Che Adams brace.might be an option for us?

17 Apr 2024 13:05:50
Other feature of last night’s football, was that almost everything that PSG did well against Barcelona, had Vitinha at the heart. He controlled the pace of the game and was the one who dictated the pace and direction of attacks. Can’t remember him giving the ball away. Don’t know whose decision it was not to take up the option we had to turn his loan into a permanent transfer, but it certainly was a missed opportunity.

17 Apr 2024 13:31:46
No thanks

17 Apr 2024 14:22:20
What even better than his stunner against Chorley? Hindsight is a wonderful thing and I doubt there are many who were disappointed when he wasn’t signed.

17 Apr 2024 14:26:52
I think you can thank Nuno for that Wolf. Not sure it was so much us deciding agaisnt signing Vitinha think it was more him not wanting to stay after hardly playing when he was here on loan! I loved Nuno but he was very stuck in his ways when it came to team selection.
I don't think people understand with Che Adams that his contracts about to expire, so he would therefore be on a free! So essentially the question is would Che Adams be a better option on the bench than no option (or an academy player)?! C'mon surely when that's the options he's a better option than no option?!

17 Apr 2024 15:07:30
To be honest, when Vitinha came on as a sub, he looked good against tiring opposition. When he started, he looked rubbish. He had 1 good game when starting and that was against lower league opposition in the cup.

17 Apr 2024 16:40:03
Bullysboy re Che Adams, careful you're using common sense here!

17 Apr 2024 19:07:35
If Gary wants Che Adams, that's good enough for me. Gary has improved most if not all Wolves players, so let's see what he can do with Adams.

17 Apr 2024 23:50:48
I completely agree Deep and Ken. We've come unstuck at this end of the season because we have a good first team but no actual sqaud! Well this is how squads are built, with free transfers and sensible business. We basically need to bring options in for pretty much every position (bar fbs) and we need to do so whilst operating under conditions where we have just been given a FFP warning/let off! Not sure if it's true but I've read we are Adams preferred option (think his fam are in Brum) so like Deep says if he's good enough for GON that's enough for me. If nothing else it might actually help GON to feel like he has some say in the sqaud HE needs to build 👍

18 Apr 2024 06:57:15
One player very unlikely to be in the squad next season is Silva.
As Rangers implode, this was his rating last night:
"Silva - 3/10
Another disappointing display from the Wolves loanee as he walked off in a sulk after being subbed just like he did on Sunday."
If he can't cut it in Scottish Football, it is not going to happen for him.
A real problem for us, transfer value virtually zero and still picking up £4 million a year until 2026!
Great business Shi.

18 Apr 2024 07:02:11
I've posted my opinion on che Adams recently and I think it would be a good signing not just because we can get him on a free but for his qualities too.

Whang had split opinions on here before this season championship player at best but he's proved wrong so exactly tge sane for che Adams.

We've spent big on quality European plsyers guedes amongst them who've flopped.
Che Adams is British and has quality in him.

18 Apr 2024 08:29:53
Morning Rugeley,
It's hard to read/see how silva has flopped but it's not killed us but along with guedes tge other main flop we've just gone back 10 paces if you like.
Past is gone can't do anything but look forward on the knowledge that our club has had lessons learnt all be it the detriment of fans.

Ps when the last time atselost 3 games on the bounce?
Hope we win Saturday as hasn't got to be said but COME ON WANDERERS
COME ON WANDERERS.

18 Apr 2024 08:37:42
Typo
Ps when's the last time "Arsenal lost" 3 games on the bounce?

18 Apr 2024 09:26:51
Beginning of last season I think phil, or one before it was artetas first time in charge, might be wrong as memory not good but Sat's game will either be a fire storm or well put the mockers on em. One memory never erased from me mind tho is when we beat em 5-1 at the mol, they were league champs at the time. It was on match of the day that night. Not all games were selected in them days and you only knew it'd be on when you saw the BBC wagons outside the ground. Messy weather but great day.

18 Apr 2024 10:30:53
Alright Abbey,

We've beat mam City Tottenham and Chelsea at home this season 3 out of the big 6.
Man City win at home proves that it can happen we can beat Arsenal Saturday.

We take our chances be mindful of concentration for the full 90 minutes plus added time, a bit of luck, rub of the green.
Jeez might put 10 bob (lol for you old uns old money) on us to win 5-1.

18 Apr 2024 10:57:30
I hope dawsons fit, I think he's been missed at back big time. I'm hoping for the best phil, cunha on fire like he was v man u first game, hwang hitting the pace and who knows. 10 Bob!? Wish I could get the same amount of beer for it now. 50p for you young uns dosnt compare, 10 fags were less than 10p then.lol. mind you if we won 5-1 with a 50p bet coming in I'd imagine you'd get well over the old ten Bob return in ale. Nobody could have written the script. Written off at the start of the season as relegation favourites, hammered throughout
The season with controversy VAR decisions, avoiding FFP. Now Wolves could determine the outcome of the Premiership with games against Arsenal, Man City and Liverpool.

