Wolves are lining up a bid for Stoke City striker Kenwyne Jones according to www.tribalfootball.com. It is said that Mick McCarthy wants a new striker on board at Molineux to boost his side's goal threat as they prepare for a relegation battle. Jones has been identified as the perfect man to help steer them clear of the drop zone. Jones, 27, has been at the Britannia since 2010 but has started only five league games this season and most of his game time has come in the Europa League. Tony Pulis is keen to hold on to him as the Potters are still in Europe but Jones could fancy the prospect of more regular action. As noted I believe by Gibo, Stoke are very interested in Michael Uchebo, who at 6ft 8 is dubbed the "African Peter Crouch" in what could be Stoke's first move in the January transfer window. Pulis wants to see 21-year-old Nigerian Uchebo during training this week before deciding whether to make a move. Those of you who have seen my earlier posts will know that I've been calling for us to try to get Jones but I hope that we don't lose Doyle or Fletcher in order to get him.

The club were quick to dispute that there was only £3.5million to spend and I expect that we'd be prepared to spend more than that if we need to but think that the most important thing is making some space in the squad before bringing more players in to free up the pay roll a little.

By selling players , fringe players Like Keogh & Vokes.Also players that cant cut it in the premier league like Big George , Stearman & SEB , there are plenty of championship clubs that would have them as that is their level.

We will not sign jones unless we sell doyle. We do only have between 3 and 4 mil to spend (more if we sell) and maynard WILL be signing for around 1.75 mil. 1 Def will come in and then it depends who we sell to who we bring in, vokes will be sold, ade seems set on a loan move to france. Mad mick cannot attract the prem players we need. The lack of ambition from the club is awfully poor too!
