just spoke to a friend of mine who works at the mol. All he would tell me is that the takeover is definitely happening, and put it like this he doesn't work in the restaurant he's a bit closer to the pitch if you get my drift. I know this doesn't shed more light on the situ, but at least we know it's happening.

100% it will happen only posted here 2 times, if Robin li wants to keep up with wanda sports and be a voice in football this is an excellent addition and wolves can play in the new china cup.

Great things are happening in china that's where all the money is, can't wait for the china cup to rival the champions league that's why business leaders in china are buying traditional clubs up with history all around europe.

I think we can assume that a deal will be going ahead or Moxey / Morgan would love nothing more than going in front of the cameras to deny it. They haven't so we should be confident something is happening.

Totally agree. why would kj come out saying he is not sure if he will be with us for the start of the season or even next week if nothing was happening! I'm sure if there was no truth in the takeover poxey moxey would let him no this.

Close source I can't say more. Robin li is flying to London from Milan this weekend the held up was on the Italians after more cash and I think the stakeholding by the chinese consortium in Milan as dropped from 80% to 70%. so expect something to happen next week. Just like everyone else I want it done and dusted.

There will be an announcement later today or early Monday morning to say that the current takeover bid has ended due to the time taking over the deal. Robin Li will now finalise the deal for AC Milan and the rest of his consortium and trying to build a team and creating AC Milan in to one of the best teams in Europe.

JP I'm not sure that makes sense, from what I can see the Chinese want AC Milan to exploit their home mass market, while it seems they want Wolves to be the face of their business interests in foreign markets (that will appeal to the progressive in China) . Each club looks like it achieves a different objective for them that are separate, but if anything compliment one another rather than conflict. So I don't believe one is dependent on the other or that it's an either / or situation, it makes sense that it would be both.

wavidsmith, if this is true then I believe SJH would be delighted, because of the type of person Robin Li seems to be, and for what he can do for the club and possibly more importantly, for the town.

We don't stop being Brit because we have a Chinese owner, especially one as Western as Robin Li (through his education and former employment) , and one whose agenda seems to perfectly fit with how our real identity and heritage is - rather it helps us take our very Brit identity and values into Europe and China, helping to make the World more Brit / strengthening Brit presence abroad.

I honestly believe if you can imagine SJH shaking his head at this, it's a figment of your imagination, because I can see him smiling over the better future this gives the club and the towns people, especially it's young and their future kids.

I don't think he leaked it to get better deals, I think he leaked because the Chinese were happy for him to do it, maybe they were keen to get on and wanted to excite fans, get them on their side with big plans to put Wolves under pressure to let them get on with it?

Main thing is, if you read through that Spanish agents twitter, he was watching Euro's, and at end of them he said in his opinion the glory days of the Spanish National team are past them, because that generation is getting too old and other Nations have caught up. He advises that manager and prospers from his career, I can't see him wanting him to manage a Spain that he reckons are in decline, compared to Wolves that may well be the new Man City project.

There are links to both Marca articles in the Mol Mix take over thread around 8pm to 10pm last night.

The first says our take over deal not taking off is pushing that guy to be Spain's National manager, while the second report from the same people, published same day, possibly later (but only in Spanish language so hard to find for us in UK) that him about to become Wolves Manager was ruling him out of Spanish job. It's all just speculation, most reliable recent news is still what that Spanish agent said, which was that his client, that Manager, was signing for Wolves.
