I'm actually a so called "happy clapper" and think we will easily get playoff places by the end of the season. But if we don't what's the worst that can happen? Another year in this league, improving our style of football. Or ,if it goes really badly, we go to league 1, now this may sound bad, but Norwich, Southampton, Swansea; 3 teams in the premier league now, that have been in the premier league recently, especially Southampton and Norwich, they got successive promotions from league one to the prem. So yeah my point is, who cares what happens this season, or maybe even the next, we will most likely be in the premier league within 3/4 seasons anyway.

Welll said just hope we dont go down as we will struggle to keep any of the new signing or bring in others but i totaly agree if we build on Solbakens style of play and choice of squad maybe not this year but soon and not rushing back hopefully well stay there!

Wow - a positive post.

Easily get a play off place? No chance m8. Mid table at best. Hurts me to say it. But i cant see where our next win is gona come from.

Unrest at Wolves, split dressing room rumour has it. Players can't play SS way.

The post about un-rest in the camp couldn't be further from the truth. The players as a rule have taken to Solbakken and his fresh approach and are all very motivated to make this work (even if it doesn't come naturally) - source Stephen Hunt. As posted a few weeks back Wolves are sounding out possible move for Alex Pearce of Reading out of favour and out of contract come end of season. Note the lad has been operating for past 2-3 seasons as left CB and move may well not happen till season end.

That's not optimism that is just stupidity

The current players are rubbishe and cant play any way. Only one or two worth a shirt for me!

"The current players are rubbish"

The majority of players that got us promoted, plus some good additions
think you're being a tad extreme

We need MM to come and get some of his players, then 2 M's won't have a choice but to give funds to Stale for players! Really want us to succeed but Stales tactics will not work with our present squad as the table shows! Paul Tamworth

WAKE UP

A handful of players carried this team up to the premieship and a handfull kept us there for a while.

3 of 5 them players now play for different clubs having been sold to the highest bidder.

The rest are average championship player on there very best day, they will never be replaced with the quality needed unless we hit lucky with a Sako because the people who run the club lack ambition for the club, only interested in making them selves money and increasing value on a cheaply bought asset.

NO AMBITION
NO DIRECTION
NO FOOTBALL SENCE

Run as a business only making two people money while letting the club rot.

WHY CANT SOME OF YOU SEE THIS ?

Everyone should read the article 'Boss Takes Responsibility' on the main wolves site. It sounds like he is willing to disrupt his long term plans now for some short term gain by picking more physical sides and playing more direct. Sounds like he is aware he needs results to get more time, I just hope he doesn't give up the long term plan to change the culture of the club. I think a patient, passing style is the way to go if we wan't to get anywhere above where we have been in the past and get us some kind of stability. Solbakken spoke a lot about the identity of the club when he first arrived. Unfortunately, I think people view us in a negative light because of our time in the premiership, if we give it time and change the way we play, I reckon we will attract better players and a good manager if Solbakken does eventually move on. The results have been unacceptable and it is worrying, but reading this article seems positive in the short term, I just hope he is given time to completely rebuild. I, for one, am still excited about not knowing where we are going, and I think credit has to go to the owners for taking a risk, we could have gone for a proven championship manager and repeated the whole situation again. I think we deserve to be more than a yo yo club.

So now were happy to go down to league one.no wonder this club gets nowhere , Jesus christ.

If only the rest of you could take your gold tinted glasses of and read the above statement.i know morgan wants to take us in the right direction but you cant do it with the money he has put back into the club.We havent even had the money of the players we have sold ,let alone the parachute payments. We are where we deserve to be mid table.

How could the money be re-invested in the last transfer window when Moxey has to hold out for top dollar resulting a late sale. This in turn gave Stale very little time to bring players in. Lets see how much of that money get's re invested in January. The biggest problem Wolves have is the amount of control Moxey has, which he is not capable of handling. I am not saying he does all elements of his job poorly but he should be kept a long distance away from all footballing matters.

