Owen Coyle's second interview is tomorrow and then McClaren's is Friday, but Davis and Coyle are the clear favourites for the job.

The Saint.

Jackett's second interview is tomorrow as well.

Davis odds on Coyle 20/1 so don't see how they both clear favourites

Coyle won't get it he would want to bring to many back room staff. It's IMO out of McClaren, Jackett or Davis? Just hope whoever gets it, has a backbone and isn't a yes man to the 2M's! Paul Tamworth

Odds are based on what people have bet on not from inside gossip

They are bookmakers odds. Bookmakers do not make the final decision.

The Saint.

From what I have been told jackett should still get the job got a second interview and would seem strange that he left millwall for the wolves job then doesn't get it he was sounded out by wolves the only way he won't get to be manager will be due to money or wolves not wanting to pay too much compo
Sr

Contrary to what Millwall are saying, KJ didn't leave Millwall for Wolves, it's purely a coincidence.

Most fans clearly want Davies or coyle so I'm not sure why they'd make this appointment but we shall see scary nervous times but let's hope they get this one right

What were the odds on Solbakken 5 days before he got the job? He wasn't even in the running.

Kenny jackett was approached by wolves before he resigned that's what I found out doesn't mean he's 100% certain but why resign for millwall that last bit is true he applied for job just 2 hours after resigning fact
Sr

Davis not even been asked about the wolves job unless he's covering it up interesting bookies giving false odds again to cover who the real manager is going to be

Hammill off to Barnsley, permanent deal agreed, and all before we even have a new manager (Due to wages)

I don't know why you all keep gojng in about a manager thewell is in charge of players being moved on and brought in the head coach not manager only has a say of yes or no to those players. So if players are being contacted and moved in its thewells choice. Bit I highly doubt they'll be organising this whilst interviewing people for head coach role

Some good news at last

The whole point of a 'head coach' is to take away the managers choice of player signings, this will be left to Thelwell and team. So to have players coming and going without a head coach in place is no surprise.

Iv got a question. why didn't thewell go for manager/coach job? If he's signing players an making first team decisions, its because he's a coach/scout who wil assist manager where needed to bridge gap between manag an board/chief ed siewolf

Don't think the head coach job was ever on offer to Thelwell, though he did do the job for a short while at Derby when Davies left. Its about playing to strengths and he clearly has the ability to take the longer term view and that is in short supply. Could be a brilliant partnership but it will only work if the coach is flexible enough. Maybe some of the more experienced managers are too set in their ways.

Don't know the answer to that, Siewolf. But I rockon a number of managers wouldn't like the responsibility for transfers handed out to someone else.

I agree mcwolf no way could u see sir alex or jose or even bill who runs our local pub side allow sumone ele tel them whos bein brought an who they gota play? It baffles me it honestly does

I didn't think it works like that! I thought thellwell would get a list of possible signings and then the head coach would decide out of the list or something like that!

Maddswolves

It's probably not as well defined as we might think. Either way, I can see the day when either Thelwell or the new manager/coach says "it's either him or me".

I think your spot on mate its inevitable at sum point

Wolves in the hunt for full backs Ryan Valentine and Rhys Weston.

Weston would struggle in League 1 like he did with us 10 years ago. Wolves must bring in far better players than him such as Kevin McNaughton or maybe Craig Conway or Tommy Smith from us.

Redbird

Not Rhys Weston from many yrs ago in Wales?

How do u knw this an who is after them as no gaff in place? why buy players then get boss in seems pointless as he might not even use them siewolf

That's Kevin Thelwell's job.

Redbird- My brother lives in Splott and is a "Bluebirds" STH. He used to get constant ribbing from me for Cardiff constantly taking our hand-me-downs.

How times have changed eh?
