Can't confirm anything so could well be total bs but heard 2 strikers (no names been mentioned yet- one alleged to be known ) on way to wolves 1 is foreign 1 is based in uk but playing hard to get his head gone at current club.

New to this site I live in Sheffield and a lot of work colleagues that support Sheffield Wednesday say that Steven fletcher won't be leaving so very much doubt he will come.

Joke and Fletcher are two words that go very well together. Flattered to deceive throughout his career and rarely delivered.
Totally different topic but there are good bargains still to be had in this window of mad prices. Mo Barrow from Swansea to Reading for £1.25 million looks like a steal, to me!

Someone over at our friends (ish) MOLMIX says we've took Ruben vinagre on a season long loan from Monaco. 20 year old left back. Arsenal wanted him last year. Sounds like the sort of player we are currently going for.

Vinagre will initially work between the first team and Under-23 groups as he settles in at Wolves in the build up to the new season.
So by the sound of things we will see him for the first team at somepoint next season.

Shame we don't have loads of quality strikers up front that know where the net is! I agree we need to build from the back to the front. However, our front is blunt and needs substantial change for us to seriously challenge what lays before us next season! I'll be happy when I see quality investment in this area. Goals win games. the defence has been overhauled and needed it. Now let's address the sharp end. We could do with an all out attacking midfielder while we are at it.

I agree attacking midfielder that can score a few I think we need 3 strikers as well getting a top class striker seems to b a problem I don't think there's any more players. Left in Portugal.

Nelson Oliviera (Norwich striker) will come this way and be the striker .
He is on Mendes' books and based on the signings so far from the camp of Mendes, it will follow.
Dont know much about him, other than he's had stints at Forest and Benfica as well.
Is he any good?

Greylegwolf what are you basing your opinion on? The Norwich fans think he's class and want to build a team round him, his goals per game in the championship is played 58, scored 20. But when broken down in to minutes played equates to 1 goal every 128 minutes, which is very good! Also watch his highlights, he scores with both feet and has a good long range shot on him too.

Chambers you've got to remember that some fans are in dreamland and think we'd be able to sign some top class striker for £20m from a foreign player. They forget there are players available in the championship that have already proven their worth here but because they play for Norwich and not Valencia, they disregard them.

I get that Greylegwolf and am not having a go. I just want to know how you formed that opinion. Is it because you have seen him lots, or been seduced by names like Aboubakar. Obviously there are other reasons, i just want to understand 😊.

reported on sky that sampdoria have made a 6 million pound bid for wilshere which could rise to 7.5. I think we should at least try and sign him for that price. Another player I think we should try and get is Callum Wilson as he's not had much game time due to injury and now with Defoe I doubt he will get much. Also a proven striker at this level.

Agreed! the wolf dog. Wilshere is worth a go for that price needs to reignite his career a little after being plagued by injuries. Whether he'd make the drop to the Champ though is arguably next to very unlikely but, who'd of thought a few months back Neves would have made the drop? Anything can happen in football as they keep saying. Think we do need another striker though.

If we won't pay negredo's wages we ain't going to pay wilshere's we should look for a couple of top championship players now to compliment what we have a prolific goal scorer from anywhere will do in with that as well.

Wilshere is not worth pursuing-SIMPLE! Too injury prone why waste funds?
Olivera fans will rate him I think he's attitude and work rate is questionable.
I see 2-3 signings either two strikers and one attacking midfielder.
Two attacking midfielders and striker.
Or a midfielder, striker and attacking midfielder.
Obviously not ITK but that's what I see.

His strike rate averages 1:3, that would equate to 16 in a season, surely not bad. Of course Wolves could always do better and pay more, much more. He is a very good player and could flourish under Portuguese management.

He is a sulker maybe with the midfield we have he would feel more comfy but if he throws a strop on the pitch that's the main striker out, JDB was always running around and put in a shift though his conversion was worse that's the type of player thy motivates others.

We signed Joe Mason and before him Adam Le Fondre and Grant Holt proven at this level but in the end not what we needed will Oliveira be different?

some of you need to give your heads a wobble, Oliveira would be a fantastic signing, would fit perfect in the central striker position in this new formation, so he has had the occasional sulk so what, very talented, just because we sign Neves doesn't mean we are going to get a Negredo or Aboubakar!

I hate that "Not good enough for so and so, so not good enough for us", different players suit different styles of play. Oliveira may suit Wolves better than Norwich, and he's got a good record for Norwich. Did Everton fans say "Lukaku, not good enough for Chelsea not good enough for us", did Liverpool fans say "Salah, not good enough for Chelsea not good enough for us"?
Such a ridiculous comment to make. Do you think fans of Burnley said about Sam Vokes "Not good enough for Wolves not good enough for us" there's many cases of players that aren't deemed good enough for certain clubs only to go on and have better careers that the club he left. Wolves know about that all too well.
It baffles me how quickly Wolves fans rite off players, managers and owners. It wasn't that long ago that people were saying "Fosun ain't got a clue how to run a football club, Mendes is poison"

People don't want him because he occasionally sulks but yet are crying out for Afobe to return! He threw about a 4 month constant sulk. Some fans amaze me!