16 Apr 2024 10:45:37
Which one of those games do you fancy us taking points from linsay?
Saturday at home to Arsenal seems the likeliest if Dawsons back for me, although they'll be up for it after the vile result.
I can't see us getting anything away to city and Liverpool away last day will be hard enough weather pool are still in the race or not given that it's klopps swansong.
Forever the optimist I'll be hoping we can win everygame, but the realist dosnt always agree openly!

16 Apr 2024 19:18:15
Sorry to be the party pooper.
But I did say we would struggle to win many games after the Coventry defeat. As the players body language
Confirmed it.
But as ever I'm the optimist.
Just seemed after that, and with netto, out for season. They seemed to be accepting where they are at moment.

17 Apr 2024 11:50:02
This time next year we'll be lol (in Del boy style)millionaires top of the league ha ha.

14 Apr 2024 21:06:19
Is Cunha our new Jota, in waiting? I only say in waiting because back then we had a centre forward for Jota to play off.

Maybe if Wolves get a decent CF for next season we may see a return to those heady days and performances. Having said that our performances this season have been good but the defence does also need attention as too many unnecessary and late goals conceded imo.

As for MGW, what's his problem? He chose to leave Wolves but I for one can't stand the little twerp so I'm glad he did. He falls into the same group as Grealish for me, thinks he's better than he actually is.

15 Apr 2024 06:08:19
MGW was offered a new contract but he wouldn't sign it as he wanted regular football which Bruno Lage couldn't him due to other players being ahead if him.

The fact that the club stood by him when he breached Covid rules etc seems to have passed him by.

16 Apr 2024 13:11:53
Let's face it, if MGW was to return to Molineux he would still only be good enough to warm the subs bench. He is a n average player with a super inflated ego.

16 Apr 2024 15:03:06
Hi Ray if MGW played under GON imo he would do well
but it ain't ever going to happen

14 Apr 2024 16:04:37
Has anyone checked in on Ed001?

{Ed001's Note - I am ok mate. We got what we deserved. Again.}

14 Apr 2024 16:48:09
Glad you're taking it well, it was a tongue in cheek comment.

In all honestly I'd prefer if Liverpool or Arsenal won the league. I've no interest in Man City or their achievements.

{Ed001's Note - I am gutted but this has been coming all season. The inverted full-back bollox and slow build up play has been causing us to struggle and have to keep rescuing games. No team can do that as often as we have without it catching up to them.

I would also prefer it if anyone but City won it. We all know they have bought it though. They will get a dodgy handball decision or something if Arsenal are close on the final day.}

15 Apr 2024 06:35:36
Arsenal always fluff it at tge end of the season looks like they doing it again.
Man City in poll position.
But you never know.
We got The Arsenal up next praying we don't get the backlash.

16 Apr 2024 15:10:52
Think we`l get the backlash Phil 3 or 4 nil
realy hope i`m wrong

Injuries aside, we aren't doing too bad, but my observation is with the lack of Dawson in the side defensively we are terrible, creating all our own problems, I understand playing out from the back is part of the modern game but when the opposition have set up to aggressively challenge for the ball high up the pitch, we need to choose the correct times to for it. I like kilman but he's not a captain for me.

15 Apr 2024 11:03:52
Agree CB, defence is the biggest priority for summer spending IMO.

13 Apr 2024 23:23:23
I have got to get it off my chest. One point enough to ensure Wolves can't get relegated. Well done.

14 Apr 2024 08:50:22
That may well be the blessing given the matches we've got coming up lindsayb, arsenal, City and pool away, bournmouth, Luton and Palace both fighting for points, on yesterday's performance and with the injuries we'll be lucky to see another win.

14 Apr 2024 13:07:53
I need to get something off my chest, anyone else notice City's first goal yesterday. Back out from the corner smashed back in, Haaland CLEARLY stood offside and in front of the keeper. Well that's off side then, no goal isn't it, we learnt that last week didn't we?! Weirdest thing though, wasn't even reviewed or even mentioned for that matter?! It's almost like teams in this league play by entirely different rules. I really am done with it all to be honest peeps, corruption and bias have genuinely ruined my favourite sport! 🤢

14 Apr 2024 13:36:20
Nb- correction City's second goal

14 Apr 2024 13:43:08
I agree BullysBoy. VAR has ruined the game.

Semi Automated offside are being introduced after the first International break next season.

Don't know why that can't be introduced from the start of the season as its not as though the technology hasn't been tested in the Champions League, World Cup and Euros.

14 Apr 2024 15:04:08
More VAR, more rules to be interpreted to suit, more corruption. Football as been hijacked from the sport we knew, and we'll never get it back.

14 Apr 2024 21:49:37
VAR has ruined the game of football. With all the technology available, off site referee's, the on field ref with their monitor it's still all about interpretation as it was a few years ago when it was just a single on field official and linesmen. The difference was then poor decisions tended to even themselves over the season and I guess we all accepted this as part of the game but at least it flowed. VAR was introduced to resolve these issues and remove any controversy or at least this is the concept we were all sold on. Instead it has introduced more controversy, slowed the game and ruined it as a spectacle and now as mentioned above they're introducing more changes which will just make things even worse. There's barely a match now that isn't affected by a poor VAR decision and it'll just keep getting worse.
