FoxInnWolf ; it also explains why Nuno left, why they will never employ a top Manager, why players don’t want to come, why players want to leave and why the club’s going backwards. Why Fosun want to own a Football Club, run it self financing, who’s only ambition seems to be Premier League survival, while feeling no responsibility to entertain their own fans at Molineux is anybody’s guess. The Championship and lower leagues are full of clubs who’ve tried the same business model, they came with the best intentions, can’t provide what they promised (like others before them) the best thing they could do for themselves and the fans is surely to cut their losses and invest in something they know something about.

Oxley they have made a significant amount of value in their investment so far with the club. It's not in their interest to let that value drop. They want to grow organically without chucking money at it. Like all investment it's a risk I wish they would spend more but I can't see it!
I want it now because I'm 70 and not in great health but if that's how it's going to be we've just got to suck it up pal. That's life!

I think peeps need to get with the times cause most clubs work towards a self finance model these days and that's no bad thing as it means we aren't relying on a sugar daddy! Look at Chelsea, it's been widely reported that the biggest concerns investors had was just HOW much Roman had been propping up the clubs finances. They are very lucky cause if they weren't located where they are or if (begrudgingly to his credit) they hadn't had the success they have then I suspect it would have been a MUCH harder sell! Look at Everton, their owners have ploughed money in hows that worked out for them?! You think they have problems now just wait till their next FFP meeting!

Sometimes I think peeps live in a parallel universe. Not entertaining the fans? Can you actually recall the thrill of playing against Crewe, Gillingham (no disrespect to them) whilst dreaming of a chance in the Prem. Have you forgotten the excitement when Club records in fees were paid, for Costa, Neves, Raul, and winning the Championship. Remind me when did we last do that. The great games when we beat top clubs, we played in Europe. All this done by owners who apparently lacking in ambition. Yes we have hit a wall, like so many other clubs, the league rules are designed to maintain the status quo. Breaking that mould requires astute management and patience. That is the real world. The fantasy world that some seem to live in is where clubs like Leeds and very nearly Everton live, and the latter may do so if the FA stick to the rules. But each to his own, perhaps that is the world that appeals to the fantasy chasers, back to Crewe, Gillingham and no hope.

Bully, Roman Abramovich is owed £1.6 billion by Chelsea. That's how much extra he has chucked in since he bought the club 19 years ago. The new owners are buying Chelsea for £4.25 billion and are not allowed any return on their money for 10 years. Wow. I was going to say, Wolves aren't in the same league as Chelsea, but we are! Just six places behind Chelsea. Maybe this will encourage Fosun to spend every penny permitted by FFP to close the gap financially as there's not the same huge gap in performance.

I think we'd all like to see more money spent on players but the model is for organic growth as Ken suggests and to avoid a looming FFP disaster such as the one Bully's has mentioned.
We're 6 years into a ten year plan, which has seen the club's value grow tenfold and some of the best players I've seen here.
Like some I'm not sure if the current top table has the football acumen to get the team rebuild or the Manager right, ask me again in 2023. I am, however, grateful that we are in the hands of one of China's largest private companies, who, let's not forget, has invested in the team and recently lifted a £100M debt off the club.

Ken68 : l’m not far behind you, why should Wolves fans always have to “suck it up”? Two League Cups and the Sherpa Van Trophy in over sixty years, where’s our season or two in the spotlight? We don’t even play entertaining football to achieve our mid table position, bottom line is Fosun aren’t delivering what they promised, why should we be happy with mediocrity when clubs we’re competing against are strengthening, what have Wolves fans done to deserve getting lumbered with a succession of owners who think we should just be grateful we have a Football Club, some fans are even happy with it, if we’re not going to compete we might as well have a season or two back in the Championship and probably will.
