With Bradford going through to the final any talk of getting Nahki Wells is well and truly muted !

More chance of getting Paul Lambert.

Can lambert play at left back? if so weel av im

Could sign him and loan him back for a month!

22 Jan 2013 20:55:08
Dean Saunders and Tony Daley both at Villa Park tonight.

Probably watching wells

Both reminiscing to their glory days ?

Gibo.

Deanos moonlighting, make his wages up! Paul Tamworth

Both was hoping to be picked

Dont think we will get wells now bradford in final!

Deano gutted Bradford won you can see it, would take their front two over ours.

No secret - he's a pundit on tv

Wells didn't do anything tonight
He's not ready to step up yet
And we need players who can come in
And make an impact straight away
Djwolf

Why the hell do you think someone from division 2 is better than what we have?

Where did kightley come from?

There number 9 is an old fashioned forward, something we aren't had since bully.... Crying out for a pair like them two up front for bradford tonight.

Doyle and seb are a terrible combo

Not much impressed by Dean as a pundit. Tactical insight appears to be limited in the extreme

Better than what we've got? 2 Forwards who can't score? 2 goals, 6 games? Sorry but they can't be worse. Sell them, get a couple of unknowns in, who couldn't do any worse and then money in pocket. Why do people keep defending our strikeforce.. They are tosh. Tosh in the prem, and tosh now. Our problem has always been goals, WE CANT SCORE. I can hardly rememebr a goal from open play in the prem... I hate the "OOOO Doyle he works so hard" Yeh well he's a striker not scoring goals and doing his job. If our midfield were better we wouldn't need him "Working so hard" and doing their jobs, However he's been given that oppertunity in this division and he's shocking. Blake, ooo big top scorer blake, Big fat top scorer blake who is 13 goals behind the top striker in the championship. That is naff.

I think that Blake needs a partner and I think Doyle is not the answer!

Blake will score goals but a) midfield need to be more creative b) he needs a new partner

Doyle needs to go....he believes all the hype MM created for him and he is nothing more than a championship also ran!

This 'Where did Kightly come from' remark is quite annoying. He is a one off, I have never seen a player step out of non-league football straight into the championship and look class from day one.

As for Jarvis, it took him a good few years to reach his peak and a lot of hard work.

Therefore, Wells won't be this saviour we have been hoping for. He is an average goalscorer in league 2. Everybody raving about him on here has watched him 3, maybe 4 times this year (all in the Capital One Cup)
See the bigger picture.

Spot on about our strikers 2 in 6 terrible give siggy a go up front agst blackpool paid enough for him for this division get new striker to play with him or stick with cassidy if you think he is good enough can't keep waiting for these young players to come through move them on if you think they are no good kept that much rubbish over the years on good wages that they don't want to play for the club they just want to pick there wages up

22 Jan 2013 20:24:41
If they did save their money quite selfishly and we didn't get an LB, does Elokobi rate well of Ward with you guys?

No Jamie reckord is the best left back at the club, natural left foot defensively minded, elokobi and ward are playing well above the level they for sure are not going to get better reckord might, give him a chance.

Did no good at Coventry, they were pleased to let him go!

No changed manager who wanted experience over youth, he did well at cov.

Jamie Reckord is not ready lol

I'd play big George every day, I think he offers more in the Championship.

Ian C

Mates a cov tv ticket holder and in his words 'that left back we got from you is s##t and been dropped'

Big George is USELESS! I've seen better LBs watching my local village side. George has no control, no pace and just hoofs it up the park. DS needs to GET RID!

A blue nose friend as said that the talk at the blues game last Saturday was that king was on the way to the wolves for free and Davis for 1.75m

Day know what I've got two good insiders at wolves, neither have given me a transfer rumour because they are not privy to that info. I can tell you bout player power, dressing room bust ups, want away players, big egos but incoming transfers not a clue, neither has anyone else unless they are personally involved, so unless its an agent a player or the man signing the cheque its speculation or rumours.craig Dawson will sign for wolves Berra will go to Wigan.sebestian Coates will sign for tesco town.

