Whatever happens let’s keep supporting the lads however difficult it is during the game and then let your feelings known after the whistle ends. Tough times for sure but we will get through it.

If the lads actually bother to try yes.

It’s not looking as he will be relieved of his post, and yes I’m p1sswd as most are on here, unfortunately I have tickets and flight booked for Hammers game as I wanted to go to stadium as I’ve never been there.
So yes I will have to support the team, do I dislike GON, definitely not, I wanted him to succeed, but I just simply don’t see it, I seen footage of final whistle, And had to feel sorry for him. I understand fans being angry, but some really need to calm down, it’s a sad state we are in, on the pitch GON and players are to blame, but overall, we’ve been let down since our great heights of our Europa league season, the sale of Jota started the demise of the hard work that had been done by Nuno and Darymple and the likes.
Followed by Lage, LOP, and GON not being backed when needed, in amongst that a few panic buys to try and appease fans in transfer windows, The owners and the board need to take a big part of the blame in all Of this, unfortunately for Gary he will have to take the hit for all involved, Shi will Walk away untouched as normal. If GON is going to stay, something has to change and that starts this Monday, us fans too have to get behind the players and drive them on, as it stands we don’t have any managers that look like they want the job.

Great posts gents, I agree with all of the above! Especially don't like peeps being personal about GON, the blokes trying his best! Also think some need to remind themselves that he's ONLY 41 and in his third year of management! As such he has already achieved more than some managers do in there entire careers (kept two clubs in the Prem) ?

All true but Bournemouth did replace him with Iraola who is only a year older but doing so much better. Them there is also Hurzeler at Brighton who is relatively inexperienced.
I don't think GON has the tactical nous but there are others who seem to. Michael Carrick springs to mind.

True, but Iarola is still in his sixth year of management, Hurzeler (amazingly for his age) is in his eighth year! Both started at MUCH lower level clubs! If they'd have gone first season into the Prem then I suspect even they might have struggled to keep a team up! I still think GON could be a good manager some day, its just starting to look like too much too soon (especially with the way we are run:)!
Also with this I've said before we have a habit (in this country) of underestimating just how highly rated Iarola is from his time in Spain. He was a REAL coup for Bournemouth (also why they brutally sacked GON) I think the Iarola will end up at a big club someday, would LOVE us to be in for him but again I suspect he's already beyond our reach! ?

Again you're right Bullysboy. After listening to the BBC GON interview, it seems he's just keeping the seat warm for the next manager. I think one of the major factors for our poor showing is the fact that we do not have a defensive coach. We have GON and Shaun Derry who were both midfielders, a GK coach and 2 other coaches who never played the game. I said a few days ago that someone like Lescott could come in and help if needed.

I think O'neil needs a couple of seasons managing a league 1 team (not us lol) so he can develop.

Agree with both of you, and in fairness Wandering I agreed with you when you said it weeks ago (re: a proper defensive coach). At this stage I'd take Lescott but he might need to bring his boots mind, cause off current performances he might just get a game! ??
