - I think they'll both be decent in the quality, either Solbakken will make Ward a better player or bring in better and he'll bring the best out of Doyle.

24 Aug 2012 16:44:38
Claudemir de Souza next up 5mil

This bloke looks superb

Really hope so, and well done Jez!!:)

Did you look into this move ed any Enlightenment. So hope this is true plus just seen the moxey interveiw 1 or 2 player being worked on and in the pipeline. {Ed011's Note - The rumour is certainly gathering pace.

This is one rumour i'd actually get excited about

Poxey is a lier {Ed011's Note - Lol whut?

24 Aug 2012 16:14:38
Anything happening with Berra or doesn't any other club want him?

Do you blame them for not ! He is worst defender wolves have had in years, can you name any worse defenders than him ? I remember John Holsgrove he was awful .

John holsgrove sheer class, now what about derek jefferson

He played well the other night. Would rather have him than Steraman.

AW

Neill Collins

Elokobi, stearman

Derek Jefferson

Yea STEARMAN

I always liked Neill Collins. He really did try.

Knowing that Wolves will be happy to let Berra go clubs will wait until as late as possible to get Berra on the cheap.
I think the clubs who have played against him will value him higher than a lot of the fans. {Ed011's Note - I think by playing him we've shown that if he has to stay he will stay and we'll play him if we need to and the fans didn't particularly show that they angry at him against Barnsley. In that respect I think we should still hold out for our valuation of him.

Given his qualities, the favourites should be Heriots or Hawick

Anyone remember simon coleman

Eric Young

Nobody remember the clown Gallagher we signed from Brum complete waste of £500,000

Bryan law. Anyone remember him? Nicked a bus n crashed it! Lol.

Kevin Muscat ! The dirtiest player on the planet.

Wasnt it kevin ashley

24 Aug 2012 16:03:20
Exciting times ahead with new players coming in! I don't care what anyone else thinks, but as ex-wolves players I will be wishing Jarvis, Fletcher and Kightly well and hope they do well at their new clubs. Anyone who says they hope Fletcher or Kightly do poorly and get injured are not real fans of football!

Load of crap the price they get paid and they still cant be loyal they dont deserve praise {Ed011's Note - Well now they're getting paid at least double on a more prestigious stage. They've gone, we got plenty of money for them, move on.

How can you say that if u dont wish them well they arent fans! Terrible comment

I wish them all well. Infact I have signed all 3 in my Fantasy Football team so need them to do well. {Ed011's Note - Someone's brave.

Football fans put the football first and don't care bout personalities etc. Players come, players go. Always have always will. That's a good thing, no?

But if anyone would rather turn the transfer market into a soap opera - well, they probably watch too much TV.

Jefferson and recently Elokobi. Berra's not great, but has some solid spells (not enough to think we can't get better mind!). As a kid I can also remember Bernard Shaw kicking a few people and giving away some pens too!

We need to focus on the new manager, the emerging team and the future. I speak to my lad about the new players, how strong and effective Stale will be for us and what we need to do to make promotion a reality.

To #3 - it didn't say you had to wish them well. ...if you read the comment properly it says if you wish them ill (ie an injury) then you aren't a fan of football

24 Aug 2012 15:44:15
Personally I'd have Robbie Brady to replace Jarvis. The main reason being the age he's 20/21 so is still very young and has masses of ability and potential to be much better than Jarvis. With regards to Christian Bolanos as much as he looks and amazing technically gifted winger it's his age that puts me off especially being a winger.

Legs will be gone in 3 or 4 seasons.

What 28? hardly old is it considering giggs is 10 years older than him n still going we might go for both of em considering were not exactly over run with wingers good on1s i mean

Yeah but giggs plays less of a wide position and more centrally nowadays anyway, which by the look of Bolanos he could do the same too.

24 Aug 2012 15:24:40
a song for jez to be sung tomorrow at the derby game, one robbing ba---rd theres only one robbing ba---d for the sale of fletcher and jarvis well done stuck to his guns saying there not going on the cheap.

