Hi Eds

Any insights into the futures of Traore and Neves? Any potential movement there?

Also, anything you can tell us on possible incomings in these last 10-12 days. Many thanks.

{Ed002's Note - Wolves know that they are likely to have to deal with an offer for Traore from Spurs or Liverpool and are already looking to a replacement in Goncalo Guedes. With Pedro Neto out longer than expected, Willian Jose leaving the club, Cutrone going on loan and Mir on his way out, Wolves are in the market for a striker and have been looking at Divock Origi (with Lage having more interest than NES) and Carlos Vinicius although interest in Daryl Dike, Rafael Leao and Andy Delort has gone.

Ruben Neves (DM/CM) Wolves would look to get as close to €50M as they can should circumstances dictate Neves is sold, but they certainly don't want to sell and have made clear that he has a long-term contract and there have been no approaches at this time. Mr Mourinho is a huge fan and has tried to take him to three different clubs in the past - and he would, I am sure be interested in taking him to Roma but their focus right now is Zakaria after losing out on Xhaka as a Diarra replacement. He has always been seen as an option to replace Matic at Manchester United, but they have other priorities to deal with first and preferred options - although they are not working out well so Wolves might see an offer. Arsenal have preferred options but his agent is keen to have him move on so they cannot be discounted although failing to sell Xhaka will likely take them out of the picture. If Neves were to leave then Wolves would look to Amadou Diawara, Omar Mascarell, Joao Palhinha (DM) Jens Cajuste.

Looks increasingly like we are going to be somehow involved in thar last minute domino effect process that will be triggered by one of a number of big moves, especially Harry Kane to Man City. Would prefer that to happen sooner rather than later, then the process will begin. Given that Spurs will want to use the windfall on new recruits it would make little sense for them to wait until deadline day to sanction his departure.

I don’t think we will get answers from some of our targets whilst they have other supposedly better options open.
Would love Renato Sanchez but his Euro performance has alerted Champions League clubs. Will they still be interested in a player who is out for next six weeks? Cheeky bid for an injured player?

Not really our style but I think we are undoubtedly going to be drawn into a mad rush for the line in final 48 hours of the window. This will undoubtedly mean
outgoings as well as incomings, just hope we get them in before we let them go!

I think you have to have sure fire deals in place before you let big players go seems common sense approach.

It doesn't always work out that way. Mir looked sure fire to leave for Atletico Madrid, before Sevila swooped in. Had people like Romano saying the Atleti deal was close. Things can change quickly. It's hard not to be reactionary at times.

Ideally you would like a comparible Grealish like situation. Guaranteed money is put on the table we take 2-3 days to get incoming players sorted before it's accepted.

That's the problem with that deadline day business. It's a mad scramble and massive stress. Hence the Nuno story of deadline day with Dendoncker where he set the fire alarms off down at compton because ne needed a fag. (The Atletic)

You forget 1 thing. Nuno may well come in for traore, but does traore want to go to London. And also I believe neves will only go to man u as a bit player, so it's a good job his family are happy and settled in wolvo.

If that's the case with neves and now we are in the middle of August they should put a 100 million on him. If they wanted him for 40 million then they should have come last month. Not when the transfer window has all but a week to go.

Agree Demon. Squeaky bum time; especially with squad of quality fit players being so small.