Day know what you know nothing

Day know what I'm, takin the pee.wise up.the realist.

Would love to see Curtis Davies down at the Mol! Him and Johnson would make a superb pairing; Johnson the hard man and Curtis with the bit of pace and footballing know-how that we need from the back!

22 Jan 2013 18:08:23
Wolves are after walsall striker Grigg.

Doesn't score many in League One. Great.

If DS starts to rebuild with squad with young/hungry strikers like Wells or Griggs then I'll be happy. Jason Scotland/Marlon King and I'll be ringing the Samaritans...

Ebanks was getting excited - he thought you said Greggs

Moxey said he was off for more pies from Greggs and some journalist misheard...

Due to increase in gregs pies moxey as put any transfer kitty on hold for january

22 Jan 2013 17:41:31
Wolves have been involved in some very serious talk about signing Nakih Wells. Hope it is true!!:-)

All talk and no action ....springs to mind ...

He'll be wanting his trip to Wembley so nothing doing I'm afraid.

22 Jan 2013 17:21:01
im getting a bit confused here were after a striker correct me if i'm wrong that's what siggy was brought for we need two wide men so we've got pesco spell and sako recently signed they seem to me to be good players we need a left back on which ds agrees with the players we've got plus the injured players returning if were organized tactically to suit each opponents why can't we make a late run plus rj is in form ikeme is sound defend from the front is the key I know ill get sarcy remarks regarding my optimism but it aren't rocket science PS give ds a chance

Yes that's why we signed Siggy. We wanted a centre back and we signed Margritter. Now, why aren't these guys playing? They are at least as good as many of the names I've been reading on this board.

We need an aerial threat, we never replaced Fletch

Would like to see curtis at the wolves with roger johnson could get a bargain there with the position bham are in

22 Jan 2013 16:48:38
there is allot of rumours going round on this site about sako and stale men going !

i really hope this isn't true I think sakos good and will only get better with time, same with tongo and sigurdarson and pezsko if he keeps performin well and they all get a bit fitter and stronger to adapti think there brilliant players for are team

i have yet to see boukari but apparently he's good very pacey and strong bit like sako. as for margrietter (cb) why we have signed a young cb wen we have danny batth I do not now specially one whos injured all the time!

but the rest I hope they stay and I hope we play better football than we did last saturday to keep them intrested

i really think we should have asked stale to do thelwells job and bring in more young hungry players as well as foreign gems like sako etc

If any of them leave wolves to go back abroad then its unlikley they will get another chance in england so I doubt they will, pezsko said he was keen to stay beyond his loan and its wolves decsion to keep him after may so hpefully we ll sign him

I think peszko is suited to english football, he's quick and has a good work ethic, and isn't frightened of physicality, reminds me of a more direct hunt on the ball with a load more pace. the others will be squaddies bar margrietter who I think will eave and we should get danny batth out on loan along with jamie tank as they are soaking up the wage bill and aren't good enough to be in the 1st 11 so get them playing and improving. we need a lb desperately and I think he'll buy one striker and move sako up top, meaning hunt will go lw and forde will go out on loan, this means the players competing for the rw position actually have something plausible to aim for instead of 4 players in front of them. plus sell, stearman jonnson zubar elokobi get mcarey out on loan get cassidy out on loan play hammil. I think that's the squad down by 8, more wages to play with plus allows people in who can bring quality to positions. too many players in positions where we are strong and not enough where we are weak, that's why tinkiering with them team shape and loan deals are necessary

A well worked and intelligent proposition my friend. I agree with some of it maybe most of it. Hunt is an unknown quantity now and I think Hammill's days are over. Dunno if Cassidy will go on loan again unless we sign another striker. And of course SEB or Doyle might leave. Hard to see a future for Forde so I expect he'll be off.

Let's see who comes in.

