Afobe is quality at this level nobody can argue with that I don't think the transfer will happen until the last day or so of the window has he will try everything to get into the Bournemouth 1st team but if he fails then we can make a move. Our top priority has got to be to get a striker in before then but i'm sure Nuno knows what he's doing . UTW.

B'mouth have Defoe, King and Wilson ahead of Afobe. He won't even be a bench warmer. If either of King or Wilson leave, and the former has been linked with Spurs, maybe they will try to hold on to Afobe.
With Bod moving on, I think Wolves will look to bring in two strikers. We've only got poor Dicko as a proper No 9. 1x ST £10m 1x ST Loan

Where does this "can't rely on Zyro" come from Harlow? He joined, did well, was hacked out of the game, given a cruciate injury and is just coming back. So the only basis on which you can make a statement like that is that you don't know. Another so called supporter being negative, has Wednesfield started to build a following? Wait and see and be supportive and hope he comes good because if he does early evidence would suggest he could be very good.

I'm not saying he didn't do well for us he is a really good player but he's injury prone he was before he come to wol he's not going to play that many games over the season he's going to keep getting niggling injuries.

Injury-prone players? Bottom line guys is that in this brave new Wolves era we need strength in depth, just like the top four PL teams have. If we have strength in depth we can cope with injuries. Nuno I believe wants two players of similar quality for EVERY position. Bring it on.

Mason will be the surprise player because he won't be sold that's why he's in Austria its the players staying here that are leaving Iorfa Ebanks-Landell Bodvarsson and probably Oniangue maybe Graham but if he really is injured then he is staying
Probably will sign a striker but we have Dicko and Mason with Bright and Zyro and even Cav able to stand in.

Where is your evidence that he's quality at this level Dot? Scored a few yes but hardly quality as he proved in his final season irrespective of his sulky behaviour. In my opinion it's likely that any striker acquisitions will be left field, ie names hardly getting a mention. This is how Fosun generally seem to operate.

Old Wolf if you remember in his final season he was asked to play a lot deeper than a no10 because he was the only player we had who could create, this is why his goal rate dropped.
When he was played as a no9 he earned rave reviews from championship and premier league hence why he is now there.

Absolutely right do. as a striker he's top drawer in the championship. he was good at linking up play as well but he had no one in front of him. sako had gone. i'd have him back all day long. he'd be phenomenal with the players we now have.

Have to agree with Dot and Timtoo44 on this. He is a class act and Iam sure he would be the 20 goal season type striker we all want. He was played out of position towards the end of his time with us but, as frustrated as he must have been, I never once saw him give less than 100% in a Wolves shirt. I would welcome him back with open arms any old day of the week.

Are you having a laugh brummiewolf? Frustrated or not as a professional footballer you should always give 100% but Afobe rarely gave above 10% in last few months! Just skulked around the pitch and his body language was awful. If you accept that then I'm sorry you're very easily pleased. I'm not doubting he has the ability to score goals at this level but only if he can be arsed putting the effort in.

If we do get Oliver he's a step up from what we have. i'm sorry to see jdb leave but this guy is a far better technical footballer. ill admit i'm not sure about his attitude or workrate but maybe Nuno can do something about that. but the main thing he has going for him over the other imports surely is that he's already played and scored goals in this league. i'm also sure that there'll be another forward coming in.

I thought price played well the other day. A lot more positive and looked to create when he had the ball. Nuno might bring the best out of him. I'd be disappointed if we get rid of him only to replace him with the same sort of player who is A lot older. If we are only going to replace him it's got to be someone a level above him.

How many chances has price had. he looks good when given time on the ball but against good teams and when it gets physical he hasn't got either the fight or quality and looks like a rabbit caught in the headlights. of all the players I'd worry for playing against us he's the least threatening. surely the signing of neves proves we want better.

Price usually does well and is dropped after games when the whole team does badly he's no Neves but would walk into other Championship teams
The next players leaving will be Oniangue and maybe Iorfa two good players but the squad is big and Nuno only interested in those on tour.

I don't understand the criticism price gets personally, his been playing in a poor team playing hoofball. Personally I think his got one of the best footballing brains at the club and playing in nunos system will flourish. I know it was only a friendly against Bremen but he showed in the first half in the right system he can be a fantastic little player for he and I personally think this season you'll see the quality he does actually possess playing in nunos system alongside neves.

Nelsons scoring rate is about 1 goal in 3 games. In comparison, prior to joining Wolves Jon Dadi was never better than 1:7 - he was never going to be prolific.
Nelson could do well with the Portuguese support at Wolves. Could indeed be a master stroke. He has the potential to be a 20+ striker.

With Portuguese coaching staff and high quality players around him he will never get a better chance to make his name. If it goes through this is his chance to establish himself in the top level.