I think it's great business getting £24m for them Fletch was worth £12m and Jarvis i'd say £8. Think Moxey's done well and they've said that the moneys going towards further transfers which is good. I know it sounds like he's saying it cause theirs little time left. We've also spent £2m of that on a new CB plus we'll get Bolanos for £3m.

Wolves chief executive Jez Moxey this afternoon vowed to invest in players quickly from the £24m sales of Steven Fletcher and Matt Jarvis after admitting the team was "exposed".

hope he sticks to his word and we bring in some quality to get us up into the big time

TDW

I reckon Uncles Jez and Steve now realize they have to invest in quality players to get us out of the championship and know we need to build a team to keep us in the premier league.I genuinely believe Uncle Jez's comments. The G&S also saying we are closing in on a left winger.

Gibo.

Hot off the press - Reporter to Moxey " When can you expect the next signing to come in "

Moxey " Well were tieing up a deal now as you speak so if you let me leave this interview I can get back to it "

Gibo.

Any idea who it is I reckon Brady. Hopefully claudemir longshot.

Isn't it the Swedish youngster, Jakobsson?

Dont forget jez is a lying b****** he said that last year {Ed011's Note - Forget last year! Try being optimistic for once!

24 Aug 2012 13:49:36
Hunty has been transfer listed according to Tim Nash.

We could afford to let him go on a free tbf. he did hit that goal worth 80m

TDW

I personally think it's time for Hunt to go i like him but he's a bit past it now. I don't understand why people think Hunt kept us up the season before last we lost to Blackburn 3-2 and we stayed up because we had 1 point goal difference had nothing to do with it. But tbf it was a very good goal.

TWOLF

He can't make the starting lineup so he might as well go while the rest of the football world still remembers his name.

24 Aug 2012 13:28:31
Wolves closing in on the signing of Claudemir de Souza for £5 million from FC Copenhagen. Expected to be completed within the next week.

Yessss yes yes hope this is true ed is it. {Ed011's Note - Looking into it.

He is awesome! Where's that come from? Really can't see us getting him! SS has said in the past that this guy is the best signing he ever made! He has made team of the week a number of times in the Champions League!

Might be a problem with a work permit though!

Agree that there may be some work permit issues. Having never been capped by Brazil it will depend on if he's got a European passport.

I'm guessing he's got a portuguese passport so work permit may not be an issue. I've got a mate who is an agent to a lot of players based in Scandinavia. I'm seeing him tomorrow so will ask him if he knows anything. I'll post anything I find out on Sunday. He was talking a few weeks back about Wolves looking at a lot of American players but the work permits were an issue then.
Armitage Cow (not an insider or contact of estate agent or an ill informed vicar)

How come ? does it stem from when LFC wanted him ? Milijas got a work permit with a drink driving offence.I'm lost on the work permit side of things.
Gibo. {Ed011's Note - There were no problems with Peszko too despite his whimsical-drunken-taxi-driver-attacking-adventures.

Work permits are granted if the player is playing international football

peszko didnt need a work permit as poland is inside the eu

Poland is in the EU therefore no need for a permit.

Is he any different to Doumbia? I can't see where he'd fit in.

But Peszko is entitled to work in the E.U because he is Polish and does not have a criminal conviction. So why are foreign players not allowed work permits to play football ? what is the criteria ?
Gibo.

They must have played 75% of national teams games with last year at any level ie u21 u19 or main team etc....

Yes that's why clubs always seem to sign international players from minor footballing nations. (Like we did from Algeria).

24 Aug 2012 13:07:28
All done and dusted now with both fletcher and jarvis, buy buy buy !!

We have got the centre back we need

If Fletcher has signed a four year deal does that mean Sunderland are doomed to relegation within two years so that he can move on again, Has he ever completed one at any of his previous clubs.

Smartly done by moxey, confirming the signing of a much needed cb the same day they it was confirmed out two best players leave us

Why didnt poxey get a centre back last year moron

24 Aug 2012 13:07:04
We have signed Georg Margreitter , confirmed by Wolves.

Gibo.

Wolves have completed the signing of highly-rated 23-year-old Austrian central defender Georg Margreitter from FK Austria Wien.
The Austrian Under-21 international has put pen to paper on a four year contract after completing a medical and agreeing terms to move to Molineux.
Margreitter has been capped 11 times at Austrian Under-21 level, scoring three goals, and is regarded as one of the most highly-rated young players in his country.