22 Jan 2013 16:38:55
So they want to leave it until late to get the players in eh ? Hmmm I'll tell you what will happen. Wolves' negotiation takes an age at the best of times so Wolves will put in offers well below the value of the player and will eke it out until the window closes and the fans will be told the story that we had offers in for a number of players but couldn't arrive at a deal. Therefore they didn't have to spend their money. See it all before, since Morgan arrived how many players have Wolves bought in January? I will check but I reckon no more than 5. Morgan and Moxey get the **** out of Wolves and sell it to someone who actually has ambition for the club and not what side deals they can get out of it.

Prices in jan are always high and that's way we ve gone for loan in the past but morgan came in and spent money on ebanks blake in jan so I think its more we ve got a high wage bill that can't last beyond one season in the chamoionship so as we clearly want get promtoed we need to cut it, and lets face there not many players i'm keen on keeping anyway so i'm quite happy we re moving them on so players will have to leave before we sign anyone and saunders still needs time to asses the squad

Good second post, if we get more of the kids out on loan like batth forde margrietter cassidy and the like and sell the likes of stearman zubar jonnson and elokobi then we have room for quality with higher wages look at west brom they have depth of quality but at a similar level so if morrison gets injured there is gera or dorrans to come in. we have a lot of players who don't offer us anything in the 1st team yet are still payed 1st team wages. i'd keep hunt I think he is a decent player for this level

Margrietter isn't a kid, he's 24, I was surprised he wasn't first team. I think he was supposed to be but Johnson and Berra have been pretty solid. He'll be sold next season.

Same old story sighn ch don't play them can somebody tell me why we keep making same mistakes

22 Jan 2013 15:51:54
Guess what I've heard wolves are close to signing Nakih Wells from Bradford on a £500,000 transfer fee

Good signin, young and hungry! Hope it happens! Paul Tamworth

Would be absolutely delighted if that was true but have my doubts - fee closer to £1m for a start

Sell Flecther for £15m sign League 2 player for £500k.

Classic Morgan.

He has scored 13 goals in League 2. Hardly ripping it up. Our club is dying.

Think this will depend on the result tonight

Hope the Vile win tonight - We need some pace upfront

He will only leave if they get beat
Tonight
Djwolf

Id rather give cassidy a go as he's scored 11 goals in league one, if we do sign I forward we need one who can come in and lift the team I think this guys to young to lift the likes of doyle, foley ward...

Nakhi's going to Wembley (you can sing the rest).

22 Jan 2013 14:06:19
{Ed011's Note - Tim Nash has said that he has been told that Jason Scotland is not a target for Wolves.

Phew! tht's a relief.

Thank goodness for that, hope Tim is right !

Thank Jesus!

Gibo.

No that can't be true. What are all those Saunders detractors out going to do now??

22 Jan 2013 13:56:13
Sylvan Ebanks-Blake is in talks with Cardiff City for 2m Norwich have also made an enquiry about the hitman. Meanwhile Connor Wickham may move to Molineux on loan.

Why sell strikers! unless you can get better and that is not Wickham, nor King or Scotland -I would rather see Heskey!

Be surprised if Wickham came - see Clough's latest comments, they see him as a major part of their aet-up alongside Jamie Ward.

Haha obviously copied and paste, hitman ha

E-Banks for Holt . yes please.

Poxey would sell hiss granny

Thats connor sammon you muppet

22 Jan 2013 13:47:42
Marlon King will sign for Wolves on a free next week. Birmingham defender Jonathan Spector could also make the move from the second city to midland rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers. Bakary Sako has insisted his future is at Wolves, while Tongo Doumbia has picked up another injury. The Dexter Blackstock move is on hold. No transfer activity will happen until next week, once Jez and Dean have had a meeting. It is also said Dean wants to trim the squad before creating his own "balanced" squad.

I'm suprised we would sign King as he is 17k a week at the Brum, maybe we are shipping out 2/3 players to compensate. I think i'll be a good signing though.

Won't King be like Marcus Bent a couple of seasons ago? Never really used. Or will he be like Iwulemo and put some useful balls in the net?

Surely a regular starting striker up front with Bjorn or Doyle?