{Ed011's Note - Recent Frimpong message in reply from JOH:

"@mrjamieohara: Good luck at Charlton lad hope the injury is all good now"

"@Frimpong26AFC: thanks G hope to b playing with you soon x"

- More evidence of Frimpong coming to us in January... or much less likely O'Hara is going to Charlton.

I was thinking the same till i saw this FIFA rule thing

Sorry but Charlton are doing well at the moment. If there in top 6 come January n we're mid table do you think Frimpong will still come to us? Doubt it very much.

Gutted that charlton have shown more ambition than us, stale is happy with dave edwards and david davis! god help us.....

Do you think he is happy or is he paying lip service. I don't believe there is a manager in the world who wouldn't improve his squad given the chance. That is just manager talk for Moxey wont allow me to sign anyone at the moment.

IF HE IS PLAYING LIP SERVICE THEN I HOPE HE GETS SACKED !

Because we dont need another puppet at the club, we need a leader !

TO BE HONEST NO SELF RESPECTING MANAGER WOULD WANT TO WORK WITH THESE TWO CLOWNS WOULD THEY

That's why we ended up with some no mark foriegn YES man who has won a league equivelent to celtic winning the spl now ranger have gone, and got saked in record time in the only other league he has managed while upsetting every player at the club !

So what is Stale supposed to say the board wont let me sign anybody until January so until the were stuck with sub standard players such as Ward and Edwards? That would really help the situation. If every manager walked when he wasn't allowed to sign a player then most managers wouldn't be in jobs very long.

FCK qualified for the champions league for the first time under Solbakken. They also qualified for the first knockout round of the champions league a few years later under him, the first time a Danish team had ever done that. He has the highest win percentage of any manager they have ever had. But y'know he is a 'foreign YES man' so we should probably just get rid of him as he clearly doesn't know how to manage a football team...

{Ed011's Note - With Hennessey injured, McCarey out on loan and after the fight between them we can't really know how long De Vries will stay at the club, does anyone think it's time for Aljaž Cotman to get a chance? What about at least in the reserves? It'd be interesting to see how much general Wolves fans know about Cotman, I've never seen him play for the reserves, he's been an unused sub a few times. He's 18, Slovenian and signed for us from Triglav Krani, a Slovenian side, after impressing on trial.

Isn't he an international u-18? or is that the left back Kostrna? I know one of them is a youth international.

Ed 011, I'm trying to get my head around the Frimpong situation. Solbakken says that he was only 70 - 85% fit - and so wouldn't take a chance on him, preferring Davis instead. Ok, but Arsenal and Charlton are prepared to let him play. Are we being too cautious or have we taken our eye off the ball and just got buzzed by Charlton? Or, even stranger does he go to Charlton with our blessing on the basis that we all sit back and see how he does there, crazy as that might seem?

I think it's a risky situation with Frimpong just now - but do you think that we will go for loan in Jan, maybe a buy, or have we just cocked it?

{Ed011's Note - I am under the impression that we had the opportunity to sign him but we weren't sure he was 100% fit and we weren't prepared to play an unfit player over the players we have i.e. Davis and Edwards. BUT we were interested in taking Frimpong on when he was more ready in January so it looks like we let Arsenal loan him out to another team or even told them to where he will play first team football and get his fitness back and then in January we'll have a pre-negotiated agreement that he'll join us on loan until the end of the season (optimistically in my mind with a view to buy at the end of the season but that's probably unrealistic although not entirely implausible).

To conclude I really don't think that we've missed out here or been beaten to it by Charlton, if anything we've been smart, assuming that it does all play out in our favour as I've suggested. I'd say SS made the decision not to bring him in yet too and I wouldn't be surprised if your sit back and see how he does suggestion is perfectly true. What I'm suggesting is only a theory to be honest and we'll have to wait until January to see and for Arsenal to accept that kind of a deal we'd have to have given them an offer that was very attractive financially, if he gets injured at Charlton Arsenal would lose out in that kind of a deal.

