Absolutely OMR. The writing is very much on the subway wall I fear. No successful football club picks up trophies without serious investment! You don't sell your best players, a team is built around them. Wolves under the present ownership will always be taking two steps back for every forward step! In football terms scoring one and conceding two, one of them being very much an own goal! To Fosun, our football club is a commodity, that's all. To us, it is our pride and joy. That is the difference, a massive difference at that!

Fox, when Fosun took us over we were mid table Championship. They invested in the team to the extent that when we got promoted then straight into Europe we were hit with EUFA FFP. You can't run before you can walk, the clubs revenue has to grow to stay on the right side of domestic and Euro FFP regulations, so the wealth of the owners is to some degree irrelevant.
It's a steady progression and yes, there will be bumps in the road, plateau's in the teams performance levels and the occasional change of manager and player who wants to leave. I fail to see the commodity argument given that Fosun's money doesn't pour out of the ground, it has to be earned with many calls on it throughout the group.
It's easy to lose a fortune owning a football club and I suspect that people who are astute enough to build a company like Fosun aren't going to fall for that and I for one don't blame them.

As a successful business which Fosun most certainly are it's not in their interests to see one of their major investments "fail" so I really don't get the Fosun aren't investing in the club and/or want out rumours.

Yes to some extent Wolves are a commodity but as stated when they took over, to Fosun they are a "Marquee" investment for which they have big plans going forward. At no point have they said they are going to throw loads of money at it, but they have promised to grow their investment and the standing of the club which so far is exactly what they have done.

Fox, Liverpool sold Philippe
Coutinho to Barcelona, which led to signing Virgil van Dijk and Alison. If we sell Neves it's because he wants to go and win things which you can't argue with. If we can get 2 quality players to replace him that's good business.

If Wolves is a commodity to Fosun that means they'd have to take profit from the club. They've recently written off over 100million debt and the only way they'd ever recoup that sort of money is by selling the club. Yes if they sold us now they'd make a tidy profit but for a company that makes about 1.5billion a year profit why would they do that?
