Morning All

Heard some big gossip last night from within Compton I wanted to share. As I say and continue to iterate its gossip, but the person I heard it from was adamant that it was nailed on info.

Fosun wanted to and came close to sacking Lambert after the Blues game. The older heads on the board talked them out of it after the Solbakken and McCarthy sackings. But another factor is now that Fosun have earmarked one man only as the clubs next manager. That man is Marco Silva. They are prepared to wait to see if Hull stay up but should they be relegated Wolves will pounce with a big money offer to Silva. I was also told that if Hull stay up Fosun's contingency plan could involve Marc Wilmotts. But that info seemed a bit more vague.

Just passing on what I have heard guys. Need to avoid defeat tonight if we can. A point away at Brentford could be a useful one.

Omg yes Silva would be amazing. His football is fancy and perfect for our team. Hope hull go down then.

Marco Silva? But Paul Merson said he was no good. Anybody could win 17 consecutive games of football.

Seriously though, a simple betting strategy is this. Whatever Merson says, bet the opposite.

Hope for a club to get relegated so we can get their manager, no wonder we're going backwards, need some "winners" and a couple of good coaches to work with Mr Lambert would be a start.

It won't be Silva.

Hi Ho Silva Lining! Please 👍😉⚽️.

Does anyone take any notice of what Merson says? He's an alchie! Good footballer but let himself down with the bottle. Sad as it is.! Whether we get Silva or not time will tell. I for one think he would be a good move and has a very good track record and knows what he wants! ⚽️👍😉.

I imagine that Lambert has already discovered he isn't getting his contract renewed. Perhaps after his January manager of the month nomination he wanted to get some assurances on his long term future but the conversation didn't go well.
This might explain results in Feb/ March, his and the players lack of confidence.

Tom Tit,

If I remember rightly, Marco Silva was in the frame for the Wolves job last summer when the first choice, the Spanish coach, changed his mind. Silva has done a fantastic job with Hull. Shame we ended up with the third choice, Zenga, who was a part-timer really, given his residence in Dubai.

Surprisingly (to me anyway) Lambert has done so badly. He probably knows he is on borrowed time now.

If Lambert thinks he will get sacked he will walk so I very much doubt these rumours are true as I some how think he would know before your friend if that was the case.

The team and manager need our support and WE don't NEED A FOREIGN MANAGER!

Lambert deserves time, I hate his current team selections and tactics but with players like Edwards, Saville, Batth then what do you expect?

Biggest problem at the club is Therwell without a doubt. If anyone is to be sacked it should be him. How someone can perform so poor in recruitment is beyond belief. Why have all our underperforming players been rewarded with new contracts?

DC. it is unbelievable Thelwell is still with us. He has overseen Squad recruitment and is the prime reason we are in this situation.
4 managers already this season have failed with these players.
Not supporting Lambert, but in any business situation, you clear out from the top first. Complete overhaul of the management structure needed.
Don't change the manager at this stage, it will not help.

Surely they must have recognized that all he is good for is "one for the future" and that's it.
Thelwell has no idea about senior players at all.

I never like putting anyone in the frame for the boot but I have to just question how Sporting Director Thelwell's performance is measured. Is he Lambert's boss? If the first team loses or plays rubbish obviously the Head Coach gets grief or sacked but it seems to have no impact on him. If the under 18's results are rubbish the coach gets sacked but no impact on the Sporting Director. Does he have responsibility for appointing managers? Did he appoint Jackett or was it Moxey or both? If so was there any comeback on him when Jackett was sacked? If his job is player recruitment he must have been busy in the summer buying our rreserve goalie cause all the other summer signings were Mendes. The two January signings were Lambert's so what has he been doing for the last six months. Who was it in the January before that who went shopping for a striker and came back with Mason a number ten. Why have we had no recognised left back since Golbourne went 14 months ago. Just curious what our Sporting Director actually does that's all.

I now one or two people on here wanted Rowett as manager but he's been appointed Derby manager till end of season.