Does anyone know if he's really any good? (Recalling the last Austrian we had beginning with M).

24 Aug 2012 13:05:38
{Ed011's Note - Sunderland Official website says Fletcher has signed for undisclosed fee. Job done, Fletch and Jarv out, £24m pocketed, I say put about £15-£17m back into players over the next few transfer windows. Would love us to sign one major signing for about £7m then the rest not as expensive like with the rest like we already have been doing with Margreitter, BBS, Peszko and Doumbia.

Cant see us spending more than £3m on a player when in this division. The £2.4m on BBS is a significant amount of money for a Championship club remember.

Poxey wont spend a lot of cash {Ed011's Note - I don't want him to overspend. Some of the money will go towards running the club that's inevitable.

24 Aug 2012 13:05:17
fletch deal done. get it lets bring in some new faces

TDW

24 Aug 2012 12:47:04
We've signed a cheese and tomatoe pizza margeritta - source: official wolves site

Don't let seb near it

Why are you calling ebanks blake fat? he has lost alot of weight and looks alot faster..

24 Aug 2012 12:39:13
Wolves have completed the signing of highly-rated 23-year-old Austrian central defender Georg Margreitter from FK Austria Wien. From Wolves web site.
alby8

Status quo did a song a about margaretta

24 Aug 2012 12:28:03
Margreitter has signed

24 Aug 2012 12:20:36
another undisclosed fee can someone explain why we're the only club that does this with every transfer

That have got to be hiding something

Reason is moxey is a person

We was one of the first club to use undisclosed fee's but now its the norm mate

Mills wolf

We use the undisclosed fee thing because a few years ago we were seen as a soft touch in the transfer market. if a team put a player on the transfer list they would hope that wolves or man utd would come in for them. its not a bad thing if you ask me. :-)

Very few teams disclose the fees they have paid or they have received. person !

Because this isn't Football Manager.

24 Aug 2012 12:20:05
CONFIRMED!! Georg Margreitter signs 4 year deal!!

Who's the dim wit who keeps marking the disagree box on things that are FACT!? Aint you got nothing better 2 do? Gota be a bags fan.

24 Aug 2012 12:19:01
It's on the wolves website that we have signed georg margreitter on a 4 year deal

24 Aug 2012 12:01:02
jarvis signed for west ham worth 10.75m on a five year contract! good luck jarvo from most wolves fans, there is always one that is going to be bitter about it

Yes good luck jarvo unlike kightly you showed some class.

Yes and Im one of them as another leaves the sinking ship. Not impressed with the players we have been linked with to replace him either.Moxey youve let us down again. {Ed011's Note - Not impressed?? When we signed Jarvo and Kites they were two unheard of players who weren't expensive. The club will maintain it's spending policy regardless of manager. I for one have been extremely impressed with Solbakken's signings so far I'd rather we kept signing players from abroad I hadn't heard of and some turn out to be world class than the best overpriced players from the championship or from relegated teams. How has Moxey let us down too?!? He got £10.75m for Jarvis, £14m for Fletcher and £3m for Kightly who only had a year left on his contract! Did you want £20m for each?

Jarvo, have you done the right thing, West Ham one of the favorites to go down, if that happens, another transfer request?

Good luck Jarvis unlike Fletcher you carried on playing for us until you moved.

24 Aug 2012 09:20:14
Boukari in talks with us right midfielder

Hope so , things are starting to look up.In Stale we trust.
Gibo.

Think we've got enough cover on the right.. Im more concerned with whose gona play on the LEFT now?

Pezko can play either side. Given the choice he prefers playing down the left.

Boukari isnt the answer im sorry to say.
I live in Lille having married a french woman and have seen him play many times. Not fit to lace Jarvis`s boots. What are we playing at trying to sign this guy oh dear!

24 Aug 2012 09:06:55
Georg Margreitter already having a medical at Wolves, should be signed by the end of today.

{Ed011's Note - Just looking about and it seems like he was linked with West Ham and Norwich too according to German and Austrian media in the last 20 hours but it seems we were the preferred destination or they lost interest with Norwich signing Bassong.

