I see a rumour that Fulham have put in a bid for Stearman. Given his recent consistency - and recognition, should we decline all bids from Championship rivals irrespective of figure involved?

Steraman has had his best season for us, and has now matured into a quality CB.
So no we should not sell.
If Sunderland on the other hand offer good money for Batth then maybe.

I can't see us accepting it and I think stears who has told kj he wants to sign a new contract I think stears,kmac,dicko,scotty,Edwards,Henry will all sign new contracts sometime this year it wouldn't surprise me if they all signed new contracts in pre-season and if danny batth goes I'd sign Steven Taylor on free from Newcastle

Times change. Two years ago Stearman had had a poor season, kept out of the team by Johnson and Berra even, and it was far from certain he'd be kept on. Everyone was shouting for Batth to be given a chance. Now Stears is the key defender for us and there are question marks over Batth. An experienced manager will know if Batth's game is likely to develop as Stears's did. His best years are likely to be ahead of him.

Totally agree Euroman, Batth long way off finished article but time is on his side, Stearman must stay after last seasons efforts plus there is always Hause, Iorfa who can play there too
