Just been talking to a wolves squad player he says Jacket HAS got the job, and next seasons squad will NOT contain any player over the age of 25. I do hope he's wrong. P. J.

How old are henry/o'hara/Johnson? Please be 26+

I think Jacket has got it this was sewn up the day they sacked Saunders. M&M making it look like they are taking their time being thorough.

Do you think the board would tell the players who the manager was without calling a press conference first. It's not likely they would trust the players to keep it a secret is it. Plus they would have to agree compo with Millwall before agreeing to anything.

Why do people bother making up utter rubish!

I don't know much about jacket but I was speaking to a millwall fan today who seems to think he's heading for wolves and he thinks he's a great manager!

Wolves moose

I can't imagine any of the players have been near the club for a few weeks, so unless thelwell or moxey are phoning them to tell them, which is very unlikely, we can assume you are talking rubbish.

Pj mate I ain't arguing but sounds strange how player knws because would imply a few knw in which case someone wud/cud leak it out don't think the bord would risk it? Siewolf

I highly doubt this is true I know moxeys on holiday and its probably because they don't want him involved with interviews but before they make a final decision if have said bed at least have to be back in the country and speak about contract lengths pay etc. I don't really want jacket doesn't play attractive football the club has said we are going for and he has done nothing with Millwall always scrapped staying in championship bit what we need and if we do go back up we need to be puahing again not struggling in championship. And before you all moan and say premier ship is a long way off yes it is but we needs a manager now we can keep for 3-5 years with a plan to get us back to the top someone who can adapt improve youth and find decent players and play good football

Which sounds a lot like jackett. He got milwall promoted and kept them in championship on a tiny budget. I believe he also turned Swansea around and set the foundations for the type of football they now play.
I don't have a favourite out of the candidates so far as I don't have all the facts but I would be happy with either jackett, Powell or mcclaren.
Whoever gets the job will need us to vocal but also patient.

JMSC

If anyone player or not had been told who the new manager is wouldn't he have been backed off the boards at the bookies?

Its amazing how many managers have been responsible for Swanseas success, how far back was jackett in the hotseat? Soon we will be acknowledging managers from the 80s lol.

PJ stands for Paul Jackett (Kenny's son)

That's odd seen as wolves have taken one year options on elokobi and Edwards

just seen stuart pearce leaving molineux. he must be lost and asked for directions.

Its now monday 20th of may any news of a manager / morgan selling up

How long will it be before the next candidates are interviewed?

Morgan won't sell, he will stay and put things right, have had dealings with him and he's not a quitter.

Morgan may not be a quitter but just how many mistakes can someone make before they realise they're in the wrong business

Wolves looking at Ben Gibson from Middlesbrough and Byron Webster from Yeovil both defenders with knowledge of and power 1 division

I had look on wiki and the lad Webster evidently impressed on a trial for Doncaster against Wolves in 2009. I went to that match, we had just won promotion to the Premier and hopes were high. Donny took on Webster on a two year deal, but then gave him a free. He has played a lot for Yeovil this season but that is where we are shopping now, at Poundland. The mismangement makes my blood boil.

I went to school with Gibson, he's a good player. Can play left back or centre back

No chance he has been promoted with Yeovil to the Championship

Why would he drop from Yeovil (successful club) to Wolves?! People need to work out where we are now!

He would earn more money playing for the wolves in league 1 than Yeovil in the championship. That is the reason why players play for any club. The same as the rest of this country we all go to work for money and wouldn't hesitate to move if offered more money.

Cardiff City are after Johnson & O'hara - Any other fans want to chip in the taxi fare with me?

Bjorn will be staying next season!

Good luck to them. O'Hara done precious little due to injury.

What does Redbird think of that?

18 May 2013 18:44:14
drive them there myself

Done precious little either side of injury either, cash cow!

You mean - o'hara done precious little!

Two fine stalwarts of the game. Is there a better CB available now - don't think so. As for midfield, wouldn't look past O'Harnia - done all his recuperating with us and just ready to fly with a new team. Lucky Cardiff.
wolfshead.

If cardiff have RJ will he then hold a record? 4 consecutive relegations at the end of the season I think so!

No way would Cardiff take Johnson back.

Number 7, I'm with you. Definitely Premiership players and any newly promoted side would benefit from their experience. Sad to lose them really, but they are too good for us now.
(Just in case anyone disagrees, look up "irony"in the dictionary!)

Lets be honest, what has Johnson done wrong?
he was one of our best players last year and has been one of our only constant performers

I used to love Roger Johnson but his spell with the Wolves has tarnished his reputation somewhat. But on balance I would take him back provided you don't want what you shelled out for him.

Redbird

Johnson is certainly a good player. But he went through a spell of (apparently) not trying. We may never know what that was all about.

It is funny how our plummet has coincided with the arrival of Johnson. Yes his form was much improved at the start of the season but he finished very poorly. As for 1 of our better performers it was hardly difficult was it.
