So what happened with Marquinos, either he had a pre contract agreement or he didn't, it would seem the latter so what does that say for transfer competence?

Not our fault the guy and/or his agent goes back on an agreement which he definitely had or we wouldn't be looking to take it to arbitration (this one will go to court unless Arsenal pay us off - which I doubt).

If Arsenal had any sense they'd tear up the contract also we'd tell him to shove it too we don't players like that.

When you read the article it's fairly clear, they wanted a nominal fee (£3m) for him and clearly offered him to Arsenal who paid it. We tried to be clever and not pay it and guess where he's gone?! However you dress this up then yes Mike it seems that yet again we have failed to get the player over the line. We can talk about legal action all we want cause Arsenal have nicked a wonder kid from under our noses and the likely few quid compo they will pay to make it go away is not nearly as valuable as the player! So disspointing ?

Agree BuulyBoy, they were trying to get him for free. In today's market 3mil is chicken feed, not even a gamble. Now dragging their feet over Palhinha no doubt he will soon be snapped up by our rivals. I think next season could be a hard slog.
