Wolves will sign Leicester striker Martyn Waghorn over the weekend for £500k. He cost Leicester £3m three yrs ago.

he is going to millwall

Wolves have lodged an official bid. Waghorn could even appear in Wolves' next match in Scotland - that's how advanced the talks are.
Newbs

I say! I'd rather have Foghorn Leghorn

really that's how advanced the talks are ok so what are you going to say when it comes up millwall or someone else sign waghorn because he isn't coming to us

Forget Waghorn. Even if Doyle goes I would like to think we have enough young strikers Siggy, Griffiths, McAlinden and Cassidy to cope with L1. If Doumbia goes then this is the area where we could do with more experience.

Has anyone else seen griffiths stating his 3 goals this season win the title become a regular Scotland player and get a new contract from wolves!! I can't believe it I'd give him one now really rate him as do most people and it stops any risk of us loosing him for a free next season.

Says the managers been really good and hopes he can take his chances well done jacket. Keep it up.

On strikers though I don't think we need anymore really rate siggy and griffiths. Cassis us proven at this level having scored 19 goals by Christmas last year. And mcalindan a good prospect. On top of that doumbia has said he sees him self as a attacking midfielder so do we need anymore strikers?

Waghorn wants to stay in the championship, he stated this earlier.

You and me both son, I say you and me both

Griffiths had better score more than the 3 goals that he states. lol

We need one more striker. If we were being honest, has Cassidy really cut it? In comparison to the other strikers we have that also have a lot more promise

we could be apparently we have enquired about a load of players I don't know what players but we have enquired about alot

Has Cassidy cut it! In this league last year he scored 19 goals by Christmas! And plus griffiths and siggy will probs be first choice

I reckon Griffo and Macca, with Siggy playing wide.

Interesting maybe I think siggy would be good just behind front two. But we'll see either way all four should be brilliant this league al chipping in with at least 20+ goals each touch wood

After reports about Macca's performance the other night I reckon he might well take over Cass in the rankings.

Cassidy didn't score 19 goals by Christmas.

Reports that we have offered half a million for Martyn Waghorn at Leicester. We are in competition with Bolton and Milllwall, but Millwall look favourites as they can offer regular championship football.

But Bolton cant?!

At Bolton he would be fourth or fifth in the pecking order. I'm surprised Bolton are even interested if indeed they are. In fact I'm surprised we are.

I know a friend who works at the Molineux, and she is saying that we are trying to sign Lawrie Wilson (25, MF)

Don't shoot the messenger.

Another WHO! let's get some players that we have heard of someone who will put bums on seats.

what happened to all the parachute payments and the money from the sale of fletcher, jarvis ect. does any know.

Why do people keep moaning about the millions? Some seasons there was net inflow, some seasons net outflow. The season before we sold Fletcher etc we spend loads more than we received. Maybe the 2011/12 season was payback time.

The parachute payments and money from the player sales was used to settle Jez's account with Ginsters

The money is there but who wants to come to League one?

also I think you mean 'etc. '

Wish all this "who" stuff would stop, just because you don't know who the player is doesn't make him crap. We hadn't heard of kightly, Jarvis, sako, foley, Edwards etc etc etc and they have all proven good enough.

Plus you may need to lower your expectations now that WE ARE IN LEAGUE 1 the name isn't enough to attract top players at the moment.

These players will get us back up and then maybe we might get regular household names in the club again but I for one don't want that! These relative unknowns prove time and time again that they are good enough.

Well said. Players in the top two divisions probably say "Who?" when they are told that Wolves are interested in them.

The only players we'll get from these divisions are those that can't get a game for teams there like Sam Ricketts. (No disrespect, Sam, but you are now a big fish in a small pond rather than the other way round).

Now, do we want cast-offs from Huddersfield, Ipswich and Barnsley? Or do we want to find promising young players from the lower leagues or from overseas?

Cast off from Huddersfield? Danny Ward for example?