Also Austria Vienna’s sports director Thomas has said: “Georg has never made a secret of the fact England is his absolute football dreamland. We wish him the opportunity which it may offer now and don’t want to obstruct him.”

Lets all have a margarita,Lets all have a margarita, la la LAAA la. kinda writes itself =)

Ed is he left footed? Need balance with RJ right side. {Ed011's Note - Don't think he is but not certain to be honest.

Let's hope he is better than our last Austrian signing.

Norwich have ended up paying 4 million for Bassong so its not just Wolves who get value for money

Well he certanly cant be any worse than the neck can he ? haha

Mills wolf

Heeeeeeey margarita ! ( to the tune of the macarena) thought id toss that one up in the air to see how it flys...! lol

Google translation Margarita = sicknote

He is a right footed centre back!

Does he have pace?

24 Aug 2012 09:03:55
Wolves were today closing in on the signing of £2m-rated Austria Vienna
centre-back Georg Margreitter as the club starts to spend the £24m war chest
from the expected sales of Steven Fletcher and Matt Jarvis. Boss Stale Solbakken is keen to rebuild with the exit of Fletcher and Jarvis, due to
be completed today, netting up to £24m. He also wants a winger, with FC Copenhagen™s £3m-rated Christian Bolanos and Manchester
United™s Robbie Brady, who would cost £1.2m, among those on the radar, along with others from
northern Africa. Commanding 23-year-old stopper Margreitter, who has a year left on his contract, flew to
England yesterday with his agent after being given permission by Vienna to start talks. Wolves, who confirmed they are trying to conclude a deal for the defender, watched the 11-
capped Austria Under-21 international impress during their 1-0 win at SV Ried on Sunday and
acted quickly on the move.

24 aug 2012 08:59:13
the guess and stir (copyright mills wolf) are saying we are closing in on austrian defender georg margreitter , it is also saying he flew in for talks yesterday so the taxi driver source from yesterday seems to be right.it is also saying we are after robbie brady & christian bolanos (old news) but the g&s have distanced wolves from matt ritchie.

gibo.

Wouldnt surprise me if the Guess & Stir get there info off here. lol

But its nice to see us moving for player right away instead of messing around last minuite.

Judging on what ive read over the recent weeks online all the players these foriegn player that were being linked with are pretty good. Nice to see the Solbakken Effect (copyright ed 011) in full swing.

Mills wolf

p.s

You not from Rugeley are ya gibo ? got a mate from there who shares the same name and supports wolves too.

24 Aug 2012 07:51:34
Not a rumour but what about David tempelton (spelling) from hearts looked impressive last night vs Liverpool anyone watched him or no anything about him

He look pretty good and id like to seewhat he cud do in a wolves shirt

NO MORE HEARTS PLAYERS PLEASE! We got 2 ex-Hearts already who are crap! Come on lets face it. Liverpool aint very good at the moment? and it was an own goal tht won them the game last night.

Scottish league. LEAGUE 1 standard

24 Aug 2012 06:15:38
Here is what the daily mail have to say - Wolves hope to sign Bolanos after Copenhagen's Champions League qualifier next week.
The Championship club are also showing interest in Manchester United winger Robbie Brady, 20, and are in talks over a deal for Rennes winger Razak Boukari, 25.

Gibo.

24 Aug 2012 05:56:09
West Brom and Everton are battling it out to sign FC Copenhagen left-back Bryan Oviedo, 22.If he is on our radar the sh*t or the toffees could scurpur the deal , though the Solbakken effect could have a part to play.

Gibo.

Let's be honest, he will probably favour Premiership, so as long as chooses Everton...

I can't see him choosing Everton with them having Baines and his game time would be limited.

So let's hope Wolves get him eh ?

23 Aug 2012 23:36:42
While were all talking about who we are going to sign and how much profit we have made, we haven't sold Fletch and Jarvis yet there could still be a snag. I'm not happy until it's 100% confirmed and their holding their new shirts until then they still belong to us and the money is theirs.

Jarvis is now holding up a west ham shirt! happy?
