Hey guys.
So I have set up a Fantasy league for this page and all others. It's a classic public league.

It's titled Football Rumors League.
A stickie has been put up regarding the same at the top of the banter page.
We had about 750 members two years back. So hopefully we can cross a thousand this time.

I can't understand why Wolves would let Boro, one of their rivals buy Assombalonga without making a bid. Watch this, Assombalonga top goalscorer next season in the Championship as Boro get automatic promotion. Wolves meanwhile finish 7th on goal difference.
I pray that Wolves have better targets in mind. I would put Afobe in that category. We need tried and tested Championship goalscorers. Even if we bought Aboubakar who's to say he'll adapt well in the Championship?

Well I've seen Assombalonga play several times and he's not that good in my opinion. Time will tell of course but I reckon he'll be a dud in relation to his fee.

If we don't get big Vincent then I think afobe will set dicko going again don't get me wrong some of us fans haven't forgiven him yet but get him in gold and black and couple of goals we all be raving about him again as we all no that's how fickle football fans can be i'd be one of them as for the price either wolves fans been pumping loads on him as that's a hell of a price drop think he only evens to stay at Bournemouth.

All the bookies' odds tell you is that money is going on Afobe to come to us. People may be speculating in ignorance.
If I suddenly stuck a grand on Jesus Christ to return and play for Wolves, the bookies would quote odds. If someone stuck ten grand on, the odds would shorten.

You are correct to a large extent throaty but anyone who thinks or believes the rumours to be rubbish can always put their money where their mouth is, ie evens to stay at Bournemouth, 18/ 1 Middlesbrough or 25/ 1 Sandwell Town.

I agree Norris is a great penalty stopper he saved a penalty against us last season in the efl cup been motm on many occasions for Cambridge he signed for Cambridge from Royston so they will get a cut of the transfer fee.

Euroman, its easy to name names and say a number but in reality, 3 of those keepers are very young, 1 is loaned out 1 is set to be loaned out, 1 is set to leave and 1 has lukemia
That leaves 3 keepers again 1 Burgoyne who is young enough to get regular game time at U21 level and good enough to be back up to Norris and Ruddy.

Although it's nice to have all these 'star names' signing and being linked. the team still needs an identity and a heart.

£5mil for Batth and Doherty sounds cheap. I rate Doherty more than Batth though.
By the way, I thought someone on here categorically said we were signing two strikers and they were due to be announced last Monday. Obviously we will sign a striker or two, that's not a secret, but there is a lot of guessing going on here under the pretence it's ITK info!
It's easy to say "my sources tell me we are signing a striker" (but not actually naming one! ) . Then, when we sign a striker, it's "I told you so".

I think £2-3m is about the going rate for regular-ish Championship players. Occasionally someone pays more if it looks like there's star quality on the horizon, like Ross McCormack, but we've not paid big money for Championship players like Mason or Dicko.
These two players might look out of sorts with all these new signings. But it looked that way 12 months ago, and they played most games. But everyone has their price.
