Four players have been released. Craddock, Hemmings, Spray and Harris. The reason for this is that their contracts are up and Stale does't know if he wants to keep them on at the club so he's going to watch them during pre season and then decide whether or not to sign them.
Well sky has said he been released. .
And of course Sky is a definitive source because they would never just make things up or completely misinterpret what they have reputedly been told?

Weeks ago Jody was invited by Stale to turn up for pre season training. Further interviews with Jody seemed to indicate that this is what he would do and that he wanted to dtay with us.

If you remeber this time last season, it sayed Craddock had been released then and wasnt, some times i think these lists are just made up of likley releases and not actual ones {Ed001's Note - it is those whose contract has ended, not who has been released. It is a few days out of date anyway, Scholes was listed as released by United, when he signed a new contract during the week.}

By the way, apologies for getting it wrong about the new manager, I assumed that you had to wait because he was going to be managing a play off team. Even when I was told it was a second tier team now, I just assumed it meant our Championship and a team there now, not about to be relegated to it! I never even considered Stale, even being told he was bald I just assumed blooming Holloway! Though I never did find out why you had to wait for him? Was there a reason for that? I was away when it was announced and had no net as I was staying in a caravan with my daughter.}