Thing tht bothers me is we signed Pennant and he wasn't fully fit? In fact we've been on a downward spirral since he came! Think he needs sending back to Stoke. Rubbish!

Thanks for taking the time on that one Ed (011). Yeh I'm hoping that it's on an agreed Arsenal-Wolves basis that Frimp is at Charlton. The whole thing is a bit risky tbh, but if he was offered to us we should have tied it up first time, that would be my thinking. I will cut the club a bit of slack for one reason in that Wayne's setback came after a couple of outings in the reserves and that may have been weighing on people's minds. Having said that is there any club that knows more about cruciate injuries than us - we're surely top of the table in that category. Oh and hernias.

PS hope those messages between JOH/EF amount to something in Jan....for us.

An alternative reason could be that, as we are now paying lower wages than last season we wouldn't match his salary.

OR could mean o hara will be off wen hes fit? or just means look foward to playing against him when there both fully fit? unsure about this one

Frimpong gone to charlton... I saw the lad from boro at the weekend ledesma he looks sum player! Talented on the ball an technical wud suit ss style! I think few new faces in jan and a push next year for promised land once ss tactics are bred into the players.

Ps going up against forest north bank first visit to new stand usually a south banker (yes banker) lol

Sie wolf

Have a good one Sie wolf, it's superb honestly! Plus we've never had a baggy in our seat!!;) Paul Tamworth

frimpong joins charlton on loan ,till jan the 1st thought he was unfit ,source sky sports thanks moxey and morgan

What an absolute joke, how can he be unfit for us but fit for Charlton. FUMING!!

And what if we sign him and and his knee goes straight away then!!

Such a fickle bunch!! sick and tired of all the moaners

We sign him and his knee goes, it's back to arsenal so it doesn't matter if that happens?
looks like your the fickle one, mate

How can it be fickle? He still has to pass a medical before we can sign him. {Ed011's Note - Guys, it seems to me that he'll go to Charlton until January, regain full fitness because even unfit he'll get into that team even though he wouldn't get into ours, then in January we'll sign him.

And what if his knee is fine and boss's there midfield, what if Davis or Edwards or even Tongo get injured ??

YOUR the fikle one.

I know ridiculous how he joins charlton and even tho he said the only place he would go on loan was wolves we shoukd have let that happen

We aint signing no one ,i have told you all before

The only place he would go on loan is wolves, he said that when he thought they wanted him, just like every wolves supporter. but we don't just yet so he's of to a different club, permanent in jan would be amazing although unrealistic

Frimpong on loan till jan 1st - bargain! Let him prove his fitness at Charlton and then try and get him in January if we want/need him

I for one am glad he's gone elsewhere. He will always be a chumpionship player at best never rated him when he was here so please could the fan's stop linking us to drab player like him....

Thts it now. Forget about ever signing Frimpong now! Im so angry! Dont blame the player. Blame the manager n our tight fisted board! Wht a joke this ssn is turning out to be. Grrrrr!

The only way we are going is Down with this guy in charge

YOU'RE* the fickle one

Good luck at Charlton Frimpong, as long as he stays injury free and gets fully fit he will move to a prem club in jan. My concern is we've got 3 foreigners runnin the team who haven't got a clue about the English leagues and the players in it! Paul Tamworth

Mugged off once again by moxey

O Hara tweeted Frimpong to say good luck and Frimpong replied Thanks but hope to be playing with you soon ??

Some real day dreamers on here. Things are getting worse by the week.. Hate to say it. but i cant see us getting nothing against Forest. Sorry. Can see us floating around the relegation zone for remainder of the ssn. Its all right saying we'll strengthen in Jan. Wht with? More dodgey free signings? Coz i can not see us spending a penny!
