Braga striker Paulinho is close to joining Wolves on loan with a view to a permanent move in the summer despite Wolves recalling Patrick Cutrone.

Wolves came close to signing Paulinho in summer, with the striker declaring his intentions to play in the Premier League recently.

The Portuguesse international has become disinterested and as a result was dropped by Carlos Carvahal for their league game v Maritimo in an attempt to address the situation and force a move to Molineux.

Expect an announcement by the end of next week.

Haha, Paulinho seems to be our new Talisca! Without fail we are about to sign him on these pages about four times every window! Not saying your wrong, in fact I VERY much hope your right but sadly due to the regularity of this rumour I've come not to believe a word of it these days! 👍.

Bruno Lage is considering recalling Patrick Cutrone from his loan in Italy.

And I suspect Cutrone will say exactly what he's said EVERY other time, which is that he wants to be in Italy! Fair play, if anyone can prove me wrong it's Bruno (he's shown that to all of us already:) . For me, I fear that ship has already sailed but time will tell, would be happy to be wrong?
BTW-nice touch to see SQ back on here giving Lage his due credit. I've always said it SQ we haven't always agreed but you've always been fair ??

If Cutrone was considering making a go of it at Wolves, why did he head back out on loan in August?

Deb maybe he realised we were signing another striker and realised he wouldn't get a chance. Now Hwan is injured circumstances have changed. That said IMO I doubt we will see him in a Wolves shirt again. I don't think his heart was really on moving from Italy and I'm not sure a recall would be good for the Player or Club at the moment. If I was Bruno I would let Patric make the decision and not force his hand.

Regarding Cutrone it may be at that point to try to reach a mutual agreement with him to terminate his contract.

Re Cutrone why we bought a guy that clearly never wanted to come to England let alone Wolves I've no idea. Massive mistake by both us and him. Prime waste of money better off to cut our losses take the hit and move on. He'll never be happy and we can do without anyone who is likely to be disruptive. Not worth the effort!
