Top target for Stale pre season is English born Lewis Holtby. Top quality attacking midfielder who plays for Schalke in the dirty bundesliga and will easily replace Matt Jarvis. Stale wanted to sign him at Köln but was not given the green light. 5m will seal the deal and will cost wolves only 25k a week. he will be the best player in the championship by a mile next season. Also as you know JR is out but might be going back to Birmingham on a free. A blue nose friend of mine is an occasional booze hound acquaintance of the knob jockey and he says that JR literally hates Wolves. He would love a move back to the scum and the 2 M's know he is bad news for us.

If wolves do sell Jarvis or even fletcher, they both will be replaced with good or even better players! It all depends on how much we get for the 2

Is Holtby a punt or based by fact, a German international who could also be playing European football next season with all due respect wouldn't want to play in the championship. Wouldn't mind if true could play alongside Jarvis

Wolves want ten million pounds for Fletcher and the same for Jarvis.

The same holtby who the media told England how good he was n he was open to play for em but I think he plays for Germany now do I doubt that

He is in and out of the Schalke squad, stranger things have happpened and would blitz the championship

I dont mind that rj hates wolves, but he's payed to play for us and untill we find someone stupid enough to come in for him, make him suffer, and give him hell !

Wolves will look to replace Wayne Hennessey with Craig Gordon who is out of contract at Sunderland

De vries and ikeme are good enough for championship, not that im convinced hennessy will move on with his injury

Which Prem team are going to come in for an injured keeper? It should work well for Wolves, de Vries has a settled run and then challenged by Hennessey, keen to get back to form.

Wolves, Leicester, Southampton and Reading are all interested in signing Michael Owen following his release from Manchester United

A step backwards for us me thinks he only plays twice a season. no thank michael.

Championship pace is slower, could be effective coming off the bench for 20 mins a game. Doubt we would pay the 60-70k a week for him to sit on the bench most of the time

The days of buying injury prone players are gone , if Owen is that good why wont Utd extend his contract? why not bring in Hargreaves too ?

Lets not keep quessing who is coming in. When the manager is in post I'm sure we'll find out his plans.

The Doog

So just who would organise this transfer or indeed any transfer prior to 1 July?

Just cos he's no good for United, doesn't necessarily mean he's no good for Wolves. Lets face it, both squads aren't of the same standard

All made up no transfers until after euros

Time for young players to come not older ones.

Owen has said only wants Prem football, but I think we would be wasting funds on someone whose likely to breakdown.

Solbakken looks a good manager

Owen only wants football that allows him to watch his horses on a saturday.

Johnson IS leaving Wolves. It is thought Wolves wont sell him to a championship club though.

I wonder what will happen if Solbakken wants to keep Johnson. will the fans turn on the new manager or respect his decision.
for example when he takes over on July 1 and he says every player starts with a clean sheet. would the fans still be against Johnson. or will we give him second chance ? ( interesting )

Its important ever player has a clean sheet, Stalle will soon find out the likes of johnson are bad eggs anyway, and if they turn over a new leaf then bonus !

Yes, i think if stale wanted him in the team i would have to back his decision. and may be Johnson could turn it round given the right support who knows ?

Johnson may of handed in a request to leave.

It's been said that he has no choice in the matter and Johnson has to go

Think there is more chance of the Pope signing for us than Johnson staying. He's made it blatantly clear he does'nt want to be there, and the fans don't want him. There would need to be a massive change in attitude for the fans to take him back after everything he's done this season. Personally, I'd always give someone a second chance if they showed genuine remorse and passion, but I think it's far too late for that now.

I would have thought that ss has been told johnson is out of the door there will be no u turns it seems neither side has respect for the other too bad there was no relegation clause with him he will apparantly mantain his prem wages

John Rudge willl be approaced to leave Stoke City and move back to Wolverhampton , where his heart is.

Last thing we need is a director of hoofball like him.

It will be someone from Europe almost guaranteed, he has done well with Stoke as he has got players in who have suited Pulis play, which is a mixture of wrestling and football...

DOF dont decide what style a team plays! Besides when he was at Port Vale they played some good passing football, and were on the verge of the championship, they have gone downhill since he left.

No transfers in or out of the club till new manager has assessed the squad and improvements available, except for R Johnson, board have lost faith in him and can see no future for him with the club or fans. Stale has no say on this one

Which means we won't be doing any (incoming) business till July, and the rest of the Football League will wait of course. I don't believe that Stale will have any say in players going (Mr Moxey presiding here) - RJ, Fletch, Jarvis, etc - that is the deal which he must have signed up to. Could be a lot of one-way traffic this transfer window, most of it outbound.

Reply to the above post regarding roger johnson. ( stale has no say on this one. ) so are the board over ruling stale before he even starts his new job. perhaps they will be picking the team for us. stale should be telling the board what he wants to do with roger johnson not the over way round. or what is the point of having a manager. ( stay out of the dressing room please mr morgan )

Agree with the above post, all I can say is that there has to be some kind of agreement between Morgan and Solbakken in place along the lines of - we will clear the boards for you by 1 July (get back £20m+ in transfers), and you manage a Championship team after that.

Fair point stale should have complete control over the team including incoming and out going players to undermine him at this early stage would send out the wrong message to the fans.