17k

o hara is on close to 40 along with johnson?

so we do pay decent wages for decent players

however I would not pay 17 pound a week to marlon king

no ambition or long term hope there

King is a very good player. However, he is a horrible person. Would hate to see him in a Wolves shirt, but he does score goals.

22 Jan 2013 13:27:45
So Moxey has told Saunders to reduce the wage bill, not surprising because McCarthy left Wolves with a huge number of mediocre players however this sounds like an end of window fire sale. Suspect those that go will be determined by who can be sold as opposed to who should stay for the good of the football team, it remains to be seen but fear the worst. What a shambles the club has become with one awful decision after another. I've been a supporter for 50 years through thick and thin but if I'm right I think it might be time to give up.

I've already given up. Fed up with the shambles that we're in. I'm never going to watch them ever again as things stand.

Dude if you've been a fan for 50 year then jesus christ this is nowhere near as bad as the 80's were. man up or do as you say and support someone else

So as a wolves fan for 50 years would you not like to see the club pay a bit extra for some quality rather than pay the wages of 50 professionals most of which arent good enough to be here?!Only 11 of these can start and 5 can be on bench each week! Surely we need a slight reality check, every business in the world has a budget. Wolves aren't saying let's cut our spend or never replace these players, they're saying cut the wages of the deadwood. Dave solihull

....I'd rather see a 25 man squad with good players who will get us up the league than 50 pros combined of rubbish, mercenaries and average players like hunt, mouyokolo and Johnson. I'd say making room for 50 pros in a club suggests our budget is high so for me the definitely do need to cut the wage bill.

Dave Solihull season ticket holder for 25 yrs

Don't call me jesus christ because I'm not but that coming might be a good idea.

Hunt and Johnson are still worth keeping. Mouyokolo yet to be proven.

I was so fed up with them in the 80's I emigrated.

We have to many players who are unmotivated, not good enough or players who simply need a knew challange, but I think our problem is that a lot of our players actually quite like wolves just like us so they don't want to leave, that's why I wouldn't critsize berra as he was clear that he wants a knew challange, its not his fault no one wants him, we ve just got to write this season off and try and let saunders bring in 11 players in the summer keep 11 and make the final 3 players with youngsters (not including davis though as he's already in the first team i'd quite like him to be in the 11 we keep)

Jesus is not bad at all he is our lord and saviour PRAISE THE LORD
DJwolf

Mouyokola margarita bera shackle zubar list of ch goes on when was the last best ch we had and how much did he cost how I forgot stearman as well them down the road sandwell town only paid 2million for olson & mcauley was free think we need to change we go about sighning players or sack those responsible for bringing these type of players in when you add egert johnson &nouble to them as well you wonder what's happening to this f.c.

Ludovic pollett can't remember how much though and ruined by dave jones when he bought that donkey butler

22 Jan 2013 09:14:55
Ex Stoke and Norwich midfielder Darrell Russell has joined wolves on a weeks trial.

Just reading Deano wants to sign at least one striker and a left back in this window! The futures Bright The Futures Deano!! Paul Tamworth

No he hasnt! He's still at Pompey!

LeeWolf

I just read that paul, it starts friday, out with the old in with the new jason wolves for life

There will be nothing happening until Friday.

If what I am reading is true, it will be out with the old and in with the older..... Unimpressed Stephenwolf74

DS seems to think Hunt is a right midfielder!?! Has Hunt even got a right foot??? Everyone said DS would brighten up Wolves with his jokes and banter.......now I understand why! We've employed a clown!

Will Hughes from Derby County & Luke Young QPR on the radar.....for January signings.....!

{Ed011's Note - We've got no chance of signing Will Hughes, they wouldn't sell him to Man City for £10million... because of that I question where you've seen or heard this rumour.

No chance of Will Hughes but worth looking at two other Derby players - Jeff Hendricks 20 year old centre midfield and forward Jamie Ward. Derby finances none too clever and have to sell before they can buy so might be tempted.

Will Hughes is on the radar of 10 Prem clubs and Barcelona have supposedly composed a dossier on him. It'd be more likely we'd sign Lee Hughes!
